Good choice 👍🏻 I just bought one.
I'm thinking of copping one of these. Thanks for the review.
This helmet saved my life 4Sure... stay tuned i got a crazy new video coming soon...Thanks 4Watching
@@100SpokeRiderz I just ordered one in Basalt Grey. Can't wait to rock it, and will be tuned in for the next video!
That looks really good! Ever since we tried an internal sun visor we'll never go back it's to convenient specially if you ride after the sun goes down. Nice pick *T4S*
I like the smoked one my helmet came with & it works good even with the mirrored face shield but I almost want to try the yellow tinted one for dark night riding.
I picked up a C91 a couple weeks ago. I haven't gotten that much ride time with it yet. I got it in matte black with the dark smoke shield and pinlock insert. My wife has the same setup and she loves it. I think its a solid choice for a modular under $200. I paid about $250 with the extra shield nd pinlock insert. If you've never tried a pinlock insert it is life changing lol. Works unbelievably well! I also purchased the HJC F70 full face. It was actually a replacement for an icon airflight that was warrantied out. That F70 is an amazing helmet @ $270 and I highly recommend it! That F70 puts the icon airflight to shame. It is a far superior helmet for the same price as the icon!
I should have got a Modular years ago because I love being able to flip the face open. The drop down shades on the inside is a first for me also, thats another feature I must have in all my helmets going forward because its very useful here in Arizona.... Thanks 4Watching
I agree the drop down is a must have!
that is the only review so far in english. i got a white one. seems to be good so far. seems to have same locking design to hjc model rated highly by that british organization....memory fails at the moment :) comes with snap on chin shield. also has snaps for breath shield. wonder if one will become available -- very useful on those cold mornings to keep from fogging
Its going to be a while before I can use that snap in chin shield I tried it once but it was way to hot here in Arizona, it did seem to make the helmet a little more quiet on the inside... Thanks 4Watching
Tried the HJC C91 and found that the chin bar does not share the same hinge or pivot point as the visor. Although this is normal for budget modulars, it bothers me because the visor will not automatically close when I flip up the chin bar. So I went up to the HJC i90 instead.
Just ordered the matte black and orange one. Of course it's on back order but probably be here in a week. Can't wait, will be my first modular as well
I'm happy with mine so far..... Thanks 4Watching
Just in case< Revilla has many in stock. I just Bought one today Black with the Red stripe.
Nice video bro ! I’m going to buy the blue one ☝️
It's well worth the money 4Sure... Thanks 4Watching
Crazy how I’m getting similar gear as you man coming from sportbikes lol. I went for the bell srt modular tho but it’s also gonna be my first ever modular helmet. I seen you made a video on boots as well as the jacket.. have you gotten any new cruiser gloves yet? I opted for a pair from first mfg. safe riding man 🤙🏼
When it comes to gloves I've been threw about 25-30 pair over the years all different styles & brands. The main fail point was the velcro so about 6 years ago I tried some (Street & Steel: Scrambler) gloves & I'm still wearing them toady. They are the best gloves I've ever had & the best part there is no velcro
the chin skirt makes a big difference in wind noise in the helmet on mine. However, Im so tall my head is in the windstream on my harley, if you are inside the "bubble" protected from most of the wind, it probably wont make any difference.
Good video. Is the second piece a breath guard? For an update, is it noisy. Wind noise. Thanks.
The wind noise level is the same as my other 5 helmets but even my most expensive helmet I've ever own (Shoei) was only quiet for a few months once it was broken in it got louder like the rest of them
Hey 100SpokeRiderz, I too am looking to go from an FG-17 to the C91. What sizes did you order for each? I’m usually a Large size, but the X-Large FG-17 fit PERFECTLY. So did you order the same size for both? Did you notice any difference in the way they fit? Thanks!
Both i order the same size & both felt the same once it was on I did notice the C91 was a little tight when trying to slide it on closed but if I put it on with the fase open then close it then it feels normal.... Thanks 4Watching
@@100SpokeRiderz Thanks, I’ll be sure to get the Extra Large!
I like the replacement chrome shield, whats the part number for it?

I bought the same helmet the only issue I have is the metal tabs on the sides that lock it down scratched up the insides
I just looked at mine & there is one light scuff on each side but its not to serious I never noticed it until you said something. I can't see the scuffs when the helmet is closed & its on a non shinny part on the inside so I'm still happy with my helmet.. Thanks 4Watching
Hello what about the size? My head is 58 cm then what size should I get?
