The big problem with Sims 4 is that it is built too much on family friendliness. You just notice at every turn that the developers don't have the guts to be edgy. Regarding Sims 4, I have often heard the term "Safespace". On the one hand, this is a good thing, but in my opinion it sometimes hinders creativity. Another point that increasingly annoys me is that nowadays every group of society wants to be represented in The Sims. In my opinion, the developers cannot do justice to this at all.
Exactly, it's not possible for every group to be represented in the game. And even when you try to add certain groups or cultures, there's still complaints from people that it's not accurate or it's not enough. So EA and the Sims 4 team will unfortunately never satisfy people when it comes representation or culture in the game. Besides, the game would be extremely expensive if they attempted to add every single culture or group. To think, EA is going to add all these cultures or group representations for free is delusional, unrealistic, and not profitable from a business standpoint.
I agree with you on this. I miss how the Sims used to be more edgy than it is now. Plus, it seems like we have to use mods for a lot of things that EA should have included in game. It's far too vanilla without modding up the game.
Honestly they should stick to what the first sims intended to be; a mock on suburban American life, not on every culture / group. I don't mind it but we've never had christian holidays / things in game but in sims 4 we get a hijab which is an affront to woman's rights IMO. I'm not even American but I don't care if my culture get repped, and it wont cuz its a boring white country (UK) lol. The trans was the last straw for me, the woeness personified. Who's making a male sim to get preggers, or whatnot and surely if these people were so bodily dysmorphic it seems as though a sims game would tip them over the edge as opposed to help them? Anyway the game is a borefest now, I can play sims 3 for hours and hours but with 4 I just wanna poke my eyes out with a spoon.
it’s disappointing because i feel like there are such simple fixes. like you can add an 18+ warning for more nsfw gameplay and require birthdays for sign in/purchase of the game. until the player is over 18 they just don’t have access to certain features.
Well I mean…even if you can’t realistically include every group or culture, it’s still worth the talking about, because who has the right to say when the game is “inclusive enough”? We can still give validity to those that may feel left out. And we can do it all while having a transparent conversation around what is technologically possible and what isn’t. I feel like this take is subtly accusing those of us that care about inclusion of “asking too much” to the point of being unreasonable, and I really don’t think that’s the case. I do miss a bit of edginess, or even more misfortune and drama built into the game. I can get what I need from mods, but it’s a shame it didn’t get built in.
It would be neat if EA could do a bed & breakfast game pack or something. Sims can turn their homes into a B&B as long as you have one extra room (and maybe a max of 3-5 guests at a time) and Sims could come and stay for a few days. Your Sims can have a couple tasks that they have to do for the guests and then their reputation/rating goes up based on the quality of the stay. It could be a more low-level, actually attainable for EA version of a hotel pack Edit: I commented this before finishing the video and realized you mentioned this concept in the video lmao
But you know none of it would actually work. Everyone would go to the tourist site then stand around, walk through each other until the day ends, no activities complete all while dressed in their pj's.
Thank you for looking at the hotel concept realistically. The sims community get their hopes way to high. I totally agree about cross pack compatibility. They should focus on that, probably solve some of the bug and lag issues if they did.
Hi, brazilian simmer here. So, about the cultural issues, it's just that we're tired of being seen as the playground for north-americans and europeans, you know? I think this resonates with most countries out of that group. Selvadorada is nice and I'm very proud of Brazil's touristic traits (I know Selvadorada is not inspired by Brazil, specifically, it's just the game reference that we have), but if we could have a world to just live in and play like the other north-american/european based ones, maybe having a traveling destination for tourism wouldn't be a problem.
I was so happy when I saw the south american influences in Jungle Adventure lmao, I thought "This looks like my grannies kitchen", people can't see inspiration without chanting appropiation
a hotel pack would be amazing, but like you said all the key features in going to a hotel/resort are locked behind multiple packs 😭. At this point they should just give us generations and then release the sims 5. the sims 4 can’t be saved.
If a hotel expansion ever came out, I hope they add gameplay mechanics that make traveling between worlds more immersive. As things are you just immediately teleport across the world it sort of ruins immersion. I’d love if they added an airport, maybe even world specific events or festivals?
