Its safe to assume most cards were lower in price before the covid era so its no surprise cards went up in price.. I would like to see a video of the best gains post covid era.
just graded that sabrina's gengar last year and also sold it quite recently for 3633$. Mine was the numer 95 or 96 in a 10 so I guess a couple more got added but yeah so that's nearly a 1000%. Plus, it was my childhood card so even better. Basically made everything back my mom may have ever spent for me on pokemon back then lol
Fun Story: I Sold my psa 9 (T-17) Typhlosion for $5200 in October of 2020 after having multiple people make 4k offers on it🎉 Just thought Id share that sales data. bought the raw card for $275 and even told the guy that he was making a bad trade when I bought it.
When you look back at the sales date for like 2018 or before you can see people didn't value the Nintendo EX era cards at all. I saw one of the deoxys ex cards selling for like 90 bucks for a psa 10 in 2017 crazy. The only cards I noticed that were noticeably expensive back then were like some of the high end gold stars like rayquaza which was still worth over $7000 in a 10 and of course 1st edition charizard etc.
@@Epic.Eliminations I can see them slightly increasing in value over time. However not as high as these percentages just because the population report on alternate art graded cards is much higher.
Only thing I would say is that the grading has gotten a lot harder now days to get 10s and I will see older certs that look like 9s, but some people just buy that label even if it’s not super clean .
Man back in 2019 I remembered raw price were cheap. I remembered I had 2 lot I wanted to buy from Mercari. 1st lot include gold star charizard, crystal lugia and some bangers for $300+ and 2nd lot has 1st ed lugia from neo, shining celebi and other bangers for $300+ also. Oh and I remebered a lot includes 2 base and 2 shadowless charizard and tons of wotch for less than $1k. Take me back then pls. 😅

Great video. Love the look back comparisons.
I wonder where does the shadowless chansey or the 1st edition stand from this list? 🤔

Nowadays alt art psa 10s go for what these super rare cards did prior to 2020.
Do you think these modern alts will follow suit or drop down?

Like I mentioned to people who I talk to. Pre Covid everything was so cheap. The Pokemon market is doing really well even after the dip.
Epic video TTP! That Latias rise is insane! P.S. Did you sell/rip your Metazoo stuff (except for the 1 booster box)?
Mid week upload! What a treat! Thanks man

I bought dozens of cards under 100 and sold over 2k. 2018/19 was a fantastic time to buy.
I wish Pokemon would make a new legendary collection set that would be awesome 🎉
Ummm Sabrina’s Gengar Is From Gym Challenge
Gengar sale is cool but dragonite had a $5200 sale last week 😎
