I haven't listened to his last album because I heard it wasn't very good with all the vocals etc.... did you like it? I might have to check it out... i dont mind this track so much. This sounds like classic tycho
@@AlexHerlan The tracks with vocals are still fantastic in their own right and Sinner did an awesome job, the thing is though... If you're the kind of person who just likes to dissolve into your music and let your mind and feelings drift along with it then the vocals are kind of distracting. In the past Tycho always had small, quiet vocals sprinkled in the background of songs, occasionally echoing or quietly speaking (Past is Prologue is a good album example of that), they were more a part of the music and mingled in perfectly. Adding full vocals however often overpowers the music and robs it of that depth we love the music for.
The first time I really listened to Tycho was when I took my first flight ever to live in Korea for a year. My new found family took a New Years Eve trip to Osaka, Japan. Wandering the streets, seeing everything for the first time, and marveling at the scenes of a dramatically different landscape through the frame of a railcar window was just the beginning. But I only had one album on my music player: Tycho's Dive. I played it over and over on the planes and trains. It wrapped all my incredible experiences together and now leaves me with a fond feeling of nostalgia for a time and place that I could never experience the same way again. Years later, when those beats and rhythms roll in, it takes me right back to Osaka and the memories therein.
That's beautiful how memories work that way. There is also a memory hack with colognes(smell), when traveling to a place you've never been before. Buy the local cologne and wear it through out the whole trip, then don't wear it for a long time. Then after a while when you put it on, memories of the trip will flood your memory.
Your comment reminded me of all of the new music, including Tycho, that I listened to while I lived in Thailand for a year. The music is the landscape. I can't ever forget it. Thanks for reminding me!
Wow! I still remember moments like this too! I remember flying above the Mediterranean Sea listening to Tycho and watching the small islands popping up between the clouds. Travelling to Austrian alps at night, seeing all those little lights shining in the background and falling asleep, while listening to Tycho. These are moments that stuck with me and bring so many memories.
One of the first times I listened to Tycho I was tripping on LSD and blasted off mid trip on DMT. Needless to say it glued Tychos essence to my soul 😂 something magical happened that night I’ll tell ya that :O
Somehow their music is never sad or happy, it just fits every mood, and it always sounds like it’s just trying to be good company for its listeners. No ego, just anonymous friendship. Just there to hang out with us :)
It's weird. Every time you release music it's at a point in my life things are changing and moving on. Ever since i was 14 when awake came out. I already loved dive as a 12 year old child. Now I'm 20. When weather came out i just lost a job that i was at for years and dedicated so much to. You said easy is the bridge to the future and it motivated me. Thank you. Now i just got out of a 2+ year relationship and it hurts but I'm moving a long and seeing a bright future ahead of me. Your music has been so inspiring and motivating to me life and again i would just like to say thank you so much.
Keep going on man, I'm in the same place, 21 years old, we're in the beginnings of our real lives , change is constant, adapt and overcome! you got this don't give up ! :)
Tycho has always been there for me since I became a fan in 2014. Tycho was there when I first fell in love, when my heart got broken, and when I found my true love. Your music has gotten me through good times and bad times. Thank you!
I’m so glad that you have a companion album Scott! Weather is already powerful enough and... these two together will create an even more powerful effect! I had a sense you had something up your sleeve. Keep up the great work as always!
This video just popped up right when I was stressing out about life’s big responsibilities and changes that about occur in my life in the next coming months. Just putting a burden on my shoulders and give me anxiety, but somehow Tycho knew that this is what I needed. Thank you.
Your music has affected my life in ways nothing else has. Every time I hear something new from you it feels like you made it just for me. You are amazing!
So happy to be the first comment. 👍. I LOVED meeting you in New haven Connecticut. Thankyou so much for stopping to talk and sign my phone It was one of the highlights of my youth ill never forget. Thankyou :)
I have always loved instrumental music. My kids don’t get it. Is it really that strange? Tycho is my favorite artist. His music takes me to new places every time I listen to it. It can literally bring me tears of joy over and over again. Recently I began listening to a group called Maximum Love. It’s synthwave but has the emotion that I crave and is rare like Tycho.
My kids surprisingly get it. Maybe they get it from me. I remember loving instrumental music so much when I was a child that I was ecstatic anytime a SNES game had the soundtrack in options. My wife doesn't get it. She hates Ulrich Schnauss. She disliked Tycho. We are separated now. Perhaps there is a woman out there that would get it?
Tycho is the soundtrack to every plane ride. It sounds like my own movie. This song especially. Can’t you see the clouds from the window? Or taking off with the sunrise? “Flight attendants please prepare for landing” with this song as the driving force.
Hold and keep your love for the music. It will heal you, salve your soul, make you whole. It is nearly the only portion of my being that keeps me somewhat sane. Path on and look for the beauty, in even the ugliest of times
This could be the most beautiful piece of music Scott has created in my opinion. Given his body of work, that’s saying something. I would absolutely pay extra to hear this played at the Feb 3 show... ♥️
The song title is stress but listening to it makes you lose your stress. So calm and relaxing! I never get tired of listening to this song (and other Tycho songs as well). My Tycho top 4 1. Weather 2. Stress 3. Daydream 4. A-Walk
Having listened to Tycho for the better part of a decade, this track to me represents everything that Tycho was, is, and will be - a perfect summation of the evolution his sound has seen but all the while preserving the character that has been present since the beginning. It blooms and flows through you, enveloping you in an array of melancholy that yet has a sense of hope and optimism for what is yet to come.
I will never get bored of Tycho. Hohokum introduced me to them, and since then, I've listened to them. I was first introduced when I was 8. It's been a long while now, and I hope Tycho will continue to make me happy for as long as they can.
0:57 ... I kinda feel like a weirdo, but ... the 'inhale' samples make me really happy. There are so many subtle ones in A Walk ... :) And I'm totally not into ASMR stuff, but ... Tycho has a lotta stuff on Past is Prologue that is kinda vaguely ASMR in a subtle chill way that's really amazing.
I love the inhale samples as well, especially the ones that echo. For me, the sound feels really refreshing like a breath of fresh air, and brings forth imagery of a warm sunny day with a cool breeze. It also seems like the samples sometimes are about to say something and then it stops, so my mind fills in the blanks with whatever imagery it wants.
This song makes me want to give stress a nice kiss on the cheek :) oh to be alive and well regardless of how I’m emotionally feeling 👽 thanks Tycho, I’ll be vibing to your music for eternity
Tycho just has an amazing propensity for leveling my mood. Whatever way my mood needs to my move, Tycho seems to move it to a more solid space. The music is truly like a Godsend for me, at times, especially now. Truly thoughtful and engaging material. Still subtly amazed with every listen.
This track gives me a lot of hopeful positive energy. Much like the 'older stuff' in science of patterns, past is prologue and dive. Having said that, still nothing comes close to those three albums for me.
You’re my absolutely number 1 artist. Thank you beyond words. The pure bliss I get from this dwarfs all antidepressants. You are a blessing in a world so cold. I love you all ❤️
Thank you! I needed this. I got a deadline coming up and every little thing stresses me out but after listening to this song, i am calm and clear again.
To the people who listen to this kind of music.. i love yall
canaisis ❤️
Thanks! Love is always welcomed these days...
And i love you
Ahh
I wish I can find people like you in real life, lol. All the best!
Tycho's music is like a good friend who never disappoints
I haven't listened to his last album because I heard it wasn't very good with all the vocals etc.... did you like it? I might have to check it out... i dont mind this track so much. This sounds like classic tycho

