Oeridian Culture in Greyhawk

- The Grey League presents an overview in the Oeridian culture in the World of Greyhawk as used by myself. Most of the information was based on an article 'Races of Oerth' by Dennis Lovatt, published works such as 'from the ashes' and 'Living greyhawk' as well as the Canonfire website. Thanks for watching! Don't forget to subscribe, comment & share.

I run a Greyhawk campaign, and your videos are my go-too for brushing up on the world knowledge. Thank you for this priceless work you've done. Stuff on Greyhawk is hard to find
Thank you for the support.
I find it interesting how differently certain settings are perceived disregarding of the intent of the inventor. I see this with the Conan setting as well as with the Greyhawk setting. I was just listening and not look while painting miniatures when I frowned when you described the fashions.. seeing the pictures you were showing... pictures of fashion from classic high middle ages (~13xx) to renaissance of modern times (~16xx). I imagined Greyhawk being at the earily edge of the middle ages (~800). The same happened with the Aquillonia of Conan... envisioned by Howard as a high middle ages incarnation it found it more compellingly brought to live by FunCom's Age of Conan.
But great summary! Thank you for your effort!
Thanks for listening to the video and catching that fashion part. I too started out, back in the day, placing it at ~1000 but I have read some canonfire articles and I believe grognard has a good blogpost that is a compelling argument to put the great empires in an age closer to the Renaissance. While other regions are clearly not in that period. Having studied history I know that some cultures that are fairly similar will distinguish themselves through fashion. So, the fashion part is my (grey league) addition.
Good video.
Really great, waiting for the next one !
Thank the Gids, for your channel!!!
Thank you for the nice comment. I am not producing often but more is to come. Next week a gazetteer about the hold of the sea princes.
Great video as always. You have really done your homework. I am waiting with bated breath for the next video.
I was having a pretty bad day but this really brightened it up
Happy to have been of help Dalek. I know Dr who can be a nuisance 😉. Thank you for the encouragement though and will try to get the Suel out in a few weeks for you.
Amazing depth and great detail once again. One would wish to live in the world you so colourfully describe.
Thanks for the mention also!
Looking forward to another vid! No doubt they take a lot of time, but I'm impatient anyway :)
