POV: Fall Hike Around a Mountain Lake

- Join us on a beautiful fall day as we hike the loop around Clear Lake in the Oregon Cascades. Located along Hwy 126 about an hour east of Eugene, this popular resort destination draws a crowd every weekend. The resort is open year-round and features accommodations of cabins and yurts, as well as boat and kayak rentals. The lake is also the source of the McKenzie River, as the cold and clear blue waters emerge from underground rivers to form the lake and create a steady flow supplying the stunning wild river that eventually meets up with the Willamette near Eugene.

What a beautiful scenery and magnificent array of vibrant autumn colours. I watched that and had the sudden urge to make a cup of coco coco and toast marsh mellows after that i was so caught up in it. Thank you for this one.

I didn't realize clear had yurts now. It's a beautiful hike around the lake.
I stayed in one of the old cabins, but haven’t tried a yurt yet. They are a relatively new addition 🥰 I’ve done the hike several times, the fall was beautiful but hiking it in the winter was tops for the sheer beauty, peacefulness and solitude 🤗
