They really brought this show back from the grave for me. If I wasn’t a massive Star Wars fan I wouldn’t have continued watching after the third episode but I am honestly excited to see where this story goes. Good work cams corner

Sol was sorry, not sorry though. Great recap, your callouts make sense. Fight scene was great except the crouching dragon type FX. The bleed scene as awesome, but I thought " Ah, man so many other shows could have done this with more urgency". Plagueis pop-up .. he's creepy looking anyway, have we seen the cover of his book? Is he lurking cause he's always been lurking, or working with the coven and observing or did he just come upon them. The switch with the twins, not sure I'm liking that. I guess it must relate to the duality in their " being/essence", but unless they totally forcewash her brain, she'll be a Jedi with a huge propensity to fall.
Yeah i was wondering the same thing about Plageuis. How long has he been there? Is he Quimir’s master?

I really don't get why people keep getting upset that the jedi seem like the bad guys. They said back when they were teasing the show is supposed to be from the perspective of the sith. Of course the Jedi will be portrayed as bad and the sith as sympathetic.
Also, I appreciate that you actually said the good and bad of the episode instead of trashing everything like most people. The show is very flawed, but there are some solid things that if improved, could lead to an awesome season 2.
You don't get it? It's pretty obvious if you think about the big picture. Like you said, they alluded to the show being from the dark side perspective. Most love the movies from the good guys perspective. You really think enough people wanted this type of show to begin with? Sure it's interesting to get other angles but most are fine with how things were pre Disney. And I don't think you really watch any of those negative videos you talk about bc every one I've seen will give credit where it's due. Sure a few less than others but the people who do watch and enjoy the more critical ones are connecting with them bc this has been building for awhile now (in a lot of people's opinions) and most are sick of it. And NO, not bc of misogyny, sexism, racism or homophobic. We want great stories no matter who is in the lead. But think whatever. That seems to be everyone these days

So if you feel bummed out at the end of a series, you have a lot more questions than answers, and the budget is more than the mandalorian, Star wars episode 1, House of the dragon, I feel like you didn't do a very good job.
The fan base has to try to explain things for you. I think that's why people are mad. The concepts are good, but that doesn't show the product that you put out. If I gave you a concept of a yacht, but then the final yacht has a bunch of holes in it, would you still go on the boat?
Great idea terrible execution. There were some good parts but there were too many plot points that destroy themselves or take apart your own things you've established. My overall rating for this series is a 4 out of 10. The 4 for some cool concepts. But when you have a plot that just goes all over the place, hurts its own plot merely one episode later, it's just not the level of expectation fans have. If you like this show I think that's okay and you are entitled to your opinion. When I watch the mandalorian I've watched it three different times. I enjoyed myself and the characters. So far I don't think I will be going back to rewatching this. And I'm disappointed about that.

I'm not talking about whether the show was good or not, simply that it's wrong to assume people don't want this style of story.

I wasn't talking the quality of this show. Simply that people being surprised the Jedi are portrayed as bad is silly.
Overall I liked the show. I think there are clunky moments and too much was introduced with no answers. There also wasn’t much of a mystery, and I think it didn’t play out how it was billed: as a mystery or Sith-centric show. I was disappointed with the Plagueis reveal because I wanted more. I agree with your assessments.
Yeah I think we got a different show than what we were expecting. Maybe these things will come into play with a second season!
I liked how the series began as a detective show. I also liked the overall concept. I do think the series was rushed because each episode in an 8 episode season wasn't long to flesh the story out properly for us to know things we needed to know and to build the characters' journeys out on screen enough for certain payoffs to deliver a punch. I definitely want to see a season 2 and I'm tired of all the negative zombie talk this show has been taking. This was a refreshing peer into the Star Wars Universe. I don't want every series and movie to be built on the same Mad Libs layout. Most of these people upset with this show just want the same old cookie cutter stories we've seen till ad nauseum. And I also thought closing out episode 7 with Power of Two by Victoria Monet was super refreshing. It kinda had a James Bond feel to it. It brought something contemporary to it which I appreciated. It fit with this series.
This was definitely a new feel for star wars. Would definitely be interesting to see how they would tackle a season 2!

The Acolyte had some cool parts, other head scratching parts. But overall it was fine, 6-7/10 I was always engaged to see what happens next. I know the show is supposed to be focused on dark side users but was it really until the very last episode? Would a season 2 be better? Yes probably because the characters are already identified and we wont need flashbacks.
My question doesn't have much to do with the actual show. More with the choice to greenlight a "darkside" show in particular. Why would you want the main takeaway at the end of the season to be "the Jedi aren't necessarily the good guys and they are liars"? If youre Star Wars/Lucasfilm/Disney, why would you want that to deliver that message to a fanbase? You want the main protagonist to join the dark side and kill the Jedi that cared the most for them and wanted to save them? Just seems like it would be divisive before the show even airs.

Ach, fuck this... hate the "bleed the crystal" stuff, it is bullshit. Why is it happening, didn't happen to Anakin, and he was almost in the same situation with his mom even dying in his arms, why did his mood saber not turn red? because shit like this was not a thing, and should not... it is stupid. But like She-Hulk, she was "infinitely more angry than Anankin"... and Anakin did have a much longer exposure to the dark side. - What a complete waste of time and money.
And no, this Spaceship stuff should not get a lot of the budget, today it is pretty easy to create that. People in their homes do better animations or renderings than what is put into a big budget movie, and they do it in their spare time...
Look closer. The crystal was making contact with Osha’s skin. Anakin’s crystal was still contained within the hilt that's why it didn’t turn red. And it has already been established you have to physically touch a kyber crystal in order to enact the bleeding process.

@@MAXXWORXit’s not based on mood AT ALL! To bleed a crystal, you may first be in PHYSICAL contact with it. Second, you must poor all your rage and hatred into it. You know. EMOTIONS! It bleeds because of that. No moods!
I fully understand that there's an insurmountable amount of lore to digest in both legends and Disney. One can't know everything.
But bleeding of the crystal was pretty carefully detailed in this episode to match the lore, and not knowing it then complaining about it is a bit silly.
And then when you ARE educated there's no real answer beyond "i still don't like it even though it makes sense"
There's so many legit things to complain about this show and you choose one of the only things they did right...

The NEEEEED to be longer. More time with the characters = more connections!
House of the dragon has longer run times per episode, and a lower budget(120 million vs 180million). I wonder where all that money went? 🤔
