Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to uncover how to build a marimba try Corbandy Simple Instrument Crusher (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got amazing results with it.

Daniel Mammen Check out Andrew Huang's video "THE FINAL COUNTDOWN - PERCUSSION ONLY". It's not exclusively pvc pipe music, but I think you might enjoy it!
+Daniel Mammen yeh it is marvolous. interesting points ,if anyone else needs to find out about try Jaffacter Instrument Builder Coach (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my partner got excellent results with it.
Are the paddles plastic? There's a *slap* sound that sounds like hard plastic on plastic on the attack of each tone. You know those silicone rubber pads you can buy to put pots on on a table? Cut out paddle shaped slices of those and glue them to a set of your paddles. The softer material should eliminate the slap and provide a better seal upon impact. Maybe increase the volume of the resulting sound.
Kevin Loughin it is not plastic on PVC, the plastic is mainly to provide the body of each paddle. Closed Cell Foam Rubber is glued onto the Corrugated Plastic to actually be hit against the pipe.
A thumbs up/ like cannot possibly describe the profound feeling you've given me. I love human innovation! You are quite a performer in the talent show version, and thank you for the engineers and musicians for the newer vantage point. Excellently done!
Well, the person who constructed the instrument and plays it in the video is a talented percussionist. If you know much about percussion instruments that aren't drums, you might know that marimba and xylophone (often referred to as "mallet instruments") are laid out exactly like a piano, because that design is terrifically convenient and easy to understand. I've been playing percussion for about ten years, and so even though I can't play piano at all, I know the layout by heart.
This is an instrument inspired by a piano, you can see it on the model and compare it to a piano already, the awesome thing its you have a new kind of piano right here
This is just fucking awesome. The kid made the thing himself. I actually stop what I was doing, sat down and watched this kid play and it's just awesome
+jcdude1585 Sweet! Send me a video when you're finished. I'd love to check it out! This set of RimbaTubes ranges from A1-E4, but I've since added additional pipes up to a G4.
Very great video... You performed some of my favourite songs (Crazy Train, He's a Pirate, Viva la Vida, The Final Countdown...) and it was amazing to stand in front of my monitor tasting this fantasting sounds!!! Congratulations!!!
Seeing he named his instrument "Rimbatubes" it's more likely he got inspiration from a marimba (or a xylophone) than a piano. But both instruments do indeed have the same layout.
For all the people who want to skip to each part without guessing, here are the times. Office Theme: 0:00 Linus and Lucy: 0:24 Turkish March: 1:00 Mario Bros. Theme: 1:14 In the Hall of the Mountain King: 1:40 Bad Romance: 1:52 Viva La Vida: 2:34 Like a Virgin: 2:46 Crazy Train: 3:06 James Bond Theme: 3:40 Pirates of the Caribbean: 4:00 Final Countdown (Guy who comes in is Quin i believe, if you look at the original) But anyway, the time: 4:21 Just let me say, snubby, you sir are an awesome guy.
How is it cheating? I don't think he can play 4 notes at the same time.... you need 2 people for that. Same on all of his other vids, someone else comes and plays with snubby j.
Janbay Hatukay wow that was a good one. I was pointing out how you took what I said a little too literal. It was meant to be a joke and from what you said it sounds like you didn't ketch that.
Spencer Hewitt Why? People thought it was funny judging by the +4 I got. If it's not your style of a joke then ignore it. Why are you telling people what is funny or not, or what to say or not for that matter.
Man, I have a lot of respect for you. This is absolutely BRILLIANT. I personally doubt I could ever think of doing something this cool! I mean an instrument from PVC. That's crazy man! But wow! Have you thought about making these for sale or something? I'm pretty sure a lot of people would love one of these!
As someone that does not play music I'm kind of amazed at how much this looks like typing. I wonder if a person could learn to play an instrument like this in a similar way to how one learns to type.
im kinda glad you did, dont get me wrong i dont hate the original just not too keen on a high pitched "woooooooooooooo" maxing out my headphones. at each tune
For several reasons I didn't include it, but the main reason is very complicated to explain... To sum up a long story short, I cut it for the possibility of using this higher quality studio recording to upload to iTunes while keeping the cost of copyright royalties down. However, plans changed so I recorded myself from an overhead view playing along with the track and uploaded it in celebration of the one year anniversary of the original DRS Talent show video posting instead.
I personally haven't created sheet music for my medley, but a fan of mine transcribed it and posted it on UA-cam as "PVC Instrument, DRS Talent Show Sheet Music". It's about 99% accurate, so I suggest you check it out ;-)
I love this! Thanks for the high quality version. I was wondering how you were going to pull off the ending of "The Final Countdown" like you did in the other video. That was brilliant. I did notice one difference, at the very ending phrase of last song, some of the syncopated flourishes that you had in the original were not in this one. Doesn't detract at all from your awesome performance though. Good on ya mate!
So great to hear this without the backround people
They *were* annoying weren’t they
You mean an audience?
Yup

