Really cool editing skills guys especially the Alice in wonderland piece🎥🎞
Thanks Andre appreciate the kind words 😁🤙
We experience that dilemma all the time. There's never too much space in our stomachs. The tree church is beautiful. Perfect setting for a wedding. It would be very magical.
💯 if we renew our vowels it'll be the tree church or green dragon Inn 🐉🤔😅
many peter moments here, growing beard, drinking air wine, but beautiful garden - feels like a hunter valley vibe there - all the lovely estate
Hahaha he's just living his best life doing whatever lolol always cracks me up 🤣
Dumplings look delicious and that tiny door is cute lol .
😁 dumplings were 💯 on point, we want to eat more from their menu hahaha
Yoooo! haha 😂 Always love that. That's a good looking breakfast. Miss dumplings like that. So nice to see them making the baos. Perfect fuel for your garden walk. The designs of the gardens are quite impressive.
😁 dumplings are delicious to the taste but dangerous to the waist when you eat them for breakfast like this trust me I know from first hand experience 😂😂
very awesome video, really love you both especially Yen, so great watching you and thanks for sharing your adventure and giving us great tips...I love dumplings too...all the best in your channel....
We're glad you enjoyed the video 😁✌ thanks for your kind words 😊
Omg dumplings looked so dang good and omg the tree church is soooooooo cool
For dumplings steamed or boiled traditional hand made has always been our go to meal👌 😍 tree church is awesome, I wanted to remarry there straight away 😂 (Peter)
So many dumplings! The pancakes look good too 😋
Classic Chinese street foods 🤤
Your vlog is right on time because we were planning to go to Hamilton nextmonth. Its nice to have a glimpse of the place and the food. Thank you guys!
Nice 😁👍 hope you have an awesome trip. Do let us know what you decide to get up to as well.
Hey Peter and Yen!! So great to see you guys, and Hamilton Garden sounds like such a unique place to visit! Your food stop looked delicious, and that sweet and salty we bet was great. Yens dumplings were beautiful and love that sauce. The price wasn't bad either. That's cool you've been here before, and love the architecture and landscape of this area. You can never go wrong with a free place to visit, we would definitely leave a donation! The gardens are stunning. The concept garden is fun! The topiaries were so freaky! Butters would have went with the Pav as well.. they are so damn good! They really had such a cool concept in mind when they designed this place. It will be interesting to see how much it grows in another 10 years! Thank you for taking us with you and love you guys to the moon! 🥰😊🌛💖
Yeah butters let's go! Team pavlova hahahaha it's so hard to turn down that creamy treat. The gardens and tree church are both amazing places we had a blast 🙌❤
Another awesome video guys, and the dumplings looks so delicious. I will remind myself to go there, when i next hit up the Tron.
💯 try the dumplings if you're in town they are the bomb 🤤 there's a version with spicy sauce and noodles that also looked great
Awesome gardens! You guys look like Alice in Wonderland!😁. I think you did mention it! Great Vlog! Those dumplings are yummy too! The tree church looked like out of Lord of the Rings! 😀
😁 such great use of imagination to build a church from trees 🌳 the results look amazing too 😍 hahaha yes we noticed the Alice in wonderland theme in the gardens so thought had to make that lil cut scene 🤙
“You ever get into those situations where there’s so many things you wanna eat, but there’s only so much space in your stomach?”
ALL THE TIME! 😂
😂 you n me both Greg what a predicament
Mmmm dumplings - what a nice meal to start the day/video! Seriously guys, I want to travel too lol (even if it's just locally)! "Peter wishing he could grow a beard" 😝 Add the traditional costume, a chinese chess set and tea would be perfect for a movie/drama set. The Indian garden is beautiful! Lol Peter drinking Wine??? :P Probably it's Kombucha haha! Love the magic door! The cinematic section is amazing - too short!! Ahhhh the "Alice in Wonderland" Section is so cute!! I like how the walls of the Gumdrops cafe says "Ah...ah..." TreeChurch looks incredible, it's almost magical and romantic!
Coming from you guys who we really admire in the cinematic space that's such a compliment appreciate it ❤❤ the whole day was really fun for us, and being able to see the tree church and explore the gardens properly were both awesome... n having dumplings anytime always makes things even better 😁🤙#teamkombucha 😂

Hahaha we had been eating dumplings for multiple days before this too.. but sometimes that's all we wanna eat
Hamilton Gardens are such cool gardens and loveeee all the gardens you visited here too. Very well maintained and each garden makes us so intrigued what we will find there.
Gumdrops dessert looks like a nice stop to visit, especially after exploring the gardens. Good choice on the pavlova 👍🏻😍

Hamilton is great 👍 and the gardens are always beautiful 😍
Love a lime milkshake too - good choice Yen! 🧋