Great review overall
hey i have ordered ST Compatc agv but it didnt work for me as i use glasses. DO you think this one if fine if i use glasses, i see youre using them too thanks mate
I got Ray Ban glasses & it still works good with them. I can use the internal shades & they don't touch my glasses at all...Thanks 4Watching
That extra peice is the chin wind guard.
The other piece had 2 buttons that popped in im not sure how that other piece goes in
How is the wind noise? I was looking for a modular going 60 mph, ill be good? Thank you boss 🙏🏽
Ive had 6 helmets in my lifetime (different brands/price ranges)& the wind noise was all the same once they break in. Here in Arizona the freeway speeds gets up there & this helmet has the same amount of noise as all the rest. I always tell people if you going to be doing freeway speeds for some time ear plugs or buds is the way to go... Thanks 4Watching
in asia you don't order from any of these I got the i90 to have the sena BT fit --ready for speakers.
is there any compatible model of replacement visor to fit hjc c91? except the recomended hj17 visor. thank u..
I'm not 100% sure about that I just got the visor recommend by the place i bought the helmet from ( Revzilla.com )
Does the face shield lense have a lockdown on it?
Kinda just snaps close & holds it there but there's no lock button if thats what you meant
Im going to buy a moped do you think its good for that and hoe much does it weight
I'm not sure of the weight but you can get the full specs off the HJC website.... Thanks 4Watching
Does this have quick release chin strap or the double D ring? Thanks!!!!
C91 doesnt have the DD. Unfortunately…
@@wojciechstanicki8985 I think it depends on the region, so that's why I wanted to ask OP.
@@Avexius oh sure, you’re probably right. EU east here
Mine has the double D rings
Where do I get the mirror visor?
Got mine from Revzilla.com
What is the part number?
@@simonmcaboy7910 5:26
How loud is the helmet?
Its the same amount of wind noise as my other 6 helmets. One thing I've learned over the years is even the expensive helmet start out quiet but once they get broke in they get loud just like a cheap helmet
Send me them wine vouchers my brother!!
Somebody already used them..Thanks 4Watching
Maybe some air brushing?
I'm not sure about that 4 this one the air brushing would probably cost more than what I paid for the helmet
True to size?
Yes , Thanks 4Watching
hi, just got this helmet, im sure if its a fake, i got the xxl tally red one, it weighs 4.4kg but says 1700g on the sticker, wind noise is bad too, whats yours weigh?
I'm not sure on the weight but I can say it does hold up great in a crash.
thats good to hear it holds up well, are you alright? i was in a 15mph crash a month ago, slipped on some oil while cornering and accelerating, i put my arm out to break my fall, big mistake! i ruptured (ripped in half) not the tendon but the actual pectoral muscle, it hurt alot but strangely didnt make a noise, 40% of that muscles strength lost for the rest of my life, pretty shit. wont stitch soft tissue, owell life goes on.
@@steveulliott4106 I got a crazy story myself but I will do a update video soon because I had a life changing experience 4Sure
shit man... ill look out for the update, hope your ok! strangely i was more worried about the damage to my bike than my arm, ended up choosing not to go to the hospital, 5 weeks pass and mostly my arm is useable again, but it hurt when i performed certain movements, then my drone got stuck in the tree so i frowed a stick as hard as i could only to rupture the arm even worse than before, this time I finally went to hospital, do yourself a favour, if you hurt something bad, don man it up, because the surgeons wont operate on tendons if 3 weeks have passed due to self healing, and you can be left with life long strength issues with constant aches, just bnot worth it with 'bikers arm' injury. take care
how different from the i90
Just $50 less
Get a wireless Mike .
Who cares about the box ? the visor and shield then I presume don't match the i90
The Revzilla people heard you say the helmet was for a Harley and they know how grumpy Harley riders always are, so the extra pad is for between your legs. Hopefully you don't follow the Harley trend and give dirty looks to sportbike riders when they pass by and wave hello.
The Harley was totaled & that helmet saved my life 🤙
@@100SpokeRiderz that's good to hear that the helmet did a good job and saved your melon, especially since it wasn't very expensive. Glad you survived. Now get an Indian next time. More reasonable prices and imo, they look better too.
Harley isn't really an American bike like people scream from the rooftops. Most parts are from overseas. France, Germany, China, Italy... They are only assembled in the states. Proof is in them saying they were leaving the US when import fees rose up. That's not very American of them. It's actually insulting. That's why I don't understand why HD riders won't wave back to Japanese bike riders. I want every rider to be safe and enjoy their bike, and I don't understand their angry mindset towards others.
Sound is horrible. Can't watch