I want to sound to be crisper...THEN I REMEMBER ITS A PVC PIPE LIKE WHAT THE SOUND IS AWESOME
This man is most likely the single most talented person on the planet
So if I'm lost in the jungle, I can do with bamboo an instrument like this, may be someone listen to me and they can help me
No matter how many times I watch this, it STILL blows my mind. Impressive.
Are the paddles plastic? There's a *slap* sound that sounds like hard plastic on plastic on the attack of each tone.

he uses foam pads
he probably got them from a sex store lol
Not funny
yeah but i like that sound. It's not supposed to be too soft.
Dude you just made my day! You tuned me with every tune you chose, great sequence and great performance... great instrument too!!!!
What happened to harder better faster stronger?
Eggthan324 itdhsf$
Eggthan324 omg stop plz our dirty minds are visualizing things we can't unsee
It's a fucking joke
Love your version of crazy train!
did you build this?!?!? THATS AWESOME!! *subscribed*
I love seeing it from this angle cause you can easily follow the specific notes (assuming you know how a piano or mallet instrument is layed out)
Great video and very nice instrument.
this is better than the other video..no screaming girls in the background next to the video mic. wonderfully done
170 people got their head stuck in a pipe when they were kids.

Nope 304.

What im seeing right here before my eyes is *pure tallent*
I love the audio placement in the video. Both sides correspond to a different side of the instrument. Nice work.
He should go try at American got talent!
I agree !!
+Cthulhu Gamer (Jared) results?
Agreed
He went a couple of years ago I think
Well, the person who constructed the instrument and plays it in the video is a talented percussionist. it's fucking 4am and I have work in 3 hours. haven't slept a lick. butternut squash
I seen this posted on Facebook and had to check it out. Dude this is awesome. When you pulled Ozzy out, my mind was blown
but... is like a piano... better than a piano
DUDE a piano isn't the only instrument like this there is a whole section in band that have these types of instruments (it's called percussion)
Josiah Bandy ^
Wow! super talented, I loved how you did the final countdown, amazing job Snubby!
Very nicely done !
as soon as the final countdown started, i subscribed. you are the bestest bro.
Can you just do viva la vida. The whole thing?
Agreed. Awesome piece on this instrument.
This is an instrument inspired by a piano, you can see it on the model and compare it to a piano already, the awesome thing its you have a new kind of piano right here
you think adding felt to the edges of the pipes would cut down the slapping sound? its very dominating of the sound you created!
It's great to see that other plumbers know that they can use their plumbing talents in the music industry
Finally that wife can not scream!
This is just fucking awesome. The kid made the thing himself. I actually stop what I was doing, sat down and watched this kid play and it's just awesome
epic bro
YES! At the very least I can hear how it should be done. Shame though I discovered this remake 3 years later...
Hey, thats pretty good
Hey that's Idubbbztv!
Is the sound of him playing extremely relaxing and comforting to anyone else
Feels like asmr but without the tingles
could you do the full song of Viva La Vida by Coldplay on the PVC pipes?
I 2nd that.
Seriously, this is what had been lacking to Crazy Train and some other Ozzy songs man, just awesome, congrts!
can you make the office theme song
I agree
Muhammad Daniel Hussain Kamaruzaman that's what the first one was.
I know. But I want the full song
Как жаль, что я не нашла этот канал раньше. Исполнение, исполнитель и инструмент просто потрясающие. Однозначно LIKE!
The Final Countdown
Sounds incredible. So many songs I wish i could hear on that.
Currently building one rn and having alot of fun planning it out, just for refrence what range of notes did this arrangement of pipes have?
+jcdude1585 Sweet! Send me a video when you're finished. I'd love to check it out! This set of RimbaTubes ranges from A1-E4, but I've since added additional pipes up to a G4.
+Snubby J How many sets of RimbaTunes do you have??
Tom Bombadil Just two :-)
There are no words to how AWESOME this is.
Daniel? Damn.
Please refrain from using old memes.
If you are wondering, it is in fact, the sandstorm of Darude

