You read my mind. I’m pretty sure I got most of the kinks worked out of that launcher this past summer and cannot wait to try it in a few different locations. That being one. I’ve never fished that way so I’m excited to see what it produces. Thank you for the information.
I made the same cannon...i used a bicycle pump that had a gauge that read 220psi... only took less than a minute to pump up to 190psi... launched a lot farther too
That’s fun ... I keep my PSI at 110 seeing as you essentially made a pipe bomb and if everything isn’t absolutely secure, pushing it to the limits might land you in the hospital instead of a big fish. You don’t need to shoot these things to the moon to catch a ton of fish. Stay safe.
Thanks man. I really appreciate the support. I hope to roll out some good content here over the next few weeks now that I am back to getting some free time and new toys.
@@907shots9 hell yeah. Me to man. You going to target K. Beach or you heading out by the platform?? I'm getting my gear ready ass well I have yet to ever bring in a Halibut from shore.
I am honestly just doing the shotgun approach. I am thinking somewhere close to clam gulch but this shore fishing is all new to me so I am just trying to figure it out.
It was a gallant effort!
I appreciate that. Eventually my luck will have to turn. In the mean time I need to build another launcher since I blew the last one up 😬
Take that thing to Kasilof in mid to late april, the hooligan are running and you can pickup nice sized halibut off the beach

Can’t wait tell you catch one!
You and me both. Should be getting into them in about a week.
Did you make a video of the bait cannon build?
No I did not. I made it from this DIY video. Hope that helps.

Damn. Just seen this. Ok what's the update?? Catch anything yet worth eating? Lol
Negative. Just Irish Lords but that will all change in May I hope. Going to target some Halibut!

Gotta try that at whiskey gultch!
Yeah I have a few locations I want to send it off of for sure.
Problem with whiskey gulch is you will need a much bigger charge to launch the 3lb weight you will need.
Nice cannon! Where do you get your bait cannon? Looking to get one
Made it from a video I found here on UA-cam
How far does that spud gun fly? Cool idea!
I only ranged it one time but it was at 147 yards so around 400 feet is how far that shot went and that was with 100psi.
