Adventure Bob & Company These Hiawatha National Forest Adventures we’re inspired by YOU! Thank you so much for sharing the Au Train Falls and more on your adventurous channel Bob! I want to return this summer. Any campground recommendations and other must see places?
Absolutely stunning scenery! Can’t believe you saw all of that in just 2 days! Princess is the cutest little hiker! Great camera work and editing! Thanks for taking us along with you, Randi!
Alison Kusaba Hi Alison! The Hiawatha National Forest had some of the most spectacular scenery I have ever seen! Princess is such a great hiker. She loves being outside as much as I do! 🐶
KelleyTexas Hi Kelley! Oh... a Raven. He sure was talkative! Thanks for letting me know Kelley. I hope you get the chance to visit the Upper Peninsula... so gorgeous!
Hillbillyjeeper WV HI! Me too! Every time I find one I am blown away and on this trip I got to see two. You need to visit the Hiawatha National Forest.
RV DOG The Hiawatha National Forest and Upper Peninsula on Lake Superior is a must see for everyone! I hope you get the chance to visit the area sometime!
Great Video, Randi! (and Tom and Princess). You sure know how to make the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan look good. I love the west side of the UP and have spent a lot of time there. My mom is from there so have taken a lot of vacations up there. It is amazing how many things you can see in a short amount of time. And so many waterfalls up there! Thank You for the Trip!
GetNNRV [aka Mary] Wouldn’t it be great to circle Lake Superior and make stops when you find beautiful areas? I guess you’d need a lot of time! Someday!
Randi, beautiful!! You did such a great job on this video. I want to go to all of those places! I'm sure we will someday. I agree with Ariane, every time I watch you in a video, you totally make me smile 😁💕 -Carla
Oh Gosh! My favorite so far, Randi! Great editing showing the stops on the maps - and you gave those Keens a workout, too!! Beautiful scenery and places to camp, I had no idea what Northern Michigan terrain was like - I take it you would definitely go back when you could spend more time...? Thanks for another beautiful hike! Safe and happy travels m'lady , love to Tom & Princy (uh, no campfire shots? you know I live for those 😂) ~ 💜
Stacey Forrest Hi my friend! This is where I stopped on my way to the UA-cam Creator Summit in Indiana. I can’t wait to go back. Put it in your must see places too... better yet let’s meet up there! I am loving my Keens! They are perfect for hiking and exploring. Take care!
Just found your channel and joined team Randi's Adventures. I am from Michigan and love the U.P. so I loved this video! I will check out more of your videos.
Kamper 2020 Hi Kamper 2020! The Upper Peninsula is one of my favorite camping getaways EVER! Everywhere I turned I was saying... Oh my gosh! What a beautiful place and I can’t wait to return. Since you are from Michigan any recommendations?!?!
@@RandisAdventures In my opinion, your visit to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is #1 in the State of Michigan for hiking, paddling and general exploring. Now, if you want to look for amazing rocks and still have fun hiking, exploring and history...check out White Fish Point, near Paradise Michigan. It is the home of the Great Lake Ship Wreck Museum.
Geek Family Adventures Hi in Ohio from Minnesota! I can’t wait to go back. What is your favorite are in the Upper Peninsula? Where should I spend time next time I go back?
We love Mackinac Island, Sault Ste Marie area, Tahquamenan Falls, and all the places you listed! You should take the picture rocks and the shipwreck boat rides. I love vibe there. The slow pace and all the mom and pop restaurants, shops etc.
Between Au Train falls and the beach is Au Train Lake which has a pretty nice NF campground. Lots of folks kayak down the river. Sand Point (just west of Miner's Castle as the crow flies) is a pretty nice beach as well. Munising Falls is on the way.
Wonderful water. As a resident of Florida, and a State attached to water, I'm ashamed. My condo development backs onto the South Fork of the St. Lucie River. It is a water that has been ruined over years of Lake Okechobee spill off. I guess we need decades of deep snow.
Yeah, everybody is fine. A guy ran a stop sign and we t-boned him. Thankfully, it was the passenger side of his car. We are currently looking for a new camping truck.
Miners Castle has trees and weeds growing onto it. I got to be there years before all the man made additions. I have pictures of myself on top Miners Castle. Did you visit Laughing Whitefish falls?
michael vrooman That’s super awesome Michael! I haven’t heard of Laughing Whitefish Falls. Should I check it out next time I am in the Hiawatha National Forest?
@@RandisAdventures yes. It is on HWY 94 north of Sundell. It is a 2-3 hundred foot waterfall on the Whitefish river in an old growth forest area. Absolutely huge white pine and Hemlock trees. Takes 4 - 5 adults to wrap arms around them. Much akin to the California Redwood trees.some of the last untouched old growth forest in the U.P. Awesome ice caves in the winter if you are brave enough to hike into the falls. The Eben ice caves are also pretty awesome.
Hi Mary! Yes, we did take the Little Guy Max! We stayed at the Bay Furnace Campground which is located in the Hiawatha National Forest and everything thing we did is within 15 miles of the campground. I highly recommend the campground. And you must put this on your list of must see places!
@@RandisAdventures Thanks! Picked up a 2020 road atlas today and starting to plan our own adventures. I'll definitely put Hiawatha National Forest and Bay Furnace Campground on the list.

We were going to go to Copper Harbor through Bayfield in Sept, but had to cancel due to a car accident and camping truck got totaled. 😢

Hundreds of years?
