Wow, that’s beautiful. The natural materials are beautiful. I love how the air can go all the way through the house. But no solar panels on all that perfect-for-solar roof?
I couldn't agree more. It's very soothing and relaxing. Love the attention to details, and the mint green of the bathroom. What a cutie dog, he also enjoys the home I see 😍
It is gorgeous...although, I wouldn't call it an A-frame house, but rather a house, with an A-frame feature. (The same way a house may have a vaulted great room, for instance.)
Very nice home. Would love to stay there. Although I wonder how the exposed wood will look in a couple years. It will turn grey and change the appearance of the house significantly, or am I wrong?
Beautiful concept. Though moisture will likely become an issue over the years. Without proper water drainage system and with such a low foundation you're asking for trouble.
@@RestlessLiving I actually watched because it is my dream to build a relatively small, zero-energy, passivhaus long house. I was looking for tips on harvesting rainwater and creating an airtight ‚envelope‘ etc. The house was beautiful but not exactly what I was looking for! 😂
The Chinese harp music is certainly the Japanese cherry on top. 😂 If you break the walls open of houses from decades or even centuries ago, the exposed lathe ribs can be found in Japan.. and Việt Nam, Korea, China, Laos, Britain, United States, Australia, New Zealand, etc. Same with verandas. Usually the walls get closed up though! The rafters aren’t set so close to the end of the roof eaves to avoid soaking in the rain. One of the most basic parts of Asian timber framed homes. It is a beautiful house, but they are definitely being extra with saying it is “Japanese,” or have simply made very “minimal” efforts to embody those principles.
It is something we are working on. But we want to ensure a great fit with both graphics, flow and narrative before implementing it in the episodes. Good things take time. 🙌🏼
@ludi7083 if you can do better do it. Politely request for floor plans rather than “thumbs down” like a spoilt brat. Thank you @RestlessLiving for the video
Ugh. Yeah, the concept is kinda nice, but it looks like a cheap shed. Also, no insulation, WAY too many glass fronts (How many birds die there per year?) and basically no purpuse besides looking nice. Also not sure how that counts as "Japanese".
such unique design and nestled in natural surroundings

Yeah, the dog absolutely loved to wander around. Who can blame? 😍
Great video! I wish I could have seen it when it rains
We tried to summon the weather god for a nice shot, but I guess he was busy that day. 😉

Absolutely stunning ❤
Ah Well done Marc, beautiful scale and considered materials...

Normally not a fan of a-frames but this is beautiful
Yeah, the approach of combining an A-frame and a longhouse definitely makes the project different and interesting!
looks beautiful, but. there is no gutter? And exposing unpainted woods to the elements?
Nice design but...I have serious doubts that this house meets the energy efficiency requirements.
its a summer house or vacation house, they aren't allowed to live there permanently by law...only a few months out of the year...
Beautiful concept. Though moisture will likely become an issue over the years. Without proper water drainage system and with such a low foundation you're asking for trouble.
Like animation
What is it about that structure requires 15 concrete pillers going nearly 50 feet into the ground?
The soil is soft due to the wetland, so the concrete piles ensure the house doesn’t end up in the lake.
Style over substance for me. I prefer practicality.
Totally fair!

considering danish climate you'll also have a lot of energie loss.
@@us2634 Indeed there will!
Pass. If I owned this house my dog would be on the roof all the time.
There’s nothing Japanese about this house.
The music?
@@jacobingram-dodd4108 the music is Chinese. lol. They couldn’t even get that right.

@@jacobingram-dodd4108 Not even that was Japanese 🤣🤣🤣
@@jws44444 My thoughts too lol
The house is beautiful. But the poor birds. So many glass surfaces.
Western ppl just can not tell the differences between traditional Japanese/Chinese music, lol.
You're using Chinese music haha
Det ligner en lade
A-frame oké
Flat-roof not oké
Bathroom feels out of place..
And once again: no floor plans. Why??? *ThumbsDown*
