- Carolyn Leonhart, LaTanya Hall and Catherine Russell have a long bond as a trio of singers. They worked most intimately as a backup trio to Steely Dan. Since then they continue to find ways to work together and explore their native music, Jazz.

Les "Steely Dames". ;^) ♪ One of the best live performance I've heard in a long time.♪ Thank you. just Fantastic ;^) ♪
My Steely Dan love affair brought me here. Glad I came.
What a delight! Just lying there on the dock of a lazy river and enjoying the sunshine of Leonard, Hall and Russell and their heavenly harmonies. And, of course, the pleasure of the music of the first half of the 20th century!
Thank you, I´m so happy to finally see more of Carolyn Leonheart
Why?
Great song selection, great harmonies, great band. They should perform live as often as possible!
When it comes to love, it's often said that 1+1=3. Well, ladies, I like your individual voices but the alchemy of the three of you singing together definitely proves that 1+1+1 equals so much more than 3 - unless it simply equals 1 in your case?! The choices of harmony notes are just perfect, I love how your three voices are subtly intertwined, it sounds unusual because it doesn't resort to the good old "3rd & 5th" paradigm and nonetheless it sounds so smooth, delicate and intimate! A vocal arrangement masterclass.
The three ladies are fantastic. And clearly all very smart. But take nothing away from the backing trio. Absolutely excellent. I just loved the performance of "how high the moon"..
Maxine is my favorite song of Donald’s. Beautiful. Always wanted to hear a version like this
Thanks

What's the name of the first song?
I remember hearing the term “blesh” - to blend and mesh, somewhere. This is so sweet and smooth. Very nice. T. Ferris
When she started to swing in exactly like you, every hair on my body stood right up.
Are you serious? She is a backup singer, known because of Steely Dan basically. An ok singer, but no jazz singer. Listen to this ua-cam.com/video/cGiUC2zz8S8/v-deo.html Cleo Laine, who is one of the finest white singers of Jazz.
My hat is abandoned af...
There is a reason they are back up singers. Not taking away from their ability but close your eyes during the solo's to hear what I mean.
