Manuel Liñán provides an overview of the W*I*S*E=R model to ensure the successful deployment of any initiative.
The characteristics of a successful initiative are:
1) Achieving the planned objectives.
2) Meeting deadlines
3) Within budget
4) Results last
Unfortunately, most initiatives do not meet these characteristics.
In this video, Manuel Liñán explains that, to ensure the successful deployment of any initiative, 4 strategies must be ensured:
Willingness strategy to make the change last: Put in place communication and motivation strategies to create the need and make the participant want to be part of the initiative.
Inspiration strategy to implement in time: Ensure the involvement of top management by making them take time to ask and talk about the initiative.
Structural strategy to avoid budget deviations: There must be a deployment plan and someone responsible for managing the implementation of the planned activities.
Training strategy to achieve the planned objectives: Good training to key stakeholders is critical.
The acronym W*I¨S*E=R can be used as a reminder of the 4 strategies mentioned above.
