    If I've learned anything from my 20 pluse years of card game experience, let your opponent attack their targets. They are banking on baiting you out to waste cards to try and protect them, 9 times out of 10 (which can be seen here) they have a out to it anyway if you defend it.

    For Hawkins, I think you return him to active only after he finishes the battle with another character, not when you announce the target that is a character. It's just a minor detail but it does affect cards like Uta from FILM Starter Deck.

    Hey, love the content. Are the tournaments B01 for OP overall? or are there B03?

    • @DPPChannel
      @DPPChannel  2 роки тому +3

      Hello thanks for enjoying the content! Yes tournaments for OP in Singapore are generally B01 due to how long a turn/game can take! Initially we were adopting the B03 but a game itself can take up to 50min already when left unattended. Hence, the general format for OP tournaments in Singapore is B01 for a much healthier format!

    Nice game! Kid is my favorite deck right now, but I do think Doflamingo is being undervalued in the meta overall. Not sure if it's one of the best decks, but it has a lot of cards with synergy. Kid is a tough matchup to beat, but I'd like to see how Doflamingo stands up against other decks.

      The issue with any blue deck rn is that there are no reliable way to kill the 8 cost kidd. Maybe mihawk but you will not be able to kill it outright this turn but at least you can return 1 blocker to the bottom of deck

      @@akhileshprayag3553 I played this match up with my friend the other day. He played the 7 Cost Kid and on my turn I played Mihawk. This happened twice in the same match, so I had two Mihawks one the field and he had no answer to them

    great video a lot of missplays but we are all learning. i wanted to ask why aren't you running the 8 cost kid in your deck?

    • @DPPChannel
      @DPPChannel  2 роки тому

      8 cost kid generally feels quite clunky and usually don’t have a good window to call down without it being easily answered by your opponent. However, the 8 cost kid is still a good card if you’re playing towards dropping solid 3 cost characters such as Okiku!

  • @RappingRain
    @RappingRain 2 роки тому

    The Kid deck needs 8 Cost Kid in it somewhere. It's so hard to answer, especially for Mono-Blue decks.

      Yeah, Mihawk is like... the only thing that can profitably attack into it, barring a SUPER late game Mr. 1 in a Croc deck.

    This was a chill video to watch but I gotta be honest for you there were tons of times in the video I couldn’t catch what you were saying because you spoke too fast and the music was on the same volume as you.

    why is in japan every tcg bo1 ??

    • @TFan9001
      @TFan9001 2 роки тому

      A lot of reasons, but most likely due to time, for both the tournament host and players, less games equals more matches so the event ends sooner. But I’m not sure DPP is Japan based.

    • @DPPChannel
      @DPPChannel  2 роки тому

      Hello! We adopted the B01 format mainly due to time! As what Thomas has mentioned, it’s mainly for events and players to end on time and is generally more healthier this way. We initially tried B03 when the game was introduced but was soon to realise how different it is from Digimon TCG where a single game of OP can easily take up to 50 minutes if left unattended. Hence, BO1 format is our go-to for now currently!

      I am sorry to hear that but however I have not given up on Digimon TCG yet. It is just that the local scene currently don't exactly have any access to the new set of EX-03 and are facing a BT-10 burnout. I do wish you all the best however and thanks for dropping the comment.
