I really enjoyed and learned from this video but before you painted Hawkeye he looked like him but when you did the hair you made him look like capt kirk lol great job thx for the tips
Actually, the green part is the iris and the dot is the pupil 😜. Very helpful video though. I was wondering how you always get the eyes so perfect. You make it look so easy!
@@TheCreativeCollector did it take you a while to get the eyes down? It takes me MULTIPLE tries to get them right. I dread doing the eyes on every model I paint.
I know this is an old video, but it's been great for me learning how to paint. Question (for anyone) the Tamiya 87172 and 87173 or 87153. is there much difference between the 3? Not sure which to get for ultra fine painting
@gref9143 Oh stupid me. There isn't really much difference in their fine brushes other than length of the brush hairs. I use the longer ones for fine lining and the shorter for eyes and stuff like blotting.
And another tip. The only part of a brush, that are painting, is the tip of the brisels. The rest is just streaking and smearing paint arround. Only the tip is painting, then you avoid the weird brisel streaks. 🙂
Cool and interesting video! But I think you made a mistake ;-) At 1:45, seeing the figure, I immediately remembered the actor. And at 6:50 I thought that you are painting some other person. I listened to what you called him, I looked in Google Hawkeye and seeing him realized that I initially guessed. This is Jeremy Renner. And I realized that it was wrong with your figure! He has hair and eyebrows light brown in the series, or even redheads! Until you painted your head, they were skin colors, which is light brown. And you painted dark brown (closer to black) and I could no longer recognize it =) p.s. Maybe someone will not agree with me, but it seems to me so. p.p.s. Sorry, I'm using google translate.
I'm not painting him after the series. This is from the first Avengers movie, and no, he has darker brown eyebrows and hair in that movie. OF course painting is subjective and you can paint it whatever you wish.
I’ve only started hand painting models and I find this so helpful, Thanks for a great video
Perfect time for me and my Akuma bust!!
Omg just in the nic of time! I'm about to paint juggernaut head tomorrow
Cool. I hope this helps!

Oh I'm not done with him yet. lol
Very helpful. Thank you for making these tutorials.
You're very welcome!
Nice job Henry!! I never thought about using a Gundam marker for drawing out the iris and pupil.

Yeah I got the two mixed up. lol

Not really. I just practiced a bit to try and get my hand steady
Thanks! That helps so much!
Thanks man
I always feel like Rick morronis in honey I shrunk the kids when I’m wearing mine 😂
Haha! I can so see that!
Can u thick toothpicks to use to paint 🎨 the eyes 👀 if u don't have a painting brushes
Absolutely! I used toothpicks to paint whole minis back years ago when I first started.
Love your videos. You are an inspiration for me to keep practicing! Thank you!
And thank you for watching 👀
WOW THATS HELPS , Thanks nice job!!!
Thanks!
Looks great 👍
Thank you, this is extremely helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much for this!
Damn fine eyes.
what colour did you use for hawkeye hair.eye brows and lips thanks
Just a mixture of common browns and tans. For the lips I use flesh mixed with a rose color.
Y'know, I got these fancy eye decals...

I'm not totally sure but usually the difference is whether it's flat or gloss. You'd have to check the bottle
sorry I was referring to the ultra fine brush models@@TheCreativeCollector

As ever Henry Awsome 👍
Спасибо большое! Очень круто! Весь клип меня не покидало ощущение, что я смотрю на Гарика Харламова, очень похожи)
Very interesting!
Bro, it’s the other way, the pupile is the tiny black dot in the middle and the iris is the bigger colour dot :) Anyway, awsome job there! 🙏
I knew I was getting it wrong. 🤣
Got any advice for doing an eye at 1/12 scale?
Use a micron pen.
Do you ever do the 'white-dot' trick....
Absolutely not.
Do you recommend any specific brand of brushes for eyes or do you mix it up?
I use Tamiya detail brushes because they're small enough for tight places like eyes.
@@TheCreativeCollector Thanks!
Awesome
Have you made a Lobo statue yet?
Not yet
What u use for painting?? Its possible with acrilycs paint??
Yes I use acrylic
How do you "seal the model" ? Thank you
I use Krylon Color Maxx flat from a rattle can.
Sorry got lost in translation, what tool are you using for the eyelashes? It’s not a brush, it looks like a pen… I’m a newbie btw lol thanks!
You can use a micron pen or a detail brush. Most of the time I use a fine detail brush.
How do yout paint teeth to look so perfect that is my issue
I use an off white and paint in super thin coats and build up. Then I use a pin wash
Can u make an eye guide for people with shaky hands?
I can try to in an upcoming video.
@@TheCreativeCollector wow I was jk but if you seriously have advice, I would be mighty appreciative! Subscribed!

Exactly
Great video, a quick question! What colors did you use for Juggernaut's hair, I like the way it looks and could use it on a build I am working! 😎
I used a flat brown base, then a dark brown wash, then dry brushed a light brown and reddish brown, and highlighted the tips with a dark yellow.
@@TheCreativeCollector thank you! 😁
great job, my eyes still come out very bad and messy. i keep trying though. i must have tried the same head 50 times. haha
I guess the eyeball god isn't answering my prayers. All my figures have walleye eyeballs like Marty Fieldman.
It definitely takes practice. I still have trouble sometimes
