    How many minutes did you keep the product in your hair? I’m used to having deep conditioner in my hair for an hour.

      Like I said in the video, I didn't quite time the process but I'd say 20 - 30 minutes.

    hey so do i use this on days I don’t fully wash my hair? ( shampoo + condition). How many times should i use it in a week?

    • @AfriZiny
      @AfriZiny  4 роки тому

      Hey Fatou, you can use it in the place of a conditioner when you shampoo. The frequency of usage would depend on your hair's needs. A good place to start would be bi-weekly (once in two weeks). In between usage, you can use your regular conditioner. Hope my explanation is clear enough. Let me know if there's anything else you need me to clarify.

    Idk if I did something wrong but I remember I left this in my hair for a little more than an hour because I usually leave the deep conditioner in for awhile and when I washed it out MY HAIR FELT SO DRY AND BRITTLE IT FELT LIKE STRAW!! My hair is not supposed to feel like that😭and my curls weren’t curlin like it used to I said nahh and I’m just scared to use it again👁👄👁it’s just sitting there in my bathroom

    • @AfriZiny
      @AfriZiny  4 роки тому +6

      Hey friend, sorry about the dryness. It's largely because the product contains avocado and you let it sit a little too long in your hair. You can give it another try, this time, just let it sit for about 20 minutes and let me know if your experience is the same as the first time. ❤

    • @naa3018
      @naa3018 4 роки тому +1

      Same here. But I left it in for a short while. The one that didn't have the avocado on it worked perfectly fine

    I wonder if I can mix some oils in this product and use under a steamer for a thorough deep conditioning experience....

      The product works fine by itself but, if you feel the need to throw in some oils, why not!

      Hey Mero, any sulfate-free shampoo should work just fine. Some of my favorites are the Creme of Nature Sulfate free shampoo, Kaleidoscope Therapeutic shampoo, Kinky Nigerian Curls Black soap shampoo.

    Hello Ezinne, great video. Quick q, what damage does silicon do to the hair and after using this deep conditioner, is it ok to use a clarifying shampoo because of the silicon? I just got this and didn't know it contained silicon. Thank you.

    • @AfriZiny
      @AfriZiny  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you, Olusola. Silicones generally just create a protective layer over the hair shaft so, they're not bad for the hair because the layers of protection can help your hair withstand the harsh elements of the weather, as well as retain moisture within the hair. The only downside to it is that the layer can leave your hair with buildup but, a proper shampoo job should take care of whatever buildup. And yes, a clarifying shampoo works but it may leave your strands stripped of moisture. I suggest you opt for a moisturising shampoo instead.

      @@AfriZiny do you think a sulfate free shampoo like the Shea moisture ones will be good enough to wash out the silicones?

    • @ft7037
      @ft7037 3 роки тому +3

      @@PurpleEpicness333 Yes! Silicones get a bad rep but you can wash them out with sulfate-free shampoos, as long as they have cocamidopropyl betaine. This ingredient even washes out hair grease. I use both silicones and grease in my hair and my hair stays moisturized and as smooth as medium/high porosity 4c can be. It helped to grow my hair to midback length. Just make sure to clarify once in a while, for me that's about every 4 wash day.
