I only feel bad for the guys who wear full gear.
Horns work so much better than revving you have no idea where revving is coming from. And it dosent automatically tell you brain of impending danger like a horn. I hear it and just think people are playing.
Do you ride bikes yourself? I don't mean to antagonise you.
The horn on a bike is a small button on the left switch gear, you have to use the hand that operates the clutch aswell. Doing so while breaking is difficult, especially because the button's location changes depending on the brand. It sounds dumb but it's way easier to throttle up while braking and clutching than sounding the horn. At least that's why I think people do it. I usually just brake and honk afterwards.

I find it hilarious that when a biker sees a stopped vehicle or traffic their first instinct isn't to slow down but to maintain speed and whip around the vehicle/traffic.......... oh, and then are surprised if they hit something.
if its winter, and you crash due to traction, that's a prime example of natural selection.

It's funny how some motorcycle riders are opposed to ABS but it's quite obvious that some of these accidents in the video could have been avoided if the bike had ABS. ABS could have prevented the rider from locking the brakes at 6:42 and at 8:00, the rider locked up his brakes, let off the brakes slightly to stop skidding but then the rider rams the car. If that rider had ABS, he could have just jammed on both brakes and would have probably able to avoid that accident.
You cannot steer like that while braking, abs or not... plus braking equals minus steering... Either way he had to let go of that brake to steer away from the impact. I do not know how abs feel on a bike, but if its anything like the feeling of a car, no way do i want that. I need to feel exactly what my front is doing. For a new rider abs would likely be beneficial but to a seasoned rider like myself, it would become a cripple to my riding since I've invested the time to understand my control options during an emergency...

In this video, ua-cam.com/video/q6hoslMf36I/v-deo.html the rider was going about 70mph when he had to jam on the brakes and slows all the way down to about 35mph while going around a curve. If the bike didn't have ABS, the front wheel would most likely have locked up and the rider would have falled down.
And in this video, ua-cam.com/video/tLdlc1UJHuM/v-deo.html at the 0:46 second mark, the rider jams on the brakes to avoid hitting an animal. If the bike didn't have ABS, the rider probably have locked up the brakes and been tossed off the bike.
Just type in "Motorcycle ABS saved my life" in the UA-cam search bar and you'll see more actual riding video of how ABS had saved so many people from either, crashing, falling down or dying.

This is a typical UA-cam motorcycle video(s).
It nearly always begins with a motorcycle rider who thinks that someone in a car or truck has done some kind of injustice to them. And of course most of the time they are not wearing protective riding gear. They persist instead of backing off. They yell about how everything is being video recorded. >Which always records the stupid move(s) the motorcycle rider made.< They take on a vehicle that is 10 times heavier than the motorcycle in a big display of bravado and massive egotism.
Do they start by asking themselves what they did, what could they have done differently and smarter, was I speeding, was I in the correct lane position, was I visible, was I following too close? Was I fully 360 degrees aware?
The fact that someone video records their ride may indicate that they are out to prove something. They have a crappy attitude when they ride and a lousy mindset along with poor safety riding skills. They pretend to be a traffic cop and try to lecture car drivers about all the things they have done wrong to the motorcycle rider. And the video recording will somehow negate their responsibility as to what happened in the video. >> Oh look at poor me see what that car driver did to me! I recorded everything which makes me clear of all responsibility and blame.
Actually, a green light stands up in court. So if you live to tell the officer then you are good to go
