Operation Vala Umgodi goes after illegal miners

Operation Vala Umgodi in the North West is intensifying its efforts against illegal miners still operating underground. One miner, who worked at an underground spaza shop, described the situation as unbearable, explaining that the shop has run out of stock and even shop owners are now relying on donated food. Meanwhile, rescue operations are set to resume today. Ziniko Mhlaba reports from Stilfontein.
