I grabbed the 6’1 and it goes like a dream - from mushy beach breaks to overhead, such a fun and versatile board 🤙
Ive had my dominator since 2009 and loved that board. Looking forward to getting one of these . I did get a Glazer and a Seaside , so I dont know where this would apply to my quiver . But love firewire boards . Thanks for sharing the video.

Glazer vs dominator? Which is better?
@@surfininmy40s dom2 it goes in more conditions and turns faster
Bought mine today! :) 5'8 gonna try as quad Performer L front Reactor quad rear M
Love that fin setup! Works good on all my boards! For similar futures, try P8 front with blackstix 80/20 rears 4.0" for narrow tails, or 4.15" for wider tails.
How did that setup go? And are you using the performance core or neoglass fins?
Strong boards, worth the money, but I snapped three of them he says. Noel Salas snapped one at the wave pool believe it or not. And they're charging near AUD$1200 for these in Australia. Really it's a hard sell. Helium goes yellow and obviously is not tough.
Yea I'm staying away with my 230lbs self.ill go custom from proctor
1000s of waves?
Yes :) Daily drivers.
I got a demo board like 2 months ago
and how does it surf??
@@ronaldroodhart9825 Hypto Krypto seem to handle larger surf no?
What rhe difference between d2
To spitfire?wavs range?
They are both now offered in Helium Construction. The Spitfire was basically same board as the OG Dominator but with a step tail rail & Diamond tail. Pretty sure the rocker and rails were the same.
The Dominator 2.0 has a slightly narrower nose, and a slight almost invisible bump squash tail a little narrower that the OG Dominator. Tbe D2 feels to have more medium rails than full rails lime the OG Dominator.
And the new Dom is $820 where the OG Dom is $785.
@@hanaleisurfcompany9312 thanks for the explain
Oh and wave range waist high up to double overhead.
@@hanaleisurfcompany9312 thx my friend
@@hanaleisurfcompany9312 I’ve got the 5’6” love it , I’ve surfed it in head high, you think it’ll hold in bigger waves ?
Will these yellow overtime? Or is it less compared to normal boards
Unless they have switched to a different resin, this epoxy will yellow. All resins will yellow, from my observation. We started ordering resin tinted boards from Firewire to avoid the yellowing look, but it of course costs more 😉
Dominator 2.0 or Hypto krypto?
Dominator all day.
Per cubic foot
This vs the glazer?
The guys I know who bought & tried both ended up selling their glazers...
@@hanaleisurfcompany9312 Ok cool yea the glazer seems so short it looks a little weird to ride. I am a little worried about the super light helium construction on those windy offshore days over here on oahu.
looks really flat rocker.
It looks really flat from the deck view, it's got ample curve though from the bottom view. Best way to hide volume :)
🤮🤙🏾
