Imagine if he was willing to do whatever it took to win tournaments by being a bit more flexible, he'd be a beast.
As far as Gootecks goes, he's respected because of the kind of hard work that he puts into the community. While he is somewhat respected as a player in the 3s community, he's more known for his on-screen persona and dedication to make the FGC bigger than what it used to be.
Look it up on UA-cam. but the intro video to the whole game when it came out was to introduce all the characters in a movie form. and the last thing in the video was magneto standing/ gravity squeezing galactus. it was a pretty sick video. i bet you can still find the full version of it.
My favorite player by far is MarlinPie. I feel as far as execution and skill go, he's definitely one of if not THE best player. I think the thing that holds him back the most, is he's too stubborn and refuses to adjust his playstyle or team for certain matchups. You HAVE to switch your team to counter ChrisG, and you need to switch your playstyle against certain setups. If he would realize this, he'd easily be taking tourney's again.

It goes totally against what Marvel fans enjoy about the game, but it nets him consistent wins because of it. It just goes to prove how a fundamentally-rooted player is able to beat players that rely on memorized set patterns, high-reward mixups, and extensive combos.

Marlin did the jump medium so that if champ x-factored he could still input forward heavy (foot dive) but if you x-factor you're able to get grabbed so foot dive becomes grab because you're not in block stun anymore. It's anti-x-factor tech

I do believe mvc3 isn't as deep, but it's still there - mostly during the neutral and reset game, and incoming mixups. They have to think on how best to apply their next pressure option or how best to counter the opponent's pressure options within a split second. Spacing, pressure, manipulating/conditioning, anticipating, all those are in chess and fg's

There's offense, defense, incoming setups, crossups, ambiguous cross ups, guard breaks, fuzzies, throws, air throws, randoms, unblockable setups, zoning, tac infinites, etc.. I swear, this game is almost as complex as high level chess.

RDK, the biggest boy in the Joker wagon, will say how Joker can win this fight easily, but then makes up an excuse and calls the occurence "rare" when he loses. RDK will talk about Joker always finishing his combos, but every time he drops them (and he does so quite a bit) it's a "rare" drop. I get backing up where you came from, but that's just mindless jacking right there.
Anyone know what the inputs are to Joker's superjump H confirm? I know he does sj.H sj. down H, air dash down, sj. H, land, j. up H..... after that I'm not sure what he's doing

Don't think ray ray wanted to risk it. They both had 1 meter Joker could have just hard drived and get a combo. If he had 2 meters to get out safely it would be different.
I guess it's just that Asian mentality. Pick your character and stick with it no matter what. Hopefully he'll find some way to make his team more efficient against all the people who are developing their own counters to his team and style.