So cool that you had the whole place to yourselves!
Cool huge and tiny doors next to the magic trees!
Tree church might be our favourite part (after that pavlova 😉😉)
Good episode, guys!
Thanks guys glad you enjoyed it 👍 we're lucky to have been able to explore the tree church in sunset 🌇 with just us. Made it even more special
Hamilton Gardens really is a great way to travel the world in one place - very cool spot!
🌿💯🌿 real gem of a place in New Zealand. Great that it is constantly getting better and bigger too
Wow the tree church is an amazing idea! I can only imagine how beautiful it will be in like another 10 years time 😃
After another 10 years and the leaves fill in even more it'll be even more impressive 🌿🌿🌿

Hamilton garden is such an awesome spot, really beautiful especially in summer when it's all in bloom 😍
The tree church is incredible! Never seen anything quite like it.
Amazing right! Such a hidden gem 💎
Ah, something to convince my husband to come to NZ - he loves gardens! ;)
I'm really hoping your borders will be open again by next summer.
Thanks for the beautiful video quality, guys!
Oh he'll love it then! It's such a great one this place.. so varied and well looked after.. plus the tree church is really unique and a lovely peaceful spot too 🙂 Hope our borders open and you guys can visit too! 💕💕🌼
I loved Hamilton Gardens!
I'm not usually one for gardens, but I stopped there for lunch a couple of years ago and really wished I'd had more time to explore...
I'll definitely be going back though!
😅 at first we didn't know we were garden people until we started going to gardens and realizing there are some really amazing ones around the world (Hamilton included). Now we are 💯 for a good garden walk 🌿😁
The troooooon!!! Miss that year at Waikato uni 💙💙💙
Always nice to bring back some uni memories 😊🤙
How beautifully edited! Thoroughly enjoyed the visuals
Thanks Angel 😊✌ we were both pretty happy with how this one came out too
Don't know how I missed this upload, especially as it's my old home town of Hamilhole. Great food segment (As usual it made me hungry),but good to see you guys hit Hamilton Gardens. I know that place very well, having been on one of the original crews back in the late 70s early 80s,that started to transform that place from an old barren wasteland (that we hunted rabbits at when we were kids) to the spectacle that it has eventually transformed into. Also great that some of the incidental music you used in this was by one of my fave lo-fi artists Guustavv with "Popcorn Possum",during that tree church segment from Ohaupo (another area I used to hoon around as a youth)but, well chosen music guys.
Hahaha didn't think anyone would recognize the music! Nice nice, use a lot of stuff from Guustav and personally enjoy that lo fi sound a lot for the vlogs. Awesome job on that garden! Props to anyone involved in that project cause it looks world class now 👏👌
@@PeterandYenhaha,yeah,as soon as I heard it play I thought I recognised it, yup, love that lo-fi sound.
Hi you two! The Maori garden I would describe as very utilitarian; reminiscent of my grandparents' garden in which it was us kids' job to weed it, which we hated. Happy and not-so-happy memories of long ago and which I sometimes refer to as the ''dim, dark ages''. Twelve years since I went to Hamilton Gardens; time for another visit, I think, soon. Thanks for this. Take care.
Hi Francis 👋oooo that's a great word to describe the Maori garden "utilitarian" gonna use that one day 😁 well one positive of all that hard labor is at least you will have some mean as kumaras 🤤
@@PeterandYen Haha
The tree church is sooo beautiful! I wouldn't mind getting married there, even though I (Maria) am not very religious lol
New Zealand isn't very rigid on how religious you are, many churches will allow you to get married there even if you're not Christian or catholic 😉
@@PeterandYen Nice! Good to know.
The Hamilton gardens are so amazing! I saw your photos on IG from there. You guys got some really beautiful shots there 😍😍
😁 yen's the master photographer between us I can only do quantity and hope one is good 😂
I just love Hamilton Garden. Been there twice actually, and would love to go back some day. That treeChurch lookes awesome too. Also went to the Zuru Night Glow at Balloons over Waikato two years ago. Can recommend that. Love your videos guys. Thank you heaps :)
The great thing about Hamilton gardens is there is always something in development so each time you visit its different. Oooo cool the balloons over Waikato looks totally awesome. Thank you for watching appreciate the support 😊✌
Why have I not heard of gum drop deserts? You discover something new every day 😅😅😅
😁 it's opened fairly recently, needa go back sometime and try the sticky date 🤤
Love the thumbnail😍😍
😁✌ thanks sundai
“peter wishing he could grow a beard” 😂
😂 one day
Lovely dress!!!
Thank you 😊✌
Yumm! Loved the Chinese food. You guys always seem to find the best Asian food in small towns of NZ. Wow! I wish I got to see the realist garden, it was closed last time I went too. You guys did an awesome job on the video. Your editing really made it awesome to watch. I love how they let you guys got to visit the tree church even though it was closed, that’s so cool ☺️ And I loved how all the flowers were in bloom, very pretty 🌸
