Actually late 2006-early 2008 were very rough years for her voice. When warmed up in 2008 she still sounded pretty good. Her voice began to come back around late 2008. By Late 2008-2010 she was sounding great and healthy again. Listen to her sing Make it Happen in 2010. Or even I'll be there in Brazil.

She sounded so rested and clear. Her falsetto was very strange this era. It seemed a lot higher than it usually did. Hard to explain into words. She had so much fluidity here

My weakness is when Mariah sings this. This song is just so soulful and very comforting. It's one of my go-to songs when I feel sad and lonely.
