So glad you had a wonderful time, and that the food was good. To be honest, I was a little disappointed at how western the food looks like now. I lived in Malaysia in 1991, and went native food-wise. There was so much good food to eat that it seemed a waste to eat western food. I was hoping that you would get a chance to eat the local food which is super delicious too, but ah well. The important thing is that you had a good time and the food was tasty.
Kiri Celebkiriedhel I was just in bali, same areas as her, and to be honest (no hate to lauren obvs) there were tons of vegan local cuisine options! I found it super easy to just ask for no egg, or otherwise they had many vegetarian options that were also vegan. I think it just depends on what she was ordering, there were likely options that she just didn’t select 😊 there was a huge selection of both balinese and western food, depending on what you felt like!
i notice in your WIAID videos you hardly ever record yourself actually eating the food... but thats the kinda energy im here for and i miss that ☹️☹️☹️
Okay... Yes.. I love when you do your Lauren in Real Life vids. Love watching what you are eating.. so many ideas and tantalizing your taste buds. LOVED IT.. the dogs, the puppy.. the monkey statue in the very beginning. Yummy foods. You are so chill and down to earth. Nat, Nat...and love your facial expressions. LOVE YOU!
haha! i guess i was in bali the same time as you! i loved canggu! soooo maaaany vegan restaurants! next time, try the earth café for awesome vegan pastry! there's actually also one in ubud.
Wow this is perfect timing for us! We literally JUST bought tickets for Bali and were wondering on vegan foodie spots to check out. So glad you came up on our recommended, you're definitely one of our favorite vegan vloggers :)
I was in Bali and Gili islands for the last month too! Couldn’t believe the number of Western vegan options but I preferred to eat locally at warungs, had the best tempe of my life over there, missing it already
I'm planning a family holiday to Bali at the moment and this video was almost options overload! Hopefully I'll get to try out some of these places because they all look sooo good!
i looove these kind of travel and what i ate vids but i like when you show yourself trying the food on camera! i need to know if it tastes good and is worth the visit :)
Amazing! I'm heading to Bali in a month and this all looks delicious. Just wondering, as I've been told the water isn't safe for drinking, so assumed salad and raw things could be out. How did you know what was safe to eat? I've heard 50% of visitors to Bali get an upset tummy, and I'm keen to not be in that 50%!
yes, getting bali belly is very common. The best advice is to grab some charcoal pills when you get there at the local pharmacy. I think they saved me! I was taking them 3 times a day preventatively and never really had an issue. My friend got sick though and we ate all the same things, so it's hard to say. Don't drink the water or brush your teeth with it. And then in terms of salads etc. I ate them and just took the risk. They shouldn't really be using tap water to wash if it's a decent restaurant. The major flags would be eating anything at a "warung" - the local restaurants will be less sanitary than the more mainstream places BUT of course contamination can happen anywhere.
Thank you so much Lauren! I'm intrigued by the charcoal. Where did you get that from? I'll investigate. So glad you had a great food adventure and stayed well. Sorry to hear about your friend, but hope it didn't last too long 💚😊💚
I have a love-hate relationship with Bali, I love it for all its beautiful nature and so on but boy did I hate how they treat animals there, so so sad 😞
It’s ok to know your limits and respect them! I would never ride a scooter either. I’d rather walk 20 miles. Or better yet, cycling! I’m glad you’re ok!
Lauren, I want to eat....this... video... litterally! OMG!!!!!! I feel spiritual just looking at all of it! Have to go! Thanks for paving the way! I have chef friends who went and sorry, Elias; but those plates did not speak to me like this. But then again; maybe that's what a spiritual journey is for as well! To each and their own! :) Also; speaking of manifesting your life. That ice cream place, manifested!!! Bam!
When you travel to new places, do you ever feel disappointed at the lack of traditional cuisine that is vegan? It seemed a shame that so much of the stuff you guys were eating was the same stuff you'd find in Canada, or really anywhere in the world. Some form of vegan junk food. I remember Bali having such a wide array of beautiful Indonesian cuisine, but I can't remember how vegan friendly it was. Just got the impression that a lot of this food is made available to mainly appeal to foreigners, as I question how affordable it is for locals. I also remember trying so many fruits I'd never heard of before!
marienbad I was there recently and there was tons of balinese food that was vegan! I really enjoyed it...she likely was just ordering other things than the local cuisine 😊
most of our dishes in Indonesia is vegan friendly. we use lots of jackfruits in curry, tempe and tofu are local staples and so many different type of local salads with peanut sauce. too bad this video doesn't really expose the local cuisine.

Probably some meat that has nutrients we need to survive
I LOVE YOU! You should definitely make a "20 things you probably dont know about me" video next!! Xxx
This was freaking dope, thanks Lauren. I appreciate that you show the menu of every place you go to because I pause and decide what I would eat... :D
I always love reading the restaurant names, what you had and your opinion on the food that you write in the description box, thanks for that! 🌞

I'm traveling to Bali this November. Can't wait for all the vegan goodness 😍
Seeing Peloton is vlogs is always kinda funny to me, because in finnish Peloton means "fearless".
Obsessed!!!!! Love you Lauren
Wow, the food looked sooooo good. Why can’t this be the ‘norm’ for everywhere?
I have a love-hate relationship with Bali, I love it for all its beautiful nature and so on but boy did I hate how they treat animals there, so so sad 😞

I’m from Australia, the food is so inexpensive, amazingly presented and of high quality!
I'm clumsy and probably would have fallen too lol
Wow but why is Bali such a vegan oasis
check this hilarious short film "What I ate in 38 years" by Yuri A / R. Mond , he is Swiss @
Sooo , I take it no Harley in your future 😉

How you starved yourself in bali
