One of the greatest guitarist that has come out of Canada. An amazing singer song writer and a national treasure.
This has always been one of my ultimate favorite songs from Bruce, so to see him perform it live is the best!!
Part of the magic lies in that beauty of a guitar, the fabled Manzer, but without Bruce's hands it wouldn't sound so BIG.
It's a special group of people who appreciate this guy. You're a kool dude Bruce. You fly under the radar but I hear ya.

Awesome! One of the best singer, songwriters ever! Saw him perform in Sacramento years ago. Will never forget it!
I first heard this in the mid-80's, shortly after a high school trip to Japan. It hit so real then, and still does. His skill as both songwriter and musician are in the very top tier. I'd recommend the Bruce Cockburn memoir, "Rumors of Glory". His story in his own words.

I remember hearing Bruce perform Tokyo solo acoustic in a radio concert, ca. 1980. He was getting airplay on USA stations for the first time, and his record company was promoting him as "Canada's best kept secret". I ran out and bought the Humans album the next day, and I've been hooked on his music since.
There is a feel to this beautiful song that has stayed with me from the first time I heard it almost 40 years ago. Thank you Mr. Cockburn..