I think a good world for the hotel pack(if we ever get one) would be a world based off of Santorini, Greece just because of how iconic the architecture is and the beaches and such
the thing is, the only thing i need is the ability to purchase a second home lot and set that as a vacation/rental property, with a dine out style level system. thats all i need. this could be implemented quite easily into a get to work refresh or even a stuff pack ala tiny living
I feel like the representation issue could be solved in TS5 with a world creation tool, a world management tool, and a/or couple of truly blank worlds. If players had the option to create clothing collections or even CAS traits and body features collections and then assign those to new worlds so that new sims would be generated to wear clothes and have features from those collections, then players could pretty easily represent a world of their choosing in the way that appeals most to them. For example, one person could have a world full of blue-skinned aliens in futuristic clothes while another person could have a world full of heavy-browed, thick-set Neanderthals in animal print clothes. Instead of specific town surrounds that give the illusion of other houses and buildings just out of reach, the sims could offer more generic terrain surrounds. The game could ship with a few basic terrain types and add on as more packs come out. Terrain types might be things like forest, grassland, desert, mountain, snow, etc. That way, the sims team wouldn't have to take the pressure of trying to be all things to all people. Perhaps certain festivals, holidays, or events could also be assigned. This would never work in TS4, when even if you tell wedding guests to wear formal clothes in the color red, half of them show up in PJs. But, honestly, giving players the ability to sort assets into collections and then assign those collections to worlds (and to add assets, like trees, etc.) to those worlds would make increased customization possible. To be clear, I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting representation in TS4. I actually really like it when The Sims branch out and offer a taste of different cultures in their worlds. I liked Snowy Escape, Jungle Adventure, and Island Living. I think TS4's cartoony style is cute and I don't really expect it to be a robust or accurate reflection of a culture. I expect it to be a silly, shallow, cartoony one. I mean, even if the base game is sort of generically "American" (which, ahem, is absolutely FINE for a game that originated in the US and is still largely developed there), it's still a watered down, silly, cartoony version of America or "The West" more generally. I'd love to see TS4 tackle at least a few more cultures in their silly, cartoony style. Wouldn't an Indian world be cool, for example? We could get some stunning architectural and clothing assets. What about a snowy Scandinavian word with reindeer? What about an African savannah world, with cool wildlife (safari adventure pack, anyone)? City Living is my favorite pack. It's sort of a generic, multi-cultural city with elements from cities all over the world. What if TS4 did another big city pack in the style of a real-world big city like Tokyo, Seoul, Mexico City, or Mumbai? I, for one, am completely willing to let TS4 keep adding new worlds in their signature silly style.
Oo and you could go like looking for wildlife and sims from the Snowy escape world forgot the name, but they'd be more prone to overheat and sims from Oasis Springs would be okay, and instead of finding rats in your house you could find like a lizard or something and you wouldn't be able to place a hamster in the world.
They cop out with airbnb, which your sims can't own property to make income. That would be best with the rentals. I'm hoping they implement that and yes Hotels/Resort please we need it.
Its not shagalouf, its Magaluf, on Mallorca. Im from Mallorca and i think its really funny to see how british people called this places. Love your content and I learn a lot of english with it.
I think it would be interesting to have a “tourist” world. A Spain based world would be cool. There’s a lot of great architecture there that could add something interesting to the sims
Or maybe like a lake area that relies on tourism? We have multiple ocean worlds already, and a bunch of ponds, but nothing that’s really lake life. Canoes and fishing boats and bed and breakfasts and stone beaches and hiking and festivals… bonus points for wineries… when combined with seasons, the npc tourists overrun the place in summertime but disappear in winter.
Spain would be a good tourist world, imagine being able to go to Madrid, Galicia, Cataluña, País Vasco, Canary Islands... Each one has a different culture, language, traditions and it would be cool to explore that idea of "same country but not the same stuff everywhere"
I just wish they remove the holiday-only restrictions for worlds and let them all be liveable AND touristy... But the last thing you said about the disjointed packs makes sense. If they were to introduce hotels I think it would be maybe better through an update where you could make apartments and hotel rooms in any building you make. But then there wouldn't be all those amazing features you listed. Like everything else - what a mess! P.s. I do like your alternative suggestions!
Legit- World Adventures was my favorite expansion for Sims 3. I LOVED playing tomb raiding, running from mummy’s, doing the adventures in France and wine making- ugh that was such a good expansion….
