Hi Chris. We don’t know each other, but you have become a major part in my life. My father passed a year ago this August 1st. The morning after he passed, this was the first song my mother, sister and I listened to, just trying to make sense of things. I was the first time I cried throughout the entire process, except for when I felt his last breathe. I say all of this in an effort to say… Thank you. I am the strength that usually has to hold everything together in my family, but listening to your voice today has shattered the wall I’ve used to stay strong. I needed this emotional release. Although I’m currently a sobbing mess right now, I can’t thank you enough for unknowingly being there for me. You are a man with a humble heart and a precious gift. I appreciate what you do and how thoroughly you explore your talent. Thank you. If you ever get the chance, the song I chose for his funeral is My Old Man by the Zac Brown Band.
