Just a correction - The nerf made to the scrimshaw affected specifically implings and nothing else. When the bug was active, using one of these scrimshaws was generating 10-20 implings per elder tree. It was literally spawning swarms of them, it was hilarious. Mod Cel confirmed within the same reddit post that the change did nothing to nest rates, and my own personal experience supports this. I was getting just as many nests both before and after the change, but I was no longer leading a colony of implings. This was with over 3 hours of woodcutting before and after (significantly more after).

You can use the superior resource locator to teleport to random elder trees, I used it and it made moving to new trees much faster during the grind for pieces.
Like the narrator, i already had my first piece from a nest, so thanks to the video, i got one from Oak. I went and got a scrimshaw, brooch of the gods, rabbit's foot, and the cape. I just got #3 piece. 1/2 hour used up on the first scrimshaw. #4 15 scrimshaw minutes later. I also have a 'luck of the dwarves' ring. I wonder if that helped.
I spent at least the first 4 hours chopping, not realizing I needed to talk to Oak before being eligible for the drops 😢 Now I'm about 5 hours dry so far. I remember getting around 1M arch xp getting the mattock pieces, so bring on the grind I guess. Edit: I didn't realize just how powerful the tree shaking scrimshaw is. Fortunately, I have it unlocked at my port and now I'll be getting that sweet 400% bonus 😁
You don't have to talk to Oak first. You can see in the video I got my Imcando piece #2 from him because I already got #1 from a nest before. You forgot to mention evil trees, it states that the 30min boost reward after killing one gives "A significantly increased chance of shaking bird's nests out of trees.[1]"

Gratz on the luck lol, and yeah they're instanced per player. You can chop them for 5 min then the tree goes on cooldown for 5-15 min if I remember right
I have no idea tbh. The luck tiers in the wiki don't specifically mention effects on bird nest chances. Just the rabbit foot is mentioned separately as increasing the chance. No idea by how much or how it plays with other tier rings.

Believe they do, but only after you build the tier 3 Grove. Haven't tried Ivy myself but if you see you're getting birds nests+, you should be good to get the Incando nests.
Does anyone know if you can get more than one Imcando hatchet? Since you get the first piece from Oak I don't know if it's a possibility, but I already have the Imcando hatchet and I'm still getting Imcando Pieces. I wouldn't mind having one Imcando hatchet on my toolbelt and one augmented one in my bank that I have perks on.

@heavyiron3572 figured it out, if interested lol. The mic has a button for super noise canceling mode. I turned it on because it's loud around here and after playing with it, looks like the recording quality gets crappier. Thanks for the watches on other vids btw 🙂
all around there is some pretty terrible advice in this. as others have said the scrimshaw is not nerfed, also you ditched the rabbit for the hatchet which stacks with your skillcape and scrimshaw to get MORE nests. second if you lack the golden skillcape buff you can use the always adzed up buff to cut anywhere any time, there's no direct correlation between cuts to nests, but yew and magic seem to have a better drop rate than elders currently. third you dont have a woodbox in the gameplay. if you lack the porter buff it will bank them for you to increase efficency.

And regarding log box/porters/adze perk it's true that helps if you don't have the golden cape buff (or orthen core + superheat prayer I'd prefer), but this video was long enough lol and I didn't want to get into how to porter.
Shame the Imcado design is basic as hell, crystal looks better. Im sure half the designers are pros and other half awful. Like tier 50 pickaxes are high texture and well designed, but elder rune pickaxes which released at the same time are ugly and low texture.
As far as I know, none of these boost birds nest chances. At least I don't get a "your LoTD shines" message on birds nest drops. I have the golden cape porter active now but the juju potion porter effect would be nice if it runs out before you get all the axe pieces lol.

yeah on the first day I was getting like 15 implings per tree. I got quite a few of the kingly implings that gave like 100k worth of items it was nice

God stuff. The resourceful aura gives a 10% chance not to deplete the resource in woodcutting. It lasts an hour and is extendable with vis was.
yup, though ik the invention perk that does smth similar doesn't work on elder trees. idk how the aura interacts with elder trees tho

With all buffs i think you need 5-10 hours on average. When you dont use the scrimshaw ots 20+ hours

The bad luck mitigation is a lie. Ive gone 20+ hours of woodcutting, 60+ nests and havent gotten my second piece. Yes i got the one from Oak
I'm guessing its like boss pet thresholds or something. Aka really high and almost negligible as far as I know.

I got lucky on the first 2 parts had them after 1.5 hours. The last one came after another 4.5 hours so it took me 6 hours in total