It would be amazing to get a fully working retail system and the game would offer so much more fun. Open for Business was amazing for sims 2 and offered a lot to play around with, they even had own able community lots with a ticket machine so you could make money that way. GTW offers little like OFB but they could implement that, I doubt they ever will though as EA would rather milk it dry than go over and fix stuff. I dont know why anyone even get there hope up EA will go back and fix what they messed up, but hey they might suprise me one day.
Thank you for being open about the wokeness problems. I brought this up in some sims thread once and was attacked and eventually ban for saying EA and maxis needs to stop being so woke and forcing things onto players that don't want this stuff. I look back at Sims 2 and it bothers me to know they would never apply some of those features because a select few people would complain.
Yes, it’s sadly a big problem I also see and it’s hard to talk about. I think it’s important to be open for criticism and admit, when you crossed a line. But you can’t please everyone and sometimes you have to stick to your decisions and explain them. I think it would benefit the Sims team when they would get some distance to the playerbase OR they allow the player individually to turn off questionable decisions.
How about a globetrotter aspiration? Wanting to visit every world and do different activities in every world. Like the challenge... And I would love to run my own B&B.
I'm only half way through this video and I was originally not to keen on the idea of hotels but listening to this so far makes me REALLY want it implemented cause if you have expansion packs you can do one in each world with different themes like i think snowy escape would work brilliantly with a hotel pack
I was actually saying this before that I would love to be able to make a hotel. It wouldn't be that hard if they can make apartments work. Basically just make it so that each room is its own parcel or something like that.
Hmm, I love the idea of Lily inviting her vampire cousins over for Harvestfest or Winterfest or something, and them staying in a kinda cheap motel (since the Collective Cabin is a li'l too crowded.) And, they being vampires and all, are just like...ugh, this place. (I could totally see Caleb wiping his finger on some surface and tsk-tsking at dust.) And let's be real. We need a place for non-San Myshuno Sims to stay during Geekcon and whatnot.
Hey Satch! I love your videos you are super funny, always making me smile and I really enjoy your The Sims 4 content - It is hilarious. Love you and greetings from Poland! ❤️
I'm glad this video exists because it explains exactly why I don't want a hotel pack. I don't want the team to spend their time (and EA to take our money) on a pack that is doomed from the start to not work well because of the foundation of how the sims 4 works.
As someone who has played the sims 1, 2 and 3, im soooo happy i just now decided to give the sims 4 a real chance. There is no way i would have survived without all the patch updates and extras the newer expansion packs came with.
I think that will be really fun to play in a hotel and own one, and don't we already have a Entertainer Career, i think this will be really fun to book a room in a fancy hotel and seeing the Goths and the Landgraabs walking around in a hotel and vibing in a Casino 😂❤😊
I agree with you that marginally SIMS4 now cannot be considered as strong a force as the original versions. You realize that just by playing. I’ve been playing SIMS4 for not that long and I wish I still had my original PS console, I was excited to get all the packs and when I found the UA-cam community I was blown away by all the problems this game possessed. And playing myself I concur. I honestly think they should re-ensemble the entire SIMS4 and make good on their promises to keep the SIMS franchise intact. Feels like their taking a great legacy and turning it to pot! So disappointing….but I thank you for you honest advise/answers/and over all views, it’s refreshing and helpful. Take care with your chest infection get well soon Darl ❤
Omg, I've been crying for an african destination world. Inagine introducing african fabrics! Foods! But theyd have to pick weather west, east, south, central or north cos they are all VASTLT different
lets be real. if such pack could come up... EA would find a way to bug it and probably would mess with the rest of the rentails. My game didnt recover from Highschool years... i still have lots in worlds that my sims do not eat or drink!
I already run a hotel using drgluons rules and its so much fun, the sims team will release something that doesn't work and infuriates people. I love my little b&b!
I thought the sims team actually announced the pack and you were reviewing the trailer of something. How did you make the icon and title in the thumbnail so damn realistic? 😳
Omg you literally read my mind, I was thinking about this today cuz I was thinking about sims 2 on Nintendo DS and how the hotel was on there, this could acc be SO good for sims 4 💚
Not really related to the video at hand, but I really hope that someday Satch puts on bright green lipstick or something but keeps the "im not wearing lipstick my lips just naturally look like this" bit in the description
I think a hotels pack would be kinda like apartments in city living. I imagine a few different buildings with different amenities. The floor level having a pool. Then depending on hotel type it has different types of rooms and the high end hotel would have mega rooms and also have a bar or maybe something to do with Vegas gambling???.
