Hi Jess. Those street shots of London were beautiful & I loved seeing you again. Just a friendly reminder that myself and many others are here for you and exactly you. That includes you studying, feeling ill, being hungover, sharing your laughter and thoughts with us and also your more chilled days. Some people in these comments feel entitled to a strict upload schedule as if they were your personal employer, and are jumping at every comment thread for their opportunity to criticize, but unfortunately it's just that negative people are the ones who always have the most to prattle on about. I see it occur on your channel and every other one I watch no matter the content, schedule, etc. so please know that many of us appreciate you!

I’m honestly very disappointed with the comments on this video. Normally, every viewer is supportive and I feel like we’re a big family. What’s up with all the hate comments? Yes, a lot of people were expecting a video everyday but is it really that much of a big deal that she put 7 days into 1? Idk if you guys noticed, but Jess is very busy and still managed to upload quite a lot of videos for a month. I wouldn’t even be able to upload half of that if I had a youtube channel! I don’t think you guys have the right to be so disrespectful towards Jess as she could’ve easily just skipped Vlogtober altogether with Uni being so demanding, but she pushed through and gave us vlogs. Remember that she is a full-time student, not a full-time youtuber. She is allowed to take a break for her health and for school.

I think for a lot of people it was the fact that she didn't even bother to write a sentence on social media letting everyone know she was OK. That's incredible selfish IMHO when you drop off for a week when you're meant to be daily vlogging. TL;DR: I don't care if she didn't vlog at all this month or week. But I found it rude she couldn't be fussed to take 1 minute and let everyone know she was OK.
I disagree because it must be very difficult to balance a full time masters degree with socialising and uploading a video every day. when she uploads sponsored content on time its due to a contractual obligation she has to the company which like it or not she doesnt have with us. she doesnt really owe us anything so it often comes second to her real life. I also think we literally SEE her studying alll day so why all the hate when she has an unexpected week of socialising or prioritising other things. its difficult. people are too quick to expect someone to be perfect, she did warn us a few vlogs back she would sometimes blend days together because its better than nothing and shes overwhelmed with starting at a new university and doing a much harder more intensive course. i think its reasonable for people to want her to post about it but nothing more- if she did a video a day for the whole month thats the equivalent of full time youtube not part time

No offense, but a lot of people her age manage university and a job, or even 2. They *have* to because they need to pay for university (in the states anyway) and rent and food.
forgottenpixel it all depends on how you manage to work with what you've got I think. I've never been to America but this does sound like a lot. I think it's good to appreciate all that anyone is giving you, whatever it is. In this case, for me, it's her effort and her kind heart. Jess's vlogs have helped me to be more productive and I see that as something I should be thankful for and not bitch (not talking about you) about how frequently she uploads. It's like people aren't busy enough to be talking this crap. If anyone want this "glorious" UA-cam life then I would say go for it, give it a try.
+Hannah Vervaet I completely agree with you in that some people are good at managing their time and some are not. But I guess my point is that if she relied on YT (which is her sole job right now) for food and for a roof over her head (which we know she doesn't - nothing wrong with that at all IMO but it's just a fact) this past month she'd be coming up short as far as income goes. I think a majority of women her age are working just as hard or harder than she is (in October at least), not the other way around. IE: To me, I don't see anything to really commend as far as her studies and work (YT) management has been this month. Especially when I saw her managing her time a *lot* better in previous month-long vlogs. I don't believe she didn't have the time to do much this year personally - I think it just wasn't a priority like it has been in the past to her. She seemed rather glum in the first several vlogs which makes me feel sad for her. But I also felt sad that she could have just said she wasn't in to it and all the negative comments on this vlog wouldn't exist. It's almost like she's scared of her subs in a way which seems odd as hers are one of the best out of almost all YTrs. But that's just my take of course.

The sense of entitlement in some of these comments is unreal. You don’t pay Jess, no one is making you hang around and she doesn’t owe you anything. I have watched Jess since she was 16, and yes there have been luls but that’s normal. How many of you have held a job for 7 years (and been completely invested the whole time) in your young adult years? If you can’t be bothered hanging around for the busier times, then don’t.

I don't know why people are complaining, I much prefer to have a long vlog to watch every other day than a five minute one everyday. How does it change your life really. If it makes it easier for Jess I'm fine with it. She could also choose to not vlog at all, no one is forcing her. Flooding the comments with negativity is probably not the best way to encourage her. I don't think people realise how much work daily vlogging requires, I'd like to see you vlog everyday (especially with her life atm). Don't worry Jess, your loyal subscribers appreciate your efforts ! There are plenty of youtubers who are doing vlogtober, just find someone else to watch when Jess doesn't upload

I'd love to see the people complaining upload as often as you do, with all your added stuff on top and being ill. Also a lot of people only upload vlogtober once a week.
InGhostlyCompany Just look at other vloggers who share similar popularity as Jess does. There are several I have followed on and off who were in her situation and could easily do weekly vlogs *all* year long. But even more important they communicate with their subscribers. They don’t just poof and then not say anything for a week. If you read them, there are very few people ‘hating’ on her for not doing Daily vlogs. *We* are frustrated because she didn’t take a minute to let everyone know she was OK as she left off saying she wasn’t feeling good. She needs to get that while she doesn’t have to share her entire days and every detail about them. However, it’s just polite to let people know you’re OK. But she obviously doesn’t ‘get’ that or she would have done a 1 minute update. I don’t hate Jess or anything even remotely like that. I just don’t agree that she handled this situation well, that’s all.
I see weekly vloggers 'poof' and not say anything all the time, sometimes for weeks on end. And I have seen many upload, tired and stressed, admitting they just can't do it anymore or that they don't actually relax in the evenings, or see friends, because they are too busy editing. It's stressful by itself, let alone with a Masters degree. There are many possible reasons behind her not saying anything. I don't question that you care, but at the end of the day, she clearly has a lot to do, and her social media is probably at the end of a long list. If it upsets you, then fine, your feelings are valid, but this is the end of my caring.
