I rather you keep two separate channel to be honest, I feel like it would be more "organised"! You could do like "A day in my life" vlogs and put it on your main channel tho!
I prefer if u kept the vlogs here on a separate channel to ur main one as I agree with some opinions below that the vibe is different. However if u did decide to put ur vlogs on the main channel it wouldnt deter me from viewing as Im subscribed to both :) if im totally honest i prefer your vlogs than main channel vids. The only main channel vids i usually watch of urs is uni/book relate x
I like the idea of merging both channels. Your channel would remain active and you could just create playlists to separate your content (vlogs and “main channel” videos). I’m subscribed to both of your channels, so I wouldn’t miss any of your videos.
I think merging channels or keeping them separate are both fine ideas, because I'm subscribed to both! It makes sense that it's easier for you so I'd say go with that! As long as you do some fun weekly vlogs before the usual vlogtober and vlogmas!

I used to love the daily vlogs when I was studying because I'd use them as a library break (I was at Edinburgh uni as well!). Now that I've finished uni, I've been loving the longer multi-day ones. I think they'd suit either channel!

Jess, I had laser eye surgery a year ago&I’m very happy with the results but i got it done because i hated wearing glasses.
if you love wearing glasses and still want to get surgery you could keep the frames and use them as reading glasses if and when you need any later in life (most people do).
Also, while it’s not true that you can’t get laser eye surgery when your eyesight isn‘t „stable“, most doctors will strongly advise against it. Especially with young people it’s recommended that your eyesight should have been stable/not have deteriorated for at least two years before the surgery, otherwise there‘s a big risk that it will continue deteriorating even after the surgery&you‘ll be needing glasses again a couple of years after the surgery (as it‘s tricky to do surgical touch-ups). but if these things aren’t an issue i would definitely recommend getting it done x

Jess I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of them, but you should check out glasses that block blue light rays from screens since you spend a lot of time on the computer. Since I started using them my eyes feel a lot better. I got mine from Eyebuydirect and you can get them with or without prescription lens 😊

I really like this style of Vlogmas and I understand it must make a lot more sense to you and be a lot more convenient and take some of the pressure away... I don't mind the channels as they are but if it makes it easier to you to just have everything in the same place then why not? I'll watched them all there :)
Also random question but do you have any favorite brands of makeup brushes? I need some new ones and now that Christmas is coming up people ask me what I need and I REALLY ned some new makeup brushes! I've heard a lot about Real Techniques, Morphe, Zoeva and Spectrum...

I think merging all your content on to one channel would be great. A main channel and a vlogging channel almost feels a bit outdated now, in a manner of speaking. Go for it :-)

If you move your vlogs to your main channel, I think it'd be great if you stuck to making them as weekly vlogs :) That way your main channel wouldn't be flooded with vlogs during your daily vlogging months
(1) I love getting a vlog every day even if it's a short "boring" one, but I also love getting longer vlogs from multiple days! So basically, either way I will love your vlogs, just pick whichever options works best for you!
(2) I feel like moving your vlogs to your main channel would make sense since you already make videos on a variety of topics anyway (books, fashion, beauty, uni stuff). Although based on comments it seems not everyone agrees with this! Maybe also ask on your main channel, as it probably would have a larger effect on that channel / for the subscribers of your main channel only...
Every time I watch your vlogs now I feel like having a ramen. So it’s like 6:34am in the morning, and I’m cooking a ramen -.- (I hope jet lag is a valid excuse!)
Also, I don’t mind the vlogs being moved over!

This might sound a little odd, but I've been wearing glasses since I was 11 months old (crazy, I know) and even though I already know I can't have the laser surgery because there was a huge risk that my condition would come back after a few years, I wouldn't stop wearing glasses for anything, it sounds odd but my glasses are part of me, and it's so much fun to pair them with outfits and all! Do what you think it's best Jess, you can always wear non prescription glasses after the surgery if you fancy! xx
I had laser eye surgery at 21 (now 30) and honestly it changed my life! I didn’t realise how big a difference it would make, so I highly recommend it. You can still wear glasses for fashion just without your prescription lenses :) and regarding putting your blogs on your main channel, bloody brilliant idea! Do it!!

I think having them separated makes it a lot more convenient because then the separation of content creates a more clear genre per channel, but do whatever you feel would most benefit you.

I got my eyes lasered and it honesly made my life 10 times better! No wasting time on putting on/taking off lenses and glasses.
Also you can still keep wearing your glasses if you'd like to, just change the glass bit to normal non prescription ones, they can do it in most shops I think :)
MyPigWhizzles do it! My eyes were also super dry from wearing lenses and would be even painful sometimes to take them off! It honestly was the best decision ever for me cannot recommend it enough :)

I don't see the problem of you having just one channel. It's very easy to see what is a vlog and what is a staged video especially if you keep your vlog thumbnails like now divided into 4 pictures. I totally understand it's more of an oversight for you especially now that you also have the blog etc. Love your content always!
Getting laser eye surgery is a wonderful idea, besides not being able to wear cool glasses I think it just makes life way easier. The only thing is if your eyes haven't stabilised yet and are still changing as far as getting worse or better from year to year it would make getting laser eye surgery useless because your eyes will still continue to get worse after getting surgery ☹. They'll even out eventually and then thats when you should have them done. I've been seeing the same eye Dr since I was 8 years old so about 25 years and this is the advice he gave me.

Hi Jess! Just to comment about the laser operation. I started using glasses when I was 7-8 years old now I am 27 so you can imagine that I was really blind when I had my laser done. That was three years ago I think was the best decision of my life. I had 6 and 5 of miopía in my eyes. Of course I didn't get really really good because I was way too blind so I have to use glasses to see far, not always but when I need it. I hardly recommend the laser it's kinda awkward and anoying during the procedure but it definitely worth it!!!!. Xx from Chile ps: love your videos

to stop your nails from breaking and being weak try out jojoba oil. it has done wonders for my nails. you can get some off amazon! x
I had Lasic, I do miss glasses sometimes, but glasses have really come on trend, so it's easy to find nonprescription ones. Also your eyes still kind of get worse as time goes on, it's possible I could need glasses again in a decade or so, but many places give you a warranty, where you can get another procedure done if your eyes get bad enough again.

I think merging channels would be great! We still see everything in our subscription box all the same so it wouldn't really matter. And that way your channel would appear more active which is better for your UA-cam growth!

ily and your videos but it rly seems like youre not enjoying vlogging lately? i know you've always been a relatively chill vlogger but we used to see more silly times, interactions w other ppl, more natural conversation with your viewers etc. i hope its not true and youre just feeling a little more mellow and quiet! but having soo much sponsored content and not seeming as engaged in your unsponsored content feels a little disappointing :(

I get you! You are right, I feel like all she vlogs is opening the advent calendar and telling us what she does rather than showing? Like all she wants to do is get vlogging over with and we hardly get to see what she does/when she goes out. Some people are happy to see her just studying and all, me included, but after like a month of vlogging it gets old not seeing the other things she gets to do 🤔I mean it’s my opinion, it’s not like she owes us anything.
