My favorite childhood summer memories were at the Holiday Inn Holidome in Florida in the late 80s/early 90s. That and St Augustine. I often think about those days and how fortunate I am to have experienced the best years there as a kid.
Nearly brings me to tears right now thinking about how good things were then and how much everything has fallen apart in my own life and for the whole country.

Thank you Color Theory! 😎👍 (Was wondering if using this song would summon you again lol.) Been waiting to use “The Fifth of July" for a summer playlist. Thank you for letting me do so, and keep up the great work!
My summer memories as a child all connected to the city where my parents and brother live even to this day in Hungary. During summer my brother and me was always out with the other kids around the neighbours, playing in the meadow behind the row houses, or just generally playing around with the swings, or making up silly games together. During summer we walked out many times to our garden at the edge of the city, to roast some food on open fire, and spend time there with my brother and other kids. My parents also took us to many-many outings when we was little. From the small daily walks through the city, eating an ice cream midway to bigger trips into the forests, hills, old castles. I became way more introverted as I'm closer to 40 now than 30, and have only a select number of friends, but when we have the chance, we go and travel, meet up, do outings, and keep sharing memories even to this day. Whenever I remember my childhood summers, what I think is that how it shaped some things which I like even to this day, like outing, traveling around the world, and generally go out whenever I have the chance. Even though I'm not living at that city anymore, whenever I visit, I like to take long walks to relive some of the old feelings, rather than memories to say.
Nice to see The Video Game Champion get some attention. That's one of my favorite Gunship tunes and I rarely see it aside from my own Spotify list. Maybe it's just because The Midnight is currently playing.....
How did I miss this one?! Thank you again for another summer playlist. It’s always summer of ‘89 for me, in my heart. I’m a skinny 13-year-old kid decked out in denim, the same backwards yellow cap that I’ve had for nearly 35 years now, with my mates, listening to music and just generally hanging out, no worries, my entire life still ahead of me.

We Gen-Xers had the best childhoods, hands down!