Try out Hello Meteor... the Mu & Mea album is super calming, but great music too.
Boards of Canada works for me too, Tycho rocks
Very ironic
I totally GET that! Cheers😃
This is the music of my people. You all are my people.

it is a conduit for emotion. It isn't here or there but it helps you get from here to there if you want it to
You encapsulated the feeling of their music perfectly. Well done.
"If it doesn't work the first time, don't stress don't stress"
"The first time..."

I can relate exactly to what you just said, but I’m 25.

Absolutely heavenly! This song is so healing. You never disappoint, Tycho🙌🏼
This is classic Tycho
This is the most relaxing song about stress I’ve listened to
Guy can come up with melodies. It is nice to see the entire band working together live as well. Would love to hear a live version of this.
Twin peaks vibes on that opening synth pad
exquisite, phenomenal, simply amazing, stunning melodies... music beyond imagination!!!!
Tycho has always been there for me since I became a fan in 2014.
Tycho was there when I first fell in love, when my heart got broken, and when I found my true love.
Your music has gotten me through good times and bad times. Thank you!
Happiness with a touch of sadness... Tycho`s music - something, that always supports me!
Thank you, my Friend!

waking up in the middle of the night taking care of my toddler, i wake up with this in head
One of my favorites to listen to while riding the mountains and deserts here in Arizona. Thanks Tycho
My ears say "Beautiful" and "Thank you"

I love the drum patterns in Tycho's music.

UTTERLY FANTASTIC.

this is much much better than the vocal version - awesome!!!
I think that one is no stress and this one is stress. Are they the same instrumental song? I am not sure.
Pancho Mulongeni yes thats true. two different songs...but brilliant :)

It honestly really awesome how they can take simple human behaviours and subtly merge them into music. ^^
I love the inhale samples as well, especially the ones that echo. I love listening to Tycho at the end of an Acid trip.
A circular reeducation is something else when peaking though.
I used to put all his albums in a playlist as it was kicking in. :) Tycho, Blackmill and Phaeleh are the musical Trinity of tripping
Pretty good after a bloody Mary, a Twisted Tea, and a few beers, too. Cheers All! Badass music
Can't wait for the new project its like a Christmas present im waiting on as a kid
