The setup of second girder joining the Mumbai Coastal Road & Bandra-Worli Sea Link

🎥🌉The second girder (Bow Arch String Girder) connecting the Mumbai Coastal Road and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link is installed successfully today.
✅ Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's ambitious Mumbai Coastal Road Project successfully installed a second large Bow Arch String Girder connecting the Mumbai Coastal Road and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in the early hours of today, 15th May 2024. The work began at 3 a.m. and was successfully completed at 6:07 a.m.
✅ It was challenging to install this second girder just 2.8 metres away from the first girder installed earlier. The work was carried out under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner & Administrator Shri. Bhushan Gagrani and Additional Municipal Commissioner (Eastern Suburbs) Dr. Amit Saini.
✅ Present on this occasion were Managing Director of Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Smt. Ashwini Bhide, Additional Municipal Commissioner (City) Dr. (Smt.) Ashwini Joshi, Deputy Municipal Commissioner (Special Engineering) Shri. Chakradhar Kandalkar, Chief Engineer (Mumbai Coastal Road Project) Shri. Girish Nikam, Deputy Chief Engineer Shri. Mantaiah Swami, President of HCC Shri. Ajit Gulabchand, along with officials, engineers, other staff of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project.
🛣️ The girders installed today were placed on the route from Nariman Point to Worli. Each girder weighs 2,500 metric tons and measures 143 meters in length, 31.7 meters in width, and 31 meters in height.
🛣️ After completing the remaining works, the next phase of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project will commence soon.
