Those blossoms are sakura. They're a later-blooming, double variety. There is a range of blossoms which bloom from late March to early May. The earlier single ones (often Yoshino) are the ones most celebrated. LIVE JAPAN has an article on 10 types which is a great reference livejapan.com/en/article-a0001031/

I have been working still as an essential worker in the US but I’m glad to have some more time to relax and put/find to other things I put on hold.
I have been studying Japanese on my own for a couple of months and want to travel to Japan one day and seeing your videos inspire me to get there and travel wen the pandemic settles down.
I also want to travel other places and learn more languages not just to help more on my future career (getting to the music buisness) but be exposed to beauty of the culture and countries I yet to know.
Being in the US with all that’s been going on has been tired emotionally but I shouldn’t let that stop me to use the time I have now to progress on my goals. I’m saving money for a car but also hope to go back to Grad school for music and focusing on that.
Great seeing a young woman like myself and seeing your story at the other side of the world and know I’m not the only one feeling insane being inside when I’m not at work.

Question: What's the little animation on your TV monitor at 19:46? Also, How much are those kinds of homes in the magazine? About $500K - $1Mil USD? Maybe $300K+ if out in the suburbs away from a big city? A good option may be to purchase an older traditional house (if such a thing is possible to come by in the Tokyo metro area or prefecture. I'm sure developers want to scoop them up and demolish them), then remodel it over time to make some areas, like the kitchen or bathroom, modern. Then you'll have modern with a more traditional feel for a lower price. Also, when you're on Pinterest, search "tiny balconies". There is lots of great small balcony inspo under that tag to inspire you to make your balcony as lux or cozy as you want. Also, if you're not already on Roomclip (app) you can create a profile on there and even if you don't post pics of your own space, you can create multiple folders (some of mine are 'kitchen' 'color pallet' 'zen' 'cozy space' 'furniture', etc.) and save pics from other people's homes for inspo for your own. There are a lot of traditional style with modern interior elements on Roomclip. Also, you guys should be wearing masks! Lol. At least bring them with you, even on solo adventures in case you encounter someone - you're probably doing that now though. Hope all is well still (3 months later). Cheers!

1:51 The message is nice... but it is simply not true at all.
Sometimes, people are too poor to afford a certain school, are discriminated against too much for them to achieve what they would have wanted, sometimes they simply don't have the physical capacities that their dream job requires.
If you can't afford school, even if you try your hardest, you will have less opportunities of being the next Jeff Bezos than if your parents can afford all the books, classes, courses, private teachers and loans you need.
If you are a black muslim woman in the US, becoming president will be more difficult than if you're a white christian male.
If you have very poor eyesight, chances are you won't be able to make a living piloting fighter jets.
I'm not saying it is impossible, far from it.
But "where there's a will, there's a way" was invented by priviledged people to justify their situation and never address the fact that they had it easier than others. (Not saying they had it easy. It was difficult for them. Just saying it wasn't as difficult as if they came from a different background)

    • @KellyMorita
      @KellyMorita  4 роки тому +34

That is 100% not true. Do you know how many amazing icons in our lifetime have started from nothing?? Look it up and you'll be surprised. They told Beethoven he could never play music and guess what...they said we will never have a black president and we did.... If you talk to yourself as if you're broke all the time and you'll never achieve your dreams because of this, this, and that, then yes, you're right. It's impossible. I started from 0. no money, no motivation. I told myself that every day. My parents weren't and still aren't rich and I still found ways to move to this country because I knew I could do it if I searched for options and ways. Be kind to yourself.

As always very enjoyable. How does it feel to have been kawii all your life? LOL . Beginning to think you have been smart all your life also. Very good advice and motivation. I would add one thing. That is keep a childlike feeling no matter what. Balance that with the adult things and adult dreams. But you absolutely do this. Evidence by the fact that with the drawers you told
Ryuji you were "not a child"; yet when you saw the hill you wanted to roll down it like a 5 year old. LOL. Blessings and Peace.

Some of these house in the book your looking at, look more like British houses and not every house in the UK has a garage. Some do some don't.

Hey Kelly! Amazing vid as always :) I wanted to ask you about teaching in Japan, specifically: do you have to be a citizen from an english speaking country to be able to get a job? Do you know any teacher in Japan that wasn't from an english speaking country? Thanku so much

I don´t know why... maybe it just takes some getting used to, but I don´t like the outside of the houses you showed us. It´s probably the foam bricks. Love the inside though

This just reminded me how I was supposed to work on creating a schedule for myself since I no longer have any structure to my life after being laid off, haha. Whoops.
