I bought recently bought two falcon rods for swim jigs,I have to learn sweep that jig just touch the water, no hard splash, he lands that jig perfection, wow !
I have 3 dedicated setups for swimming a jig... a straight braid, straight fluorocarbon, and a finesse swim jig setup where I use a lighter braid or light braid to fluorocarbon leader and a lot softer of a rod. I love throwing a swim jig it's definitely an awesome bite right up there with topwater...

Nothing better than a fall swimjig bite. Sometimes I'll use a bitsy flip as a swim jig when they're picky.
