yes same in turkey, it never expires because we make it home. sometimes we strain it with salt, it becomes almost like a spreadable cheese. I saw some packaged yogurts grow mold but it is probably because of not being fermented right way.
Thank you for giving simple and convenient tips, which don't require an extra syrup that is only found in a special store on the other side of the country and costs $200 🤣
Don’t always believe that. My husband used to believe that too and would eat yoghurt past its expiry date. So once he gave me one. I ended up in hospital with the worst food poisoning I have ever had.
I know - annoying as hell. I noticed a tub of yogurt expired in fridge earlier. Just saw the title to this & got excited that maybe I could save it some way. But her first sentence said just before expiration - damn title it right. BAITCLICK
My lactose free plain yogurt is 5 days past sell by/exp date printed on tub, but I used it n this recipe anyway! The first time I’ve tried it & everything seems ok! No curdling or raunchy taste, either. Remaining cautious, & realize this could b click-bait w/ that title, but have read that dairy can remain a short while after printed date on carton.
I'm going to get my pen and paper right now and play this over and over as simple but I don't want to miss one second of this recipe because I will have this for brunch tomorrow but I just don't know how to put it together I'll be up for a while tonight but I'll get it I can't wait to try thank you so much.
This is good, but also many foods don't go bad the second they reach best before date if it's stored properly. Idk how it is in other countries but that's how it is in Norway at least.
Wow I need to try this! I get oikos variety pack from Sams club and I’m not really a fan of plain vanilla Greek yogurt but definitely will try it this way! 🥰
I waited for 4 hours as you can see my last comment was 4 hours ago it tasted like yogurt but I put Açai it it’s basically like something that will make the yogurt taste like berry’s and fruits and it was so good recommendations: greek yogurt will work with different yogurt but if it melts with a different one you might wanna put it in longer If you have syrup you can put a tiny bit and it will taste good and sweet if you put to much it will be very sweet I put a little sugar in mine and tasted kinda more sweet. So hopefully this helps and it tastes very good
What a great idea! And I like the idea of sometimes adding coconut. I can’t wait to try this. I’m always looking for healthy desserts that I can create myself. 👍
I like to use maple syrup instead of honey that’s only because I don’t really like honey so it’s really good for people that don’t like honey if you mix the syrup with Greek yogurt it ends up tasting like regular yogurt but you can add more syrup if you want it to taste like maple
Can you see inside my fridge?! I literally have an entire container of yogurt that needs to be used and I also have a couple bags of granola with very little left in them. Making this tomorrow!
I think I’d make this. For my kiddo I’d probably skip the granola, and blend everything up before freezing to turn them into yogurt popsicles for my toddler :) thanks for the cool idea.
I’d add coconut too, maybe a few dark choc pieces
Love the sound of that!
Yogurt lover... will do try
Me too 😫
@@Feelgoodfoodie your ideas are so simple thank you for sharing my family will think I’m so cool 😎
Now you're speaking my language
This looks great without it expiring. Looks like a fun treat on a warm day. I'll have to freeze some tonight for my kids
Yogurt isn't technically expired unless it's moulding, it's still safe to eat:)
About to expire not expired. 🙂
Expired yogurt is perfectly fine to eat, unless you see mold. In fact, I've eaten yogurt 3 months past its expiry date and I was completely fine!
@@alexandrapreston7283 mhm! I thought most people knew that ,especially mums

The "so cold but so good" while chewing and trying to hold in a laugh is what got me. Lol. But this is a good idea. And it looks delicious.
I'm from Iraq, Greek yogurt doesn't expire in my house, we have it one way or another for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
yes same in turkey, it never expires because we make it home. sometimes we strain it with salt, it becomes almost like a spreadable cheese. I saw some packaged yogurts grow mold but it is probably because of not being fermented right way.
My mom also make yogurt at home but how will it be called as Greek yogurt?
I'm Greek and yeah. Can't buy it fast enough. But I made this today and it was great
Same in India but we use curd instead of yogurt
Thank you for giving simple and convenient tips, which don't require an extra syrup that is only found in a special store on the other side of the country and costs $200 🤣
???
Of course! 💛
Yogurt doesn’t expire until way past the expiration date on the label, just FYI.
THANK YOU 😅
How far from the expiry date, like a week?
@@RitsychServare more.
Yeah and true for lots of other stuff. So many brainless people who don't know this and waste good food tho, I bet.
Just say u like eating sour yoghurt then bro
If I had a yogurt that's about to expire, I'd just eat it so there would be nothing left to expire. 😂
Omg girl … you just don’t know how much I love your channel!!! ❤️
yoghurt doesnt go out of date as fadt as the lable says as it is made of bacteria
yea it seems shelf life to mold growth only exists once u open it
Don’t always believe that. My husband used to believe that too and would eat yoghurt past its expiry date. So once he gave me one. I ended up in hospital with the worst food poisoning I have ever had.
my dad ate 15 year old yogurt we had at the back of the fridge it was a whole event he was fine tho

I fill an empty ice cube tray with yogurt. Then I have yogurt cubes for my smoothies👍🏾😃

I saw this video, checked my yogurt container and it literally was going to expire in two days! THANK YOU HAHA IM MAKING IT RIGHT NOW!!!
Yoghurt doesn't expire on the date it says, it lasts way after as long as it hasn't been left at room temp for ages
@@MsWnDrLnD hmmm I don’t think I’d risk it tho 😬
@@ameliecamille8258 There's no risk, it's science ffs, SO much good food wasted by infuriating deliberate ignorance in this world.

Yum! But by the time I realize my yogurt is gonna go bad, it's already turned with that blue mold 😂
One thing is for it to BE ABOUT TO EXPIRE and EXPIRED YOGURT. Those are different things.
I know - annoying as hell. I noticed a tub of yogurt expired in fridge earlier. Just saw the title to this & got excited that maybe I could save it some way. But her first sentence said just before expiration - damn title it right. BAITCLICK