I remember that I LOVED hotels in TS3 but I think I got to play with it once, maybe twice. By the time that Island Paradise was released the game was so laggy it was pretty much unplayable for any computer no matter what speccs (mine cost about 800 dollars in 2014 so i'd say it was above average). I had almost all packs in TS3, some cc in CAS/BB but no mods and it my game was playable for 20-30 seconds at a time and then frozen for 1-2 minutes. It was like the game got alzheimer and slowly faded away. Because of this, I haven't bought a pack in TS4 since Cottage Living and it's sad given how much joy I have gotten out of TS4 (despite the infinite bugs since, thankfully, many can be fixed with mods).
I got a $450 laptop in around 2011 and I was surprised how well it ran on that machine, never an issue bar the odd freeze. My 3 year old $2,000 gaming PC only runs it about the same not really any better.
I totally love your videos and agree with everything you have to say, however, In Sims 2 there was actually a pack called “open for business” where restaurants were introduced. No other pack had any restaurant experiences. Even in hotels in the sims 2, there weren’t any restaurants. However, you could create a restaurant in the vacation world. But I do agree that hotels should be implemented in the sims 4 more, it’s a great idea! They would just have to fix a lot of the other packs first in my opinion before that’s even thought about. Like you said in the past, dine out and my wedding stories don’t even work. I’m sorry for the rambling haha I just love your videos so much!!❤️
A hotel pack would be nice, but i really think there needs to be a night club pack. ik we have city living, but im talking about a neon world, with way more bar items and club couches, pool tables etc. they could do so much with it.
Honestly, I think the EA Sims 4 team could do very well by watching this video. Such good idea suggestions AND very very very valid critisms of the game itself as well as vs other sims games.
Cars would help. Home business would help. Normal garage sales would help. Sims doing what they’re told to do would help. Normal lashes would help. Hairs not attached to backs would help.
I was one of the ones who said no to your question you posted. I sort of wish you would have presented these valid points and made room for the discussion prior to the question. I’ve never really played any of the other sims games before and just didn’t see the potential. 1:23 Is it something I think we need... eh no but I think anything that can make the game better and more gameplay is something we all can want. I value your opinion so if you stand for hotels. I can be supportive and on board. I can see the potential now.
I don't know if you read the comments on your videos, Satch. But if you do, instead of hotels, I think a Casino pack would be a great idea with the new world based on Las Vegas. Gambling would be fun. Slot machines, card games... especially seeing Simoleans come and go like money in read life. If you read your comments, let me know what you think. This could be a video idea if you're looking for one.
I love the idea of the cruise ship "world" .... and likewise that could be done with a motel/hotel "world" although it wouldn't let us build on other worlds which would be a shame.
You are right on so many points, but you know what I think would be interesting, having a hotel/casino like the one in the Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Where they can bring back robbers and other criminal activity and this is where they hang out. Well, at least it isn't American. Please!! I am not caring about a Karen trait.
As in movies, why can't they just come out with a vanilla version for age friendly and then a version for adults.. NOT X RATED, but you know.. like the original sims 1-3 games which were/are all of the elements that made the sims franchise so successful from the start!?!? Oh, wait, they can't. That current team seems to be incapable due to lack of talent, effort, pride...idk, you pick the reason.
The only thing that could save TS4 is for EA and players to let its rotten corpse lay to rest 6 ft under. It was slowly dead since the beginning and it tried to make some efforts with its dying breath but nah, it needs to be brunt to avoid contamination. 😷
I had a sinus infection that turned into a chest infection last week. Oregano oil in hot water is key here!! Read up on some medical research about oregano and the respiratory system if you must. But absolutely buy some oregano oil!!
i think hotels give the opportunity for much more cultural difference with maybe a few worlds , like world adventures or bon voyage, obviously that's not going to happen they can barely bring one decent world with a pack, but i'd like new worlds that are a different culture that we don't already have in the game Tartosa is what i use as a fake spain marbs thing already, there are tons of american worlds with the same two trees and colourscheme I don't want it to be perfect copy of a real country but i'd love it to feel like a completely different world im just hoping the sims 5 is so much better
I'd love a hotel pack, especially with how many places in the world they could implement - snowy escape as an example being japanese themed they could do a Japanese capsule hotel, I worry if they did do a hotel theyd give us a broken, lackluster basic hotel that looks bland and kinda empty *high school years*
To be fair, we do have a bit of a Karen trait, and it's the one that came with Spa Day, High Maintenance. Sims with that trait flip out over little things and the trait suggests that these sims want to be pampered at spas when they're not at their best... but they can _still_ get random bad moodlets from things even when they're at the spa. lol I wonder if other traits could be combined with High Maintenance to make something closer to a Karen such as Self-absorbed and Hot-headed.