Thanks heaps Lana! We both really liked how this video turned out so glad others have enjoyed it too 😊 I really liked the surrealist garden.. totally felt like Alice in Wonderland! I hope they expand it even more next time 🤞 Yea it was very nice of Bev to let us in after hours! So cool to have the place to ourselves 🙂🌳 Bet it looks even cooler when the leaves are super dense but we got that beautiful golden hour which was awesome 🥰
@@PeterandYen Yes! Seems like you guys got there at the perfect time ☺️
Those cicadas are deafening! Must have been a pain when editing this video. There's usually no reason to stop in Hamilton, but I will definitely go see those gardens!
😂 yes! Strangely they didn't feel as loud when we were filming on the day but then as we started editing we noticed it was quite the racket 😂
Your ability to unearth amazing nuggets never ceases to surprise 😮👍
Thanks Daryl 😁🤙 New Zealand does have a lot of gems 💎 all this talk of gems and nuggets 😂 still wish we found one in waihi 😂
@@PeterandYen ha ha, maybe better luck in Shantytown in Westland?
If you keep with these suggestions I will legit start googling metal detectors and get waay to into it for yen's liking 😂
@@darylmckay ooo yes! I remember this place I went there with my parents as a kid.
@@PeterandYen hmmmm, maybe I started something here.... traditionally gold fever has caused insanity...
Ok so the Dumpling house is now on my “to visit” list...
It's really yum 😋 let us know how you find it 😁✌
loved your video! the hamilton gardens are so beautiful. I was wondering if you have visited the gardens lately and seen the new additions and changes?
Haven't been lately but looking forward to seeing the new additions when we get the chance. Maybe sometime this summer 😁👍
Starting off with a "massive one of these 👌" is always a good way to start a video... Crispy pancakes looked 😋.. Was Peter contemplating his beard growing in the Japanese Garden of Contemplation? Sounds very...contemplative😁. "If we don't get lost, you guys won't get lost"...made me think of all your different adventures when your 30 minute hikes ended up being 2 hours hikes 🤣. Great vid guys and thanks as always for a slice of NZ!
😂 I've always wanted to be able to grow a beard... however unfortunately for me I'm just not a very hairy person. Takes days just for someone to notice there's anything there 😂 but on the bright side a box of razor blades lasts a year 😂
@@PeterandYen Nah...beards are overrated😁 I will say, my closest friend (Chinese guy - there's a reason I mention that) grows a insane, thick, mountain man burly beard..but what's the crazy part (why I mentioned the Chinese thing is coming) is even though he has jet black hair on his head as you would expect from a Chinese guy, his beard has red hair in it!!! Not just a few strands, but like a good mixture of red and black!!! How bizarre is that??? Maybe he contemplated his beard in the G.O.C😁 Speaking of insane... Francis 😮😮😮😵
Hahaha it's strange but not super uncommon I have a few friends that have similar red beards so random right.... dude Francis is just a beast I wanted to mention it earlier but contained my excitement in case you haven't watched it yet. The power that guy possesses is def on the level of Tyson 😯
@@PeterandYen absolutely frightening... too bad Overeem wasn’t Ubereem when he fought Francis. That would have been fun...or maybe even Carwin. Will be interesting if anyone can deal with his power.
Derrick Lewis! Wanna see that rematch. He's my current favorite male mma fighter hahahaha. But otherwise heavyweight Jones will probably be a fair challenge too
peter had to have the pavlova -- for the australia viewer haha! tina wru
Hahaha always trying to stir something with that pav talk 😂😂
Hello from Brazil
Hello hello Lucelia hope you've been well 😊
20 pieces! :) - 10 each!
Dumpling perfection 😁❤️
Hi Peter and Yen, for your short clip roll, if you slowed it down abit as she was walking, it would of looked very cinematic 👌
Thanks for the feedback 😁👍 we really should test our slow mo function more on the camera, it has the tendency to make really grainy footage so I think we need to take the time to figure out how to get the settings right in that area. But yes totally agree a bit slower would have looked better
nice
Thanks 👍
I went and got the crispy pancake after watching the vid. I didn't realise they still had it at the Claudelands store...
Ooo did they stop selling it for awhile?
@@PeterandYen they don't sell it at their city central shop, so I just thought they weren't selling it at the Claudelands store....Kampong on Victoria Street also do one as well, which is good too..
you drove past my house by chartwell. :)
😁👍
Love Hamilton Gardens! it's so huge right?! I don't think I got to see the whole garden when we visited. It's so gramable right?!
😁 yeah definitely, yen took so many nice pictures during our time here. Lots of shots for insta this week 😂
“Peter wishing he could grow a beard” 😂😂
😂 some wishes never come true
Katherine Mansfield's house is in Wellington and you can go inside it.
O didn't know that thanks for the tip, will need to come back and check it out. We've been to her study in whangarei
Oh wait no I take it back that was Jane Mander 🤣🤣 my bad

Peter wishing he could grow a beard, damn I wish mine would stop growing pain in the neck and face....
😂 somehow when it comes to beards we all wish we had the opposite of what we have.
