Aww congratulations guys on your recent move to the Gold Coast, 🎉 😎 what a beautiful location to be based, and having the bonus of the beach nearby is a big plus! Really enjoyed this introduction to life in Australia, and thanks for being so honest and open about prices etc. Always love your vlogs, and looking forward to seeing more of your journeys and adventures in and around that area. ❤ Enjoy 🤩

Welcome back to Aussie Char & Corey. Living on the Coast a good choice. I live in Brisbane & my daughter lives in Kirra & when I pop down it’s like I get a mini vacation, and yes parking is a bit of an issue. Any way looking forward to all your awesome content as usual. And I just want to say there was spectacular drone video in this vlog - when Char was walking across a bridge & the drone was panning back along the river / surrounded by lush greenery ( good work Corey!) Well all your Drone videos are great but that one just stood out in this video.
Thanks Lisa ☺️🙏🏼❤️ that footage was actually up in the Sunshine Coast from years ago! I think it was in the middle of Buderim Forest Park… 🤔 glad you enjoyed it though! Hoping to capture even more amazing shots like that as we explore the region!
Welcome to the Gold Coast! I moved here 5 years ago and absolutely love it. For all the reasons you mentioned but also there’s a real sense of possibility, optimism and opportunity here as the Gold Coast grows rapidly and its economy diversifies.
I’m glad I found your video. I’m thinking of moving from Tampa, Florida to Gold Coast. The US just isn’t really feeling like a great place to live anymore.
Thanks for watching! We are going to be producing a lot more content which will be really helpful for you if you’re thinking of moving here. But if you want to get a feel for the country as a whole, check out our Australia playlist as well as our Big Lap playlist where we drove around the whole country!

Brissy GIRL here 👋👋 Brisbane to Noosa is about 2 hours drive, Gold Coast to Brisbane is generally an hour provided traffic isn’t crazy. Unfortunately the M1 needs another upgrade. Welcome to Australia guys. Also, wait till schoolies and Summer hits and then right up till school returns late January. It will get worse.
I am so happy for both of you . I am glad you are not living in Surface Paradise. Palm beach in Queensland is nice . I love the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast Hinterland . I like Burley Heads too ! You both are part of Australia and part of us now ! Congratulations!
We are Aussie who live in Victoria. We have got good income and love where we live for now but we still plan to move to our lovely house in Gold Coast in the future.
I'm in UK , work as a Registered Nurse , I have Australian Permanent Residency and had planned for years to move to Brisbane but seeing how busy and expensive it has become I've decided move inland a bit to Toowoomba, beach fww hrs drive but thats fine as it will allow me to afford a house when i arrive in 4 months.
Toowoomba is a cool place. Promise me that you’ll get involved with the local community there 🙏🏼 there’s some really cool creatives and coffee shops out there. And quite a few hospitals actually! So you’ll probably find work easy 😊 hopefully after living there for a bit you can experience life on the coast! Maybe rent a place in the GC for a year and see what you think. Definitely recommend south Gold Coast though! 😊 wishing you all the best for your move ❤️
Welcome to the Gold Coast. I know you will love it even if it is getting so popular. I'm a Brisbane boy and still love the Coast. Both Sunny and Gold. I've been watching for months now and I enjoy your content. My favourite part is Charlotte's accent. I wont get sick of that one, foreals 😀. Cory, you look familiar to me. Have we met?? Anyways, Looking forward to your adventures. Bye for now.
Hi Peter 👋🏼 not sure if we’ve met somewhere along the way… I used to be a delivery driver in Brisbane actually so I got around a lot! We will be revisiting Brisbane in the coming months, anything exciting going on that we need to know about??
@@cjexplores Im around the city alot too as a swimming pool service guy. Maybe we have bumped into each other. As for excitement, you guys have got that one covered but I was at Coolangatta last weekend and we noticed alot of puffs of spray on the ocean. On closer inspection it was a huge migration of whales heading North. Not sure if youve seen that? We headed to Point Danger for Brekky and watched whales all Sunday morning with loads of other Sunrise people like us. Some partial breaching and fin slapping. Made our day. I think Whale season is on for a while so you'll catch some for sure. Right off Palm beach too. See you at the Pirate ship park. We take the kiddies there some times.
Please share vids on visas to Aus, I am hoping to relocate from South Africa with my family In the very near future? I am particularly interested in the visa cost.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give young people who have the dream of a permanent move to Australia 🇦🇺 Do they need a lot of funds behind them? Would you recommend they explore the country first? Cheers ❤
Hi Claire! Great question, it really depends on your situation. If you have some money saved up then I would definitely recommend exploring the East Coast of Aus first. But if you need to make the move straight into work and you have a lot of personal possessions maybe moving into a rental straight away might be a better option for you. In terms of work, if you have the right attitude you can easily get work in hospitality or labouring for fairly decent money here. Especially if you don’t mind working afternoons/nights or weekends. (Plus the award minimum wage is going up by nearly 4% in July!) A lot of young people from all over the world travel up and down the East Coast when they get to Aus, picking up work and staying in backpacker hostels along the way. It’s a great way to meet people and make friends as well. If you want to do it, I think you should just do it. Of course you may be a bit scared to make the leap but trust me, you will make it work! 🙌🏼 Hope this helps ❤️ if you have any other questions feel free to ask!
@@cjexploresthis is a perfect explanation!
