That will be my next toy, works great!
Low range first gear and let it eat. Worked great for leveling our yard to replant. Great video Hank, glad to see content on your projects and property.
Thanks for watching and the feedback👍
I love your videos with brutus working, also the will it starts. You never let me down. Thanks for keeping me entertained. You are a good guy hank. I like that hat you wore for most of the video.
Thanks Russ👍
Slow down some and it will give it time to dig. I crawl with it.
Thanks Brian. Good call
I agree with the others that say you going too fast and too shallow. When I till up an existing lawn, I like to go two inches deeper on each pass. By the third pass there isn’t any grass or roots on top. If you have to rake, you didn’t till it enough. It’s usually best ti leave any organic material in the soil if you can unless it’s some really nasty stuff. When in the heck did you shoot this? Our pumpkins are about done for the season.
Thanks Gary. Definitely learning. We shot this about 5 weeks ago I guess, somewhere around in there
Thats how we do it ,drop the cut in stages, when your done it is a pretty sight . Hamilton Farms you and the mrs. are living the dream! :)
That's right👍
Good video Hank. I like the roto tiller you are using.
Thanks Steve
Excellent work! The Homestead tiller made quick work of that ground, very impressed! 🚜
Thanks David 👍
Great video Hank! That's a nice tiller. I would go a bit slower though, probably lowest rang in 2nd or 3rd gear. I too use the Auto PTO on mine with the tiller. It will also turn off once you press the clutch pedal. I don't use that feature with high inertia implements, like a mower as the constant ON/OFF is hard on the PTO brake and clutch.
You're right. Shouldve went slower.
Pumpkin patch....good luck with that! I know you guys will love seeing all the families out there picking out their pumpkins. 👍🏼
Yes sir
When you had the ground tilled up, i thought you was making some metal art there with that rebar Hank lol. That worked very sweet building that garden with your implement. Thanks for sharing the experience on this project.
Thanks Alan. I appreciate the comment 👍
That's a good tiller when it can till up rebar lol 👍🇺🇸. Good video Hank and Gina!
Thanks CJ👍
What a great attachment and hope your plans work out well excellent work and thanks for the awesome content
Thanks buddy👍
Hamiltonville Farm no problem friend 🙂
Awesome rototiller Hank. It made quick work of the pumpkin patch and sunflower plot. You have great soil there on the farm. Looking forward to seeing the pumpkins growing and the arrival of Linus' Great Pumpkin on Halloween night. Lol.
Lol. Thanks Terry. Have a good weekend
Man.... you two are just awesome. Love seeing you two work together. The tractor is awesome as always. Still waiting to buy.
Thanks for the kind words👍
That is a nice tiller. It does a great job
Thanks 👍
You guys are so do fascinating jobs and everything I love it man you guys make up and do some fascinating things God bless you
Thanks Robert. God bless
Nice! I built a small raised bed this year, so a tiller isn't in my future. That sure makes quick work of it!
Yes sir👍
That homestead tiller is heavy and awesome. You need to put on your sign "as seen on tv" when you open it up to the public!
Lol
Can't wait to see the Oliver run
Yeah me too. I got some parts that will be here in a couple days and I'll work on it. Video out probably 1st week of October
For any irrigation stuff you should check out Berryhill irrigation they are local to me in Virginia
Thanks. I will 👍
Slow down a bit and this will give it time to dig deeper and mix everything up so the roots will grow easier and stronger. What you have done now is just scratch the top. In other words, it's as if you had done nothing, except to mark the field. For the length of your new garden, a minimum of 5 minutes per row mixing this soil would be ideal.
Thanks for watching
I need one of these to till me up a quick little garden. Course it would take about 4 minutes since I don't have space for a huge garden lol.
Lol. Don't take long
great video buddy 😎👊🏻👍🏻
I appreciate it 👍
Hamiltonville Farm you are welcome buddy 😀
Love that tiller!!
Thanks brother
That tiller is really nice . 👍Interesting garden 🤔 Ok I got a question . Why the filter cloth.? Too stop weeds from growing ?
You got it. It's a weed barrier
Hamiltonville Farm I have rolls of filter cloth . This is a really good idea . I’m making a mounding attachment for my tiller . I’m going too try that next year instead of wood chips . And the water can still get thru the filter cloth . I just learned something new today 👍👍👍
Great show
Thanks for watching 👍 we appreciate it.
Does the tiller have a shear pin or slip clutch also curious to see the new landscape rake from homestead implements
It's a slip clutch. I'll have to do a dedicated video on the landscape rake. I've done an overview on it.
Oh, now you rototill the ground after you use backhoe, front end liader, box blade to smooth things out,,heh heh heh, good video on how rototiller constructed and how to use. : )
Thanks for watching Jim👍 we appreciate it
I like the tiller! I think id need a bush hog/flail before I went tiller LOL!
Yeah for sure👍

Thanks 👍
Go get ya'self one, man! I got my 1st and so far, only tractor just last year. In fact, just earlier today my pallet fork attactment arrived. Now I can use *_that_* to unload my incoming future attachments off the delivery truck easier. :)
Good job God bless
Thanks Ralph. God bless
Howboutcha guys. That’s a cool lil cultivator.
Thank you kind sir. 😊👍
Generally I till 5 times , change directions 45% each pass . How deep are you going ? I cannot seem to get more than 5 inches, i use a old chisel plow with beaver tails to go down further. My dad used a Robin tiller , it went in about a foot , turned tree roots into mulch , took about 10 hp per foot . Wish I still had it
I was really going ot deep on my first pass. I can dig 7.5 inches with my tiller
Looking good. The old honeydew list lol.
Yes sir👍
I'm a gardener myself..but I don't why you tilled the grass if you were planning on covering it with the landscaping cloth.
Now if you were going to add a mulch or compost to it..that makes more sense.
Thanks for watching
Disc first, then till.
I don't have a disc
👍🏻👍🏻
👍👍
That rototiller is almost as good as a mole with itchy feet!
Lol.
Ground speed way to fast slow down
Thanks
