"Either cocaine or taxi". Lol that's very direct! My experience in other parts of Mexico are more discreet. They would start by offering Tamales, then, weed, to cocaine, when I kept on saying "No gracias". The guy started offering me prostitutes (either male or female). I laughed so hard, but i ended up buying a Tamales. Lol
Haha... I guess, like you said, it comes down to different areas of Mexico. I hope the tamales were great! Lol.

Cancun is expensive compared to the other cities, if you want the good deals it's best to adventure out to the side road vendors or other cities. In my experience at least.

We saw some side street vendors when we took the golf carts out and you are right, much better deals. I guess it's like any place, the tourist traps will always over charge you.
