Lots of great features on this, and no doubt reliability will be second to none. Price and peak performance/insane factor is usually where Honda faulters though.
I just bought a 2023 and its awesome. My rzr felt cheap and trashy compared to the talon. On paper the talon looks like its slow but it is not. My buddy who owns a can am x3 was surprised when i was able to keep on the trails.
It's definitely not the best riding, nor is it a beast. Give it about 200 miles, the gas leaks out of the rear shocks, paint will peel, you will find missing and or loose hardware. It rattles. You are right that is has plenty of power.
@kiddt1999 cause I was washing it with a garden hose and paint peeled off. It was 1 month old, 125 miles. At 200 miles or so, the shock starts banging. I'm informed that this is due to the nitrogen leaking out and they all do it, so now it either get them refilled and leak again or get the shrader valves put in so they don't leak.
@kiddt1999 I almost forgot how terrible the Tallon is at climbing sand hills. The I-4WD uses a wheel speed sensor to detect wheel slip. While in I-4WD climbing a sand hill, the 4WD sends power from the left to the right tire rapidly back and forth, which causes chatter. It might be fine, but it sounds a feels bad.
The unfortunate truth…. Doing pretty decent though for being brand new machines. Polaris and can am have been honing their machines for years. The talon is decent for what it is. But being Honda, they won’t come close to a RZR or an x3. Or even a KRX for that matter
Honda needs to hire a fab shop that builds baja 1000 cars to design something that will actually compete with or surpass Polaris and Can-Am R models. This is just not enough…

Yeah everyone uses the “might as well buy a jeep” card but to handle high speed terrain and whoops like the talon can you’d have to dish out a lot more than $25k into a jeep.

@@channelnamehere4065 sorry what do you mean? They have been in large displacement segment for almost 5 years. Or are you referring to the 4 seater class? Or turbo engines? Talons by far the best model out for side by side at the moment. Belts are guaranteed to go out and the shrapnel gets into the clutches. Honda models hit 10k with minor problems like cv axles and tie rods as any would have that problem. But you won't be dumping money into the Honda like the other brands. They all have about the same speeds and specs. So even with the extra hp coming from other models your not getting anything out of it. The Honda has 105 HP at 1400 pounds. Great power to weight ratio especially being naturally aspirated
