Damn, you seem really upset that some people know more about Skylines (or dare I say cars in general?) than you.
Also, interesting comment there about no one liking cars that you've never heard of, and people only liking cars because of their badge. While that may be true to an extent, you may want to consider that you simply don't know about their following since you've never heard of the car, and that the circle of people that you hear from most only really like the more commonly known cars.

Probably not, because you, and most Forza UA-camrs, aren't into those sorts of cars, and only hear about them when they're in games. Not knowing about a car doesn't mean that it doesn't have a following. It simply means that you don't know about it.
Peter Guthrie Peter Guthrie has nothing really to do with Skyline knowledge or car knowledge, just the fact that people bandwagon a car they've never heard of previously just because it got put into forza. the vast majority of people didn't know about this car, and as theo said, if it didn't have a Skyline or GT(S)-R badge on it, nobody would really care about the car. i'm sure there are people out there who knew about the R31 before it was released in this update, but the matter theo is talking about is the bandwagons who pretend they knew all about it wayyyyy before and it's actually their favorite skyline ever, when they just found the car for themselves like the night before

They built domestic market R31's in Australia, so yeah I'd imagine Nissan in NZ decided to ship ship hordes of them over, since they were quite a popular car on their day. Still are actually, but more among the enthusiast crowd.

Not even, really. The R30 has a different body style and the biggest engine you could get in it was an FJ20, while the R31 was the first Skyline to have the famous RB engine that we've come to expect from performance Skylines.
R31's originally never came out with an rb30 they only came with and rb30 in the australian market
NavousHD Yes they did. Similar to an R31 in body style, but still different. R30's used the L series motor or the awesome FJ20 as opposed to the R31's RB motors.

Best skyline is the 2000 GT-R for looks then the r33 but that car looks like a c33 laurel which would of been a better addition to the game
Love the stock engine sound. I put around 450hp into the default engine and it's great fun to drive, handles quite nicely.
Forza players are so deprived of variety. Gran Turismo has had all these older cars for years. Even the Skyline R30 is in half the series and believe me, it barely resembles a Skyline. Gran Turismo also has older versions of Silvias like the S112, S111 etc. As far as the GT-s designation, thats Skylines moniker for their rwd models, R used to be a race spec upgrade before becoming the awd moniker on the R32 models onwards. Gran Turismo is such a great series, it teaches everyone about the history behind all its cars and has a massive library of cars to explore. As far as personal taste, the R31 does have an understated classic look but R32 will always be my favorite model.

A lot of people have no idea what a r30 or r31 or c210 or even a c110 skyline are. And that's fine nobody needs to make a big deal of it. Not a lot of people are building those models and the people who do build them don't really get the attention from magazines and big sites such as super street for example. The c10 and the r34 would in my opinion be considered the most glorified and then come the r33 and r32 and it seems that every other skyline kind if got pushed out of the spotlight. And for the record, the gts-R is not the same as a gtr mostly because there is no r31 gtr. The 2 performance trims are the gts autech (only 200? produced) and then obviously the gts-R (800 produced), both with (and correct me if I'm wrong) a rb20detR engine putting out I believe 210hp, which was plenty for a 2500lbs car in the 80's. Question for anyone who can shed some light on this but is there a gts-R nismo? came across a gts-R while searching for one to import that had nismo badging and a whole bunch if nismo goodies but I can't seem to find a record of any nismo editions....

I've known the R31 and the KPGC10 since Gran Turismo 2 on the PS1. Then years later I have found them, and KPGC110 again in Gran Turismo 5. I really love the KPGC110 and how crazy people can make it look. It's one of my favourite cars for sure.
its actually quite a common car here in australia, a very good and cheap drifting platform.
please learn something about cars and specialy classic cars (nobody cares about new pos audi etc...) its sooo painfull watching you saing about allmost every classic car you drive in game i dont know anything about this car ... but its not that hard learn something .. watch some rally videos from 80-90s and you are done it ... and if you said you are skyline fan etc .. and dont know r31/30 c210 etc .... its just hard to watch .... (and easy to learn)

I know this car.Why?Because in GT6 there are about 50 skylines so instead of going through all of them I just put skyline in the search bar and that was the first thing and I made a rice and a drift version.
Well all i can say is that i knew the Nissan skyline r31 before i started forza.. But i can safely say that my favourite skyline is the R32 or R34 Turbo so yeah ;l

it was one of the famous 1980 killer machines in the group a racing series the gts r is a special edition with was RWD and about 500 was made I think. and a real rare car no one really knows about and it has the rb20 which later was in the gts models from the 1990 which were cheaper skylines and the GTR was the top model so I'm so happy thats in the game

My favorite Skyline is the ALSID-1 Prince Skyline from 1958. Yes, that's real, yes it's a Nissan, and no, I didn't have to Google that.

They’re common drift cars in Australia sporting an RB30 motor. We only got the 4 door models.
Turbo conversions are very common as the RB30 came from factory turbo’d in our VL commodores, so in series 3 variants of the R31 already have stuff such as blocked off pre-threaded allocations for oil return, oil feed, etc for turbo.
My friends makes 320 kilowatts at the wheels, 21 pounds of boost and that’s reserved and on stock internals.
I personally own a GXE R31 series 3 two tone model with 150,000 km on it. Minispool diff, hydro brake, HD clutch, lightened flywheel, etc etc.
R31s are also skyrocketing in value, a perfect drift car. They aren’t “unknown”, they’re very well known amongst actual car guys, drifters and collectors.

Most of you guys are plebs for not knowing what this car is. Also don't say "Skyline is love, Skyline is life" if you didn't know every generation of Skyline, excluding the "GTR" models going from the PCG to the second generation "R" Skylines. Also it is "GTS-R" The R Series onwards all have a "GTS-T" variants which are RWD and also share the same engine are the GTS-R R31, being the RB20.

The GTS-R is a one of 800 limited run of R31 Skyline that was originally supposed to hearken back to the old GTR's like the Kenmeri or the Hakosuka. It featured an improved RB20DET as it's powerplant since the RB26 wasn't developed yet. It's a damn good car too. Remember, this car came at a time when Nissan wasn't producing a GTR.
You got to check out the 80's & 70's imsa/scca & group 5 racing cars.
Some interesting design choices & body modifications done on production cars back in those days & some pretty crazy power figures back then too in the later era's. zakspeed for example out of a 1.7 litre 4 cylinder made 600 hp back in the 80's in their ford capri.

you seriously need to look up about these cars before talking. You just wing it. To me can clearly see its in the skyline family. Also the first 4wd skylines were the R32. All skylines before that were RWD. That skyline is also a homologation special for group A touring car. Features a RB20DET engine!
Also racing in the Australian touring car series which probably explains why it was in Forza.
