I got one of these and I used it for my gym/on the go makeup. It lasted me longer then 2 months. For me it was nice to downsize my makeup. But I also don’t do full glam a lot. :)
That's good to know!! Yes, I think it's great for those who really do simple routines especially when on the go. I rarely do full glam if I'm traveling.
Haven’t finished the video but I can say I love all the products, a lot. Most eyeshadows crease and wear off, concealers settle into fine lines, I end up looking like I don’t have any makeup on by the end of the day. I’m currently in DC, it’s around 100 degrees, 100% humidity, in high stress environments with little sleep. This makeup doesn’t budge, nothing is settling or slipping. It looks just as good as midnight as it did at 9 am. I’ve been very, very impressed. Also important, I’m not breaking out. The lipstick/blush combo does feel really good and has serious staying power. I love the powder, like I can’t say enough. I don’t think this review does these products justice. FYI-I did not use primer on my face or eyes and had no creasing and no issue with the pans falling out.
I love my subtl stack for travel. Its definitely not for every day use. I travel a lot and TSA is a whole headache and a half. I would recommend for Travelers, especially if you fly. You can keep it in your backpack or carry on, It does not need to go to the liquid check. Its especially good if you're going to a hot country.
I like mine for travel. And for the confused people- it doesn’t expire in two months, it’s supposed to last 2 months with daily use. I like to experiment and not commit to one brand so it will last me longer
Thanks for affirming! I built a go-to makeup bag for days I don’t have time to get ready before heading out and it takes so much space. I’d love just to have this all in one place
Not a minimalist so this stack would be uninspiring for me, personally but I can see why this would be advantageous for those who are/ or are traveling- it’s an easy one and go 💛
Thanks for the very thorough review! I think I'll skip these. I'm not sure they are special enough for the price. Plus it was quite alarming that the packaging wouldn't stay together! Especially considering how little time you've had these!
Love Subtl beauty! GREAT for traveling and having everything in a small kit. I love it and also MOB Beauty for easy on the go looks. I have several colors of a few of the products and can create many color looks. You look great in it!
Personally, I LOVE it !!! I recently took this on vacation....a cruise and a week in Florida. In a rush while getting out the door, I left my "hanging" make up bag hanging, and having thrown this into my back pack in my "touch - up" make up baggie, this was all I had. I have to say, I am impressed !! The concealer (foundation) stayed on, it wasnt cakey and didnt accent my lunes and wrinkles...the shadow stayed on, and the lip and cheek (while needing a touch up here and there ) looked gorgeous !! Im a fan !!
I would totally use this! Id love to find a brand that i like that will allow me to get rid of all my bulky products and just use one simple stack that could travel anywhere with me.
Thank you so much for your review. The concept is great - but the products need to be improved before I make a purchase. You saved me time! Maybe the formulas will be improved, reviewed and we will all be placing an order!
I was not a fan for the price when I tried it. The Morphe 2 Quad Goals are my favorite multi-tasking palette for travel. I just bring a Messha cushion foundation and a brush or two and I’m good to go.
I’m going to be traveling through Europe in September and will have very limited space to bring a bunch of makeup- and I’m a makeup lover! I’m going to try this product prior to traveling-
I got it for travel Only , (it cost me 56 dollars with a discount code ) , As a backup for when I travel to put in my carry on , in case luggage gets lost ( happened more than once ) . If it’s not good I won’t buy it again. I would use some moisturizer under it .thanks for the honest review.
I love my stack! It’s not for glamming it up to paint the town red but it’s so useful for after the gym or running errands. The bronzer in latte would have been perfect for your skin tone. This stack is perfect for the subtle make up look. Ppl always ask, “is that your skin or make up?” 😅 well… maybe a little bit of both😊
I used this while I was on vacation and I use it as needed before job #2. I absolutely love it. I add a tinted moisturizer only. I just watched this video again, and I do think that it is worth having for my minimalist makeup. I do LOVE LOVE LOVE the lip color that you used. What is the name of it because I would love to get it.
Nope! I think the price is still too high and this seems a little too gimmicky for me. There will always be a need for additional products as well. Hard pass for me.
