A Spoken Word Film - "I aint happy here..." (Modern Day Slavery)

This project was a collaboration between me and two high school friends, Usia and Kenyon. Usia is a very talented poet that gave me a whole book to sift through and decide which I wanted to shoot. After reading "I aint happy here..." (Modern Day Slavery), I immediately knew I wanted Kenyon to perform this because of his raw nature and gritty voice. A few months after shooting this video, Kenyon passed away. I've struggled to even touch the footage but finally put it together. This is dedicated to his memory. Rest in Peace Kenyon.
