correct me if im wrong, but is the 4-man strategy summary off? you say to run short, then grab the fungus left at the current statue, then run short again. shouldnt you run long, then short? following the strategy in the video would mean long runs are never done.
1. Nice name :), 2. You are correct actually. I realize that when I did 4-mans we did that, because long runs would not get done the way I said lol. I updated the vid description to correct that part of the strategy. Thanks for spotting this!
Also in publics, you can clear the sticky fungus off of other players for a quick 10 contribution points. Also when running 4 man's the most common run will be long short rot not short short rot. Just fyi so newer people coming in don't get confused
I hate that method of 4 manning. My group does gather 17, deposit at tray. Gather ~26, rot 10 and rot your spot then run short. Take the materials from the tray that teammate left and take that long. Then repair statue and wait for 2nd mid and then kill.
@Stew G yes the combo your group uses works just fine! And is actually just as easy. It's just not the most common path (over 75% of all groups will ask you to run long, short, rot)
Kind of yes, that can happen and it sucks. I always click on the node first because it'll tell you if someone's already rotted it. If you have bad luck and someone does beat you to it, the only thing you can do is look around and see if any other nodes need rotting. Pro tip: the fair ring mechanic is a nice free tele to other nodes when you need it lol.
Not sure if there's confusion on the wording, but according to the wiki: "Contributing resources to statues: +2 (per resource)". Depositing in the deposit box next to the statues does not give any points, but adding resources to the statue itself before restoring does.
If you've got BIS/max for all, I don't think it'll make much difference, so its your preference. The only thing I'd consider is that usually the Hunter spot is the most crowded (so the worst for contribution points), and Fishing is generally the slowest for people in publics without BIS/max. So you could probably complete Fishing runs a bit faster than most other people in publics if you gear for it.
@@jasper_72 fishing it is. From my testing of getting Bik anima for dinarrows fishing did well with outfit and aura(dunno if that’s related). Your logic sounds good to me thank you.

Always got time for a Jasper video. I'm an iron so every video thus far has literally helped in some way.
So glad to hear it, thank you 🙂

Yep, was mistaken there. I added the correct strategy in the description 😬

if someone beats you to it to rot a node, is the rotten fungus useless?

Depositing to statue do not provide any points, it's gathering, building ,mid fungus and core

I’m maxed with bis for all the skills. What ones should I do.
