This is a good concert. Bruce's "Stealing Fire" is still one of my all time favorite albums/CDs. I like every song and I marvel at the lyrics and how they are put to such beautiful music. His storytelling is superb and "Peggy's Kitchen Wall" is wonderful. I am 75 years old and I love the early eighty's music. Keep kicking at the darkness, daylight tends to purify.
You get a lot of music and sound out of the Chapman Stick . Perhaps even more amazing how Bruce gets so much music out of conventional guitar . fingerpicking genius , and he ain't just fingerpicking chords . often he plays accompaniment and lead line simultaneously with the open handed picking . lots of dexterity needed fingering the fretboard
Thanks for your observations on the finger picking style. See Brazilian guitarist Lucas Imbiriba to enjoy another talented guitarist using this method.
... because your/our listening to it is more important than its discussion by pundits, however insighful and with whatever reach. Keep well and listen on!
Back when the music charts had singers that spent the thousands of hours learning to play a guitar while singing, or hired a band member that knew how to play, instead of just adding cheap computer bullcrap background music.
This tune was covered by the late , brilliant , Dan Fogelberg on his majestic The Wild Places album .In my opinion Dan's version is every bit as superb as the original from Mr Cockburn . Bruce was a huge influence on Dan's music .
Man, I loved this song until I watched this equal opportunity video. I want good things for everyone. I don’t want the far left message shoved down my throat! Fu
Fergus Marsh! Such a big part of Bruce's sound back then, adds so much.
Jonathan Gold(?) o kbd?
Fergus is great isn’t he? Nice guy too! Gotta love Bruce Cockburn!
If there's a beautifully voiced song that can make me cry.....

Saw Bruce when I was 14. Now at 60 still fond of him, his music and his meekness. A great soul for planet earth.
Awesome. Bruce in the 80s, lovely to see.
This version of Creation Dream is amazing!
Bruce is always amazing live or on record. love the chapman stick. The Moroccan guitar solo and drum middle of Creation Dream is fantastic.
My fave Creation Dream

That’s Fergus Marsh on Stick. He’s still playing out (wish Bruce would work with him again). I saw the American wing of this tour. Brilliant band!
True Canadian philanthropist activist world citizen all as a foundation for an incredible body of music.
Rocket Launcher is an amazing song. U2 quoted it in “God Part II”
It's good but overplayed like Wondering Lions both good just sick of hearing them !
No, “kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight” from lovers in a dangerous time is quoted on God part two
How could so much towering talent...not be mentioned more often when towering musical talent is discussed? Rick Beato...where are you?

I have seen his show in Karl-Marx-Stadt, in the GDR. It was great.
Was it easy to watch these Rockpalast shows on West German TV or were you risking trouble?
Saw him 3 times back in the day. Always been of my favorites
