I'm so thankful to get picked for this! I really enjoyed making my Saskia deck.
I love playing around with Axis of Mortality and Soul Conduit.
There's more about some of the cards I picked in the description on Archidekt. The mana base and some of the card draw cards are still kinda a first draft and I would love any feedback!

I also have a Displaced Dinos "Dino Nuggies" deck. But I use Rocco Street Chef as the commander.

@@92snorlax its a pretty affordable list that is quite functional in most pods(also has a few favorites just because i like them haha)
the toughest part is hold a few cards(like caltrops effects and calculating lich) and political navigation on table

I think my most unusual builds are my "Red elveses" deck. It was inspired by the band Red Elvises. So it's animar elves, trying to use Artificial evolution and Krenko mob boss to make red elves. Then I have an "Oprah Winfrey" deck that is Blim, comedic genius and vehicles. Because you get a car and you get a car and you get a car, everybody gets a car!!!!!!

Really appreciated this. I've been looking for cool/weird deck ideas and totally forgot how fun Kibo looked. At least one of my friend groups now really loves my new Kibo Nanner deck.
Just a reminder: just because you think a deck is better then the others doesn't mean that you should put the others down. I'm sure the other 2 brewers put a lot of effort on their decks, as did I. Being civl is not hard at all.
That Isshin deck is probably my favorite variant of the commander. Never thought of using him that way

It’s funny seeing someone who took Kibo the same way I did lol. Mine is a little more combo-y and I added the restriction to not allow my bananas to have other creature types (Halsin makes them a bear, Displaced Dinosayrs a dinosaur) and I like to give them infect and maybe a Chandra’s Ignition 😅

I think Unquenchable Fury is a non-bo with the theme of the Isshin deck (assuming that the intent is to put it on a creature your opponents control). Since it gives the ability to the creature, it won't trigger Isshin when on an opponents creature. It will, of course, work on your own creatures, but that seems out-of-place in this deck, and I suspect it might've been included with the thinking it behaved as if it said "Whenever enchanted creature attacks, ..." instead.
you are kinda right on your thinking, but i put it as a card that is useful early game, even with a single trigger that i can get back late to enchant my own creature as a wincon
the return it to your hand is what really sold me on it
Well dang, Ive had an Isshin deck that does that exact same thing for a while now.
My isshin deck isn’t all “opponents trigger the attack effects” but I do like throwing a few in there to throw people off

I am building Roxanne and I am loving all the fun treasures and artifacts that tap for mana. I had 76 mana from treasures in one turn and used crackling drake to finish the games

The most unique deck I've built is either my clone scarab god deck. Or my oops all Gates Garth one eye deck. Every land is a gate. And the deck contains all 52 or 53 cards that are either a gate or care about gates
atla palani, nest tender. using only one creature. that creature being hostility. then using dragons approach to make 27 power worth of creatures with haste for 3 mana. it is a a dragons approach deck, that isn't burn, it is a an atla palani combat token deck with only 2 creatures(including the commander) talk about left field fun

@@joedoe7572 i have a friend who also plays a variant using 5 creatures it absolutely is alot of fun to play against. but the fact hostility can shuffle back into the library unless exiled and with the high density of sac outlets needed to reliable kill your egg tokens... it won't be often that you get blown out dead in the water with hostility removed... also there are white sources that let you take an exiled faceup card and return to graveyard which shuffles the hostility back into the library..... alot of fun really resilant and since the 3/1 off hostility are 3/1 skullclamp heaven
@@brandonbentz3555 sounds like a really cool deck to play against once in a while, but not my style of deck to build myself. Sounds like basically only does one thing the same every game

My weirdest decks are that way because of roleplay elements, I find those decks more fun to play than the first decks I made, even if the first decks are probably still stronger decks, it's not always about building really good 7s, sticking to 6s can make for more memorable gameplay, complete with plenty of back and forth and splashier effects. My roleplay based Gruul Eldrazi build has an average MV over 5.5, it's not running fast mana but it is running so much ramp that it's normal to have multiple effects in your opener, Gruul ramp >>> Colourless ramp, and you also get a heaping bucket of Fight effects, card draw, and anthems, I don't know why people don't stick with something like Nikya and all the land ramp they can fit in for Eldrazi, I suspect you'd be much better off than Zhulodok, both in terms of actual card quality as well as in terms of speed, Zhulodok loves to Cascade into mana rocks unfortunately, and technically you can just run it in Nikya anyways.
Must say, I love decks that dare to run stuff like Axis of Mortality, it's such a sleeper of an effect, it's great if you're in Orzhov and can run Sanguine Bond and/or Exquisite Blood to add to the effect (changing life totals counts as gaining or losing life accordingly, so it can trigger those other fun cards). Now I want to build a Breena deck!
Ishin - is easily the best deck here. It was the best built as well.
Saskia - I didn't know we could just throw "cool" cards in a deck that couldn't compete outside of a precon pod. Average cmc is too high to not run the green ramp package. Definitely a bulky "sometimes i win when my opponents do nothing" deck
Kibo - sure, its bananas. It could work. Again, i didn't know we could build decks that really play clunky and are specifically gonna be chosen because someone's opinion thinks its "cool."
Next time I'll be sure to build fun-over-function to have a chance to win.
I noticed there's a Gaea's Avenger in the Kibo deck but I'd recommend a better budget alternative in the form of Sardian Avenger for a very similar effect.

My vote is on isshin, saskia seems too fragile of a strategy, and kibo isn't as out there. Isshin is in the right spot of creative and plausible.

Honestly surprised the first two are finalists as they seem like somewhat typical Kibo and Isshin decks, but that Saskia one is definitely different!
im not a fan of the Archidekt UI/layout/playtesting. i vastly prefer Moxfield in every regard. but this is a cool competition and its tempting to temporarily transfer my decks to take part