I think it would be great if it came with modern decor and also that 70s seedy motel decor lol
Two great lots for this are the retro reboot hotel, on TSR. And "Big Willie's Halfway Inn" by me_missloner on the gallery. I LOVE these two builds
It would be an amazing opportunity for them to finally put the vibrating heart bed and heart jacuzzi

But then there wouldn't be all those amazing features you listed. Like everything else - what a mess! P.s. I do like your alternative suggestions!
And of course, I get a sims 4 ad (which I’ve never gotten on yt) at the start of this video- in French too
If I am not mistaken vacation rentals in all worlds became available with an update leading up to Snowy Escape.
Legit- World Adventures was my favorite expansion for Sims 3. I LOVED playing tomb raiding, running from mummy’s, doing the adventures in France and wine making- ugh that was such a good expansion….
I love the idea of a get to work refresh, they should do it! Shall we peer pressure them into it lol
Couldn’t have said it better! Hope EA can make this happen or at the very least some modders get to work lol
What did EA do that is so woke?
@@maxi530 I guess add a skin color and pronoun update? Otherwise I have no idea what people are talking about other than hating other simmers.
@@joyfulgirl91 i am too confused
I stan with this idea! I've been dying for a casino pack for ages to bring more realism to game and that alone brings lots of traits and careers!
How about a globetrotter aspiration? Wanting to visit every world and do different activities in every world. Like the challenge...
And I would love to run my own B&B.
I doubt they’ll ever release an aspiration that requires multiple packs….
Oo and if we could build and own our own hotels than it'd be great.
I manage a small hotel in a very touristy area and I’ve often thought about how much fun gameplay could be implemented in a hotel themed pack.
Great presentation, Satch!! EA should pay attention to your PowerPoint which was very powerful, and your video was equally a bright spot in my day.
Hmm, I love the idea of Lily inviting her vampire cousins over for Harvestfest or Winterfest or something, and them staying in a kinda cheap motel (since the Collective Cabin is a li'l too crowded.) And, they being vampires and all, are just like...ugh, this place. (I could totally see Caleb wiping his finger on some surface and tsk-tsking at dust.)
And let's be real. We need a place for non-San Myshuno Sims to stay during Geekcon and whatnot.
Hey Satch! I love your videos you are super funny, always making me smile and I really enjoy your The Sims 4 content - It is hilarious. Love you and greetings from Poland! ❤️
i would love an spanish inspired pack
I'm glad this video exists because it explains exactly why I don't want a hotel pack. I don't want the team to spend their time (and EA to take our money) on a pack that is doomed from the start to not work well because of the foundation of how the sims 4 works.
Clicked so fast. 🤣🤣🤣
As someone who has played the sims 1, 2 and 3, im soooo happy i just now decided to give the sims 4 a real chance. There is no way i would have survived without all the patch updates and extras the newer expansion packs came with.
Hotels with room service
They can do a safari lodge hotel amd then get an african world
Omg, I've been crying for an african destination world. Inagine introducing african fabrics! Foods! But theyd have to pick weather west, east, south, central or north cos they are all VASTLT different
We already have a Entertainer career (base game career with the oaths „comedian“ and „musician“), we also already have night clubs
We do need a hotel pack!!!
Honestly the sims 4 is just a bland game. It's empty and shallow and highly overpriced and no pack or kit can fix that
I agree that's why I went back to the sims 3
I NEEEEED a hotel pack!!! it would be SOOOO DOPE!
I really hope sims 5 can be a happy medium
lets be real. if such pack could come up...
We need more Eastern European worlds/culture in The Sims 4!
And southern african worlds we don't even have a single african world.
@@animalcrossingnerd8142 Yess, we need them too!
