I just bought the 109 and now prepping it for some trips. Looking forward to more content on custimizations or trips or whatever. I am trying to decide on my awning, either 270 or arb with attached room. Also, at least want to upgrade my battery to lithium 100ah. I think the controller they gave us can be set for that.
I'm very familiar with this area, I usually air down my Jeep tires where you guys first setup at the start of the video, that area is super high traffic so probably not an ideal camp site. Look into the Claymore camp fan, it will last all night and is extremely portable.
100 watt solar should keep your battery topped off, are you leaving the battery disconnect switch on? You might also consider adding a charging wire to your hitch wiring.
I added my own solar to mine and wired it separate of the campers wiring, so when I park it between trips it keeps my battery topped off, I also switched to an AGM 100 amp hr battery, lasts much longer
So I just read the owner’s manual pdf, and the 109 does have aux battery charging via the 7 pin connector, so if you use a 7 pin connector from your vehicle with the aux wire it will charge your battery as you drive, but the disconnect switch should NOT be on. The manufacturer suggests only using the disconnect switch when storing, so that the CO2 monitor doesn’t discharge the battery.
Makes me want to go camping!!
We absolutely love our 109! Done some luttle mods to make it ours, but it is exaclty what we need to tow behind our Bronco.
So far I’m very happy with ours.
We have been looking at the 109 also. Maybe have it by the end of the year 🤞

I plan a battery upgrade soon and we love our 270 awning with walls. Great for privacy and a wind break.

Thanks for the tips!
6:11 Dude was so pissed Ruby slept and he didn’t. lol 😂
Does it have room for two batteries? If so run them in parallel (+ to + and - to -) still 12 volts but doubles your run time.
It has plenty of room, I may try adding an extra battery and do that.

Should you have battery disconnect on or off when not using?

You only need to use the disconnect for storage, when you put it away until next use

Thank you for the information

Love the 109 but how does every one deal with storing clothing items?
