Hi Em & Dan. Welcome to Aus! Glad you have been enjoying your travels so far…I’ve been enjoying watching them! This is our 3rd La Nina year in a row, so much more rain than normal. On the Qld east coast we usually we have most of our rain in the summer & winters are mainly mild & sunny. Good luck for the rest of your adventures. Cheers! 🌺
So glad you are enjoying your jaunt around OZ. If you get back to Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast you really should try to go into the hinterlands of each...the glow worm cave is just awesome! Cheers!
We really wanted to do this! Our friends recommended it to us and said it was amazing, unfortunately we struggled with transport so couldn’t go but it’s definitely on our must do list 😁
G'day guys , great video sorry about the rain , if i can make a suggestion. i think you should reach out to fellow youtubers The BAM Famalam they moved from England to live on the sunshine coast about 6 years ago i think , they have many videos and tips about moving and living here , i look forward to your next video :)
Hi Jon, thanks so much - that’s a great suggestion 😁 we watched some of theirs (plus other English families videos) before moving here and found their videos very interesting & useful! We’ll definitely reach out if we settle in Sunshine Coast for any tips & advice😊
@@OurAusAdventureI am sure you will find the perfect place to settle down there are a lot to choose from, i was born and raised in Queensland so i am biased lol , I wish you two all the best and hope you enjoy your time here , it is bad luck about all the rain ,this winter has been the wettest in decades ☔ oh BTW the bats you saw were Flying Foxes they normally congregate in colonies of up to ten thousand or more , sometimes you can see them flying just on dusk going to their feeding grounds mostly fruit trees its an amazing sight , thousand of of Flying Foxes flying overhead . 😃
@@Jon-cb3xy That is one thing we can’t get over - how big Australia is! Such an amazing and beautiful Country, spoilt for choice on where to settle! The fact that everything is still so beautiful when wet makes us love it even more but we are looking forward to less wet days (had more than enough of them in the UK😂) Wow that is so cool r.e flying foxes! We couldn’t believe how many of them there were!!
I found Australian Zoo too comercial myself. If you realy wanted to see animals in the "wild" you will have to go to Dubbo zoo. Dry? I think every east coast resident and their dog is over this ran and subsiquent multiple floods. So much seen, and you have only scratched the surface. Wait untill you go inland and travel through some of the deserts.
We wish we had the time to see more, but we only have 2 months before we need to settle down so have been hitting all the potential settling locations which means unfortunately we won’t be going to any further out locations this time around.. I’m sure we will in the future though, as we’re really keen to travel more, so much to see 😁

Dags already, fitting right in. Nice intro add.
We had to google what dags means, haven’t heard that word before haha! & thank you for noticing the intro change😁
Melbourne is nice but it can get bitterly cold down there and it can rain like you've never seen so make sure you have your winter woolies with you.
It was a bit cold and a bit wet, but not too bad luckily - reminded us of the UK weather!