I thought the sims team actually announced the pack and you were reviewing the trailer of something. How did you make the icon and title in the thumbnail so damn realistic? 😳
LITERALLY!!! 👏🏽😭💯
Omg you literally read my mind, I was thinking about this today cuz I was thinking about sims 2 on Nintendo DS and how the hotel was on there, this could acc be SO good for sims 4 💚
I absolutely love this style video
Not really related to the video at hand, but I really hope that someday Satch puts on bright green lipstick or something but keeps the "im not wearing lipstick my lips just naturally look like this" bit in the description
I would like to have apartments (or flats) where 1 sim owns the lot, while other sims rent units from your sim.
We all know already it wouldn’t work properly but it’s nice to hope lol
Pause at 06:00 and play

My 3 year old $2,000 gaming PC only runs it about the same not really any better.
i feel like half the things expected to be in the pack will be missing and then they'll introduce those things in another pack lmao
Imagine if you could play it with Paranormal stuff and create a haunted hotel.
Cars would help. Home business would help. Normal garage sales would help. Sims doing what they’re told to do would help. Normal lashes would help. Hairs not attached to backs would help.
you're looking great!! please do share your secrets.
Think if they did Mykonos for this world...like that would be AWESOME
They should allow us to run an air bnb utilising the current rental system.
Dear Satch, I think we both know nothing will ever save the Sims 4
As in movies, why can't they just come out with a vanilla version for age friendly and then a version for adults.. NOT X RATED, but you know.. like the original sims 1-3 games which were/are all of the elements that made the sims franchise so successful from the start!?!?
Oh, wait, they can't. That current team seems to be incapable due to lack of talent, effort, pride...idk, you pick the reason.
They could do the same they did with my first pet stuff. Be like you have to own this and that pack for the full experience.
Sims 4 Benidorm living 😂 Would love my sims to race mobility scooters down the main strip.
The only thing that could save TS4 is for EA and players to let its rotten corpse lay to rest 6 ft under. It was slowly dead since the beginning and it tried to make some efforts with its dying breath but nah, it needs to be brunt to avoid contamination. 😷
even if ea would do something like this it would be divided into 2 expansion packs, 4 game packs and 6 kits
Yessss I agree 100% with you!
I’m here for Vegas or a cruise. That sounds soooo fun.
I had a sinus infection that turned into a chest infection last week. Oregano oil in hot water is key here!! Read up on some medical research about oregano and the respiratory system if you must. But absolutely buy some oregano oil!!
i think hotels give the opportunity for much more cultural difference with maybe a few worlds , like world adventures or bon voyage, obviously that's not going to happen they can barely bring one decent world with a pack, but i'd like new worlds that are a different culture that we don't already have in the game
Tartosa is what i use as a fake spain marbs thing already,
there are tons of american worlds with the same two trees and colourscheme
I don't want it to be perfect copy of a real country but i'd love it to feel like a completely different world
im just hoping the sims 5 is so much better
If they brought out this pack I would recreate the white lotus cast of season 1
Oh this right here! I think we’ve got a winner!!❤
Satch I haven't seen your vids in my recommendations in so long. But I hope you get better!
Omg this would be amazing 👏 😍 😭
I had a chest infection last week and it was awful, I hope you get better soon
I'm honestly 100% sure that Hotels will come someday in TS4. We have way too many touristic destinations to not have hotels.
I'd love a hotel pack, especially with how many places in the world they could implement - snowy escape as an example being japanese themed they could do a Japanese capsule hotel, I worry if they did do a hotel theyd give us a broken, lackluster basic hotel that looks bland and kinda empty *high school years*
It was Snowy Escape not Island Living that brought destination lots to sims 4.
To be fair, we do have a bit of a Karen trait, and it's the one that came with Spa Day, High Maintenance.
Sims with that trait flip out over little things and the trait suggests that these sims want to be pampered at spas when they're not at their best... but they can _still_ get random bad moodlets from things even when they're at the spa. lol
I wonder if other traits could be combined with High Maintenance to make something closer to a Karen such as Self-absorbed and Hot-headed.
I also feel that the gallery culture can be very toxic. Lots of bullies and no actual help from EA.
It was actually snow escape when they introduced rentals in any world, even later than you mentioned :/
Me an American agreeing with you... 🤭
Well I grew up in the Philippines.
