My buddy has your F4 18x51 boat and is not happy how you just spray the foam in the bottom of the boat and it's not sealed from water. Now it's stays constantly soaked with water like a sponge and adds easily 100+ pounds of weight that isn't necessary. Not well thought out, and poorly engineered. He just cut all that soaked foam out and is now welding it back up. Added 2-3 mph on top end speed with the wet foam out of the boat.
Call Paul Reynolds. He is national sales manager. I ask him directly about ur concern and issue. It should be warranted. This was a know issue for excel. Supposedly they switched vendors and foam type.
@@JackDrenalin ill check into that but I doubt there going to free of cost remove the old saturated foam and repaint and weld the floor back. Besides it's already been done on my buddy's dollar. Just trying to make people aware and grab Excels attention of the only flaw I see in their boat honestly.
@@davidmiller741 update. I called one of the engineers at the utah plant and his response was the best I have heard. They did changes on the foam type and vendor. He soaked the foam for three mos. He found that the foam only increased its wieght by 3 grams after the soak time. Now this was on a small scale as it was in a 5 gallon bucket, but Made me feel better so I bought a new F4 last week. Paul Reynolds made me feel better as well about excels commitment to quality and said if there were any foam issues they would back it up.

I see that you did not get a reply from them. Not cool.
