I recently changed to these after years of Pilot Power 2CTs. I must say they are far better on the road. They cope very well with changing surfaces, fluctuating temperatures and varying conditions. I feel much more confident on the road with these than I ever did with Pilot Power 2CTs. They give up a small amount of agility in exchange for stability but they are much more planted and sure footed than any tyres I've used before. The slick edges are awesome in the dry. Extremely impressed. I go faster on the road with these.
I love the aerial shot of the wet skid pad with the motorcycle under hard braking with ABS engagement and how it remains under control and so stable. Looking forward to seeing all the great work you will do in your new studio Adam!
Hi David - I liked that shot sequence too - happy with the way it turned out. It was a combination of the footage I shot and a nice shot provided by the Michelin video team. Yeah, the garage studio is going to be fun - and I'm really looking forward to it. TTYL.
Just put on a set of Road 5s on my GSXR 750 MY15 Fantastic tyres they seem to hold a taller profile than my previous Metzler Racetecs they certainly like you said have a noticeable hard carcass but it actually seems to make the bike predictable at speed very cool indeed I'm running around 37psi in the front and about 40 in the rear
Hey Adam thanks so much for this series It has been by far the best review of this new tire I have seen thus far. I just got an fz09 and I was planning on getting the Michelin power RS however after seeing this series im starting to reconsider. Im a 100% street rider but I live in an area that lets me scrape knee on a daily basis. I hate changing out tires so often do you think this PR5 will still allow me to confidently get low in the turns while giving me more mileage per tire or do you think I should suck it up and sacrifice longevity for superior grip in the dry? I would appreciate your input! Thanks!
Would you pick this Road 5 or a Road Attack 3 for a commuter & weekend warrior? In Seattle cold/wet matters, but sport-street ability also matters. Thanks!
Got them on my CBR600rr and theyre not as sporty as they claim. I find my bike a little bit more sluggish, feels like the grips slowing me down more than the PR4 ever did.
I HAVE A SET ON A 2007 ,DUCATI , ST3 s , AND LOVE THEM , BETTER LINES ,IN AND OUT , AND GREAT IN THE RAIN ! I DON,T THINK YOU CAN FIND BETTER ! AL ROUND TIRE !
How long do they last? Are they comparable to the pirelli angels or q3 plus in terms of millage? I live in the desert and care little about performance when its whet Thanks
Same. I live in the desert and ride HARD. I usually run a hypersport tire on the street but I want something that lasts longer. The new Angel GT II's are looking very good.
It’s a crap tyre they say it lasts 1/1/2 times longer than the 4 ( which is crap ) my four lasted 8000 and the 5 only 4500km ( 3000 miles I think ? ) traction wasn’t that much better and I always run correct tyre pressures . I will now be using Metzler Road Tec 01 and wet weather grip is similar and also the front doesn’t sculp out like the P4 & 5 do . The front P3 was fantastic and so was the P4 rear ( Michelin you have taken a good sports touring tyre and turned it into a sports tyre .

Sport-touring rubber like these R5's have plenty of grip for fast-paced rides. I would choose these over the Power RS tire if it was my whip.
I appreciate the response Adam! Ill be sure to buy them through your link. Keep up the outstanding work with this channel!
Thanks Ben. I appreciate your support and viewership.

Excellent work ,, much appreciated
PR5 vs BattlAx T31 for mileage. How many miles are people getting out of the 2 tires.

Mr Waheed, I think I like your work.👍CLVLND
