If you need an idea for future videos, I'd like to see videos with specific meta strats for each map. Best routes to attack each cashout. Best positions to defend each cashout. Thoughts on which cashouts to try and capture, etc.
5:30 it has nothing to do with even or odd amount of kills. I think I actually understand what’s going on here.
I think you’re right that getting a kill updates your score, even when it’s adding $0, and also that if two teams have the same money, the team that got to that money first (read: had their money last updated a longer time ago) is placed ahead of the other.
In this clip, notice when you kill an enemy, you actually go DOWN from first place to second. This is because when you kill the first enemy the game adds $0 to your score and now as far as the game’s concerned you just hit $10K, and the other team’s been at $10K, so you get moved down to second.
Then when you kill the second player, your score updates again, but since you’re already in second place, nothing happens.
Then an enemy kills YOUR teammate, now THEY get added $0, updates their score, and they get pushed into second place.
Then you guys wipe the enemy. Your score updates for the kill, putting you in second, then the enemy gets 0% of their cash removed as a team wipe penalty, also updating their score, and putting them back in second.
In the other clip where you got a double kill with the RPG, the only reason the scoreboard updated once is you got a kill, updating your team’s score, and the second kill also only updates your team’s score. Since your team’s score was updated more recently you remain in second place. The enemy team’s score did not update in this scenario
TLDR when you are in first place in the final round, getting a kill will actually put you in second place. If you are in second place, getting a kill will keep you in second place but if a first place team member kills your teammate, you will move to first place.
Overall I think this mechanic makes sense and is good for cashout rounds but in the finals this is pretty finicky.

For quick cash its the first team to get 10k wins. So if you get first cashout you will get second place if another teams gets 20k if you get second cashout you are in 2nd and third cashout is in 3rd
unless they changed this recently, i suggest you look up the phrase “ties” in the finals reddit. Why do you think you’re right in this? Many people have different experiences that do not coincide with your interpretation.
I've gotten a final round where the first vault bugged under the map, so i had a bunch of time to figure out how it works, and you're not quite correct - it's about which team the game thinks got to their money amount second
when a player gets a kill, their team is moved to second place (because it's updating their money received timestamp, even though it doesn't actually give you any in final round)
when a team wipes, that team is put into second (because, again, it's updating the timestamp, this time due to the 30% wipe penalty)
this is also why opening a vault in final round while tied puts you in second
Yea, that's sort of what I was getting at in the video. Getting a kill tells the game to update the scoreboard, hence why the places keep switching. This can also apply to other sources that "update" the scoreboard. I just didn't really push that point home as much as I wanted to.
@@EkaZoko it causes it to update yeah, but it doesn't necessarily swap first and second on every kill, if your team is currently in second and you get a kill you'll stay in second. that's why the double kill rpg didn't swap order twice.
@@Provoxin Not sure what you mean, every time a kill happened it swapped. The double RPG kill was because the kills were on the same frame. No matter who the kill was from or against, the teams swapped places.
If 2 kills happen in the same frame, the game won't swap twice because if it updates on the same frame, it will have the same result (ex. it will determine that X team will have priority twice at X time)
After reading your first comment again, we are basically in agreement with how it works. You say it is what the game thinks who got to that number second. I say in the video that the team that has the number first will stay first in the event of a tie. Which is the same thing (if I understand you correctly). However, you then suggest that I'm not quite right, but never elaborate on what part I didn't get right.

I have not yet finished the video, but the example at 5:50 does not line up with your previous theory? Killing a pink team member while they are in second place should not have changed their placement to first.
My personal theory is that there is an invisible money counter, that tracks things like cashbox opening, even if there is not a visible change. My reason for this is that in quick cash or final round, not just kills but other things will adjust your placement.
I think it does line up with the theory, we had 10k first, but when they got 10k we still were on top. That supports the theory.
But the instance where kills were changing the positions is probably because the game thinks the other team had 10k first. So my theory can be amended a little to: Whoever recently has the same number gets priority.

I assume opening vaults also update the scoreboard since they usually give money

@@ZaidAhmad-rp1ro Assuming your team got the first cashout (you now have 10,000) and the other team got the 2nd cashout (they have 10,000). Your team is on top yes? If anyone updates the scoreboard, it will switch your team spot with the enemies.

No one has tried this in powershift though, there's no placement in powershift
