More than little late though, but here's my humble suggestion: when you are in India next time, go to Sion and Matunga to try famous Samosas and south Indian Dishes. And to try Maharashtrian food, visit Dadar, Santacruz. And to try Gujarati food and Sweets, visit Ghatkopar.

best part of India is the breathtaking Himalayas in North, after that rich in culture South, diverse North East ind, beautiful western India and Central India. foreigners generally visit northern plains in India which is the roughest, toughest most populated, polluted and not so beautiful part of the country.
We cannot wait to go back see see some more of this beautiful country!

Hey bro.. being in Mumbai u didn't had nonveg food.. no doubt all those veg stuff that u had were great.. but this is Ramzan month and the whole Street of South Mumbai will be packed with nonveg street vendors and hotels.. the best food u would have ever had.. try it.. also try rural Maharashtra food by going into villages.. u would love it
This guide showed the more unique and cool stuff. Since the rest is very available and easy to find, we did it on our own.

More than little late though, but here's my humble suggestion: when you are in India next time, go to Sion and Matunga to try famous Samosas and south Indian Dishes. And to try Maharashtrian food, visit Dadar, Santacruz. And to try Gujarati food and Sweets, visit Ghatkopar.

When you are in Maharashtra then you should try maharashtrian food such as
Puran poli , Kolhapuri mutton , Solkadhi,
Aamras and Puri , Onion bhajji , Modak , and many more... And also find a tour guide who is of that state only...
We were just happy to try any delicious India dish :)

Now that's it's Ramazan it would be criminal if you do not visit Mohammad Ali street late evening after iftari. It's a carnivorous paradise. Try the aflatoon i forgot that shops name, try mava jalebi. Malpua, sandal the list is huge.jai Maharashtra,Jai hind.
