Hello PuniPuniJapan! Would you ever consider doing a video about all the various titles in anime for captains and officers and government officials. Some I have come across in Mobile Suit Gundam are 会長, which was translated to Captain, though it says the definition on jisho is Chairman or president. Another is 艦長 - which appears to be captain as well. So just wanted to understand the nuances between the various titles as they are said often throughout anime. Sorry I know its unrelated to the video, but thought I would ask :D
Hello Thanks for the video, i have a question why do we say " Supa e kaimono ni ikmasu" and not " Supa de kaimono ni ikmasu" i buy stuff at supermarket ?
If I am alone (no one else is around me), and I want to talk to myself in the morning, would I say this, instead? シゃワーを浴び。and leave off the ます? Because the ます is formal? And I don't need formal when talking to myself? Or is that incorrect?
the dictionary/plain form is an easy way to use casual language, so: シャワーを浴びる- I (will) take a shower シャワーを浴びている- I'm actively/currently taking a shower シャワーを浴びよう- let's take a shower (volitional form) [doesn't necessarily mean there's a 2nd party present]