@@stephaniechavira2924"we're Subtl (but don't let the name fool you)" is the first thing you see on the about us page. nowhere does it say being dedicated to natural looking makeup, just that she was inspired to make this because travelling with makeup was hard for her. it's the packaging that's supposed to be subtle, "my just-in-case bag turned into an overflowing not-so-subtle bag. And that was my big a-ha."
tbh the gimmick really got me and i wanted to order some so bad, but it's more than i'm willing to shell out for eyeshadows that don't call out to me. i did end up ordering the dry brush cleaner tho, and the stack honestly seems so large for just 1 layer, a lid, and bottom. it's not all that "subtle" lol
I would love a swatch video about the Moira lip colors! I've never heard of it, and that natural shade looked gorgeous on you. I love playing with lip colors, so new stuff that people love and recommend is always a treat. What are your favorites from that line? :)
The neutrals from the line are definitely my fave for every day application, even without wearing makeup I just love the effect -- "Natural Look" is definitely my most worn!
Hi, I am currently using the 24hr concealer from MAC and it's not "caky" it's very light. Do you think the subtl beauty concealer is thicker ? I am wearing very light make up and I am not sure if I will like the concealer. What do you think?
@slashedbeauty I'm just nervous. I spent $150 and see so many, "not worth it" reviews. Not sure what to really expect. But your video convinced me it's worth a try. I appreciate what you do.
I'm gonna need you to contact customer service about that stack! I laughed when it fell out I'm so sorry 😂 This is way too expensive and not for me. Morphe 2 had stacks that are like $16 i I think and you get like 4 products for eyes, lips and cheeks too. These formulas and packacking need to be way better if they are gonna charge these prices.
Thank you for your honest review, but I don’t think this is for me especially when it expires in two months it’s not worth the money at all but thank you anyways and happy holidays and everyone. Please be safe out there.❤❤
I like the concept but I bought a lot of 1.0 version. I liked the concealer choices, the lip balms, the bronzers. However, most of my eyeshadows broke just after a couple of weeks, which is an expensive loss. As I mentioned, I like the “stack” concept but a person still has to carry eye lash curlers, eyeliner, and brushes so overall so it doesn’t feel like it changes my makeup bag size too much.
@@irish7988 I like that idea but I have a hard time with eyeliner, even shadow, lasting for me for any length of time. .I have even tried cake liners but I get the same result. I need to use a waterproof fine liner pen so this would be an extra carry item for me in addition to the stack.
I love the subtle stack for travel and gym. I’ve gone on two major trips recently (5 and 10 days) and used my drmtlgy (sp?) tinted sunscreen as my base and this concealer which is also a perfect shade match for me (04N). I feel like it looks great on my 60 year old skin (which looks much younger) and I only had to supplement with a few things (brows, mascara) I don’t find the lip and cheek opaque enough for lips so I bring separate lip products. But it’s still better than when I had to check my bag in Vienna last year because the TSA lady wanted to steal my foundation because I had too many liquids. I don’t really need foundation TBH. I think this makeup looks great on you!! Give it a chance! You’ll see if you take it on a trip how much you enjoy not schlepping a ton of products.
I feel like you didn’t take the name into consideration or know nothing about her brand and why she created it. I’m sorry but it’s literally the name of the brand Subtl. When you want it to be Subtl you don’t want a brow product or extra foundation lol. It’s just a little something. This product isn’t for the heavy makeup individuals.
I mention in the first 30 seconds that the brand is all about a minimalistic approach to makeup, so that was taken into consideration, but so were *my* makeup preferences and whether or not it'd work for me, at least as a travel product! I still said at the end that even with the extras I used, it definitely cuts down on space needed. Also, in case you missed it, I mention that I guess a foundation would end up being similar to the concealer anyway so I get why they don't have one. I think "subtle" is a subjective term so everyone's going to have their own preferences on whether they want to wear eyeshadow without a brow gel etc.
I got one of these and I used it for my gym/on the go makeup. It lasted me longer then 2 months. For me it was nice to downsize my makeup. But I also don’t do full glam a lot. :)

If you wet the brush the brown you used for eyeliner should go on darker

Ooh very similar! Maybe even more melty!

Do they come with lids? If you want to change them out and only want to carry 3 and not 5... will there be a lod for the top one?
As long as you buy it from the "build a custom stak" page and not the "refill page," it will come with the mirror lid even if you only buy 1-2.
@slashedbeauty okay, shipping is taking forever, so I don't know what to expect.