The Sound is amazing. Very Clear.
Do Darude Sandstorm :P

Very great video... You performed some of my favourite songs (Crazy Train, He's a Pirate, Viva la Vida, The Final Countdown...) and it was amazing to stand in front of my monitor tasting this fantasting sounds!!! Congratulations!!!
same set up like an piano
I was thinking that too. I could probably play what he's playing on piano
yeah indeed :)
Seeing he named his instrument "Rimbatubes" it's more likely he got inspiration from a marimba (or a xylophone) than a piano. But both instruments do indeed have the same layout.
Bram Vanroy I agree. I think that he inspired in the marimba, because the way he slaps to play the songs it's similar

Go for it! Share a video if you get one :-D
Snubby J so Is it set up like a piano?
yes it is!
I actually learned how to play a song from this, thank you!
Are you wearing nail polish on your left thumb?
That looks more like it was smashed between a door or something to me D:
TheDevilHawkFilms But then his whole thumb would be like that, wouldn't it?
***** ok not gonna argue. you must be COMPLETELY RIGHT.
I've had experience with that, and it looks like that most of the time, and wouldn't it be mighty silly to have one finger with the thing? D:
his friend also has it so... clearly nail polish
I'm sure you have friends, and a life somewhere, hidden behind all of that awesomeness!
I will find who disliked this 0_o
Titan_Craft Where should we start first >:3
Hi !
LLLOOOLLL Wanna join us?
At the asians
Titan_Craft Sounds good to me.
this instrument has such a great sound to it. love listening to ur vids
You cheated on Final Countdown... lol

You Sir, I bow to you. Brilliant work!
BELATED HAPPY ANIVERSARY TO YOUR PVC INS
and also to you
As grateful as I am to not having to listen to the background noise in the original, this version just doesn't have the same ring/intensity to it
Did you watch it? I include a link to instructions that helped me.

People are amazing. Dude, you are utterly awesome and made my day! :3
The best thing ever!!
Makes my arms tired just watching
Yes, you can tell by the layout, he has his sharps/flats in the top row and all the plain keys down at the bottom
U2 guys are amazing!! I'm a fan of your greats skills and the music you create! This is very good, keep up the good work :). Greets..
Piano music = Xylophone/mallet music. Nothing changes except the amount of notes you can play at any given time.
I would pay good money to watch this live for a straight hour.
im kinda glad you did, dont get me wrong i dont hate the original just not too keen on a high pitched "woooooooooooooo" maxing out my headphones. at each tune
You guys are AMAZING, well done! I can't stop listening to this! Congratulation for such talent (:
Living, youthful, proof that innovation is alive and well.
this is pretty awesome talent man. keep up the good work.

I saw a video of your performance from another channel and I was so sad when no one cheered for the theme song of the office 😣😣😣
i see pipes everywhere and how can he know what is the good pipes to play????
AWESOME :o
To simply put it, my dad and I basically "guessed and checked" and then used an electronic chromatic tuner to fine tune the notes.
I loved the Pirates of the Caribbean and the Final Countdown!! They sounded awesome. :)
pls !! more of this video is fantastic !!! great job !!! from Italy!
amazing sound! Good JOB, dude)! from moscow with respect
You are SUCH an amazing talent!
OMG
Dude, I was looking for your chanell for AGES.
I'm so happy!=)
Yay! Glad you finally found me!
Oh wow haha. The song is Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne.
I hope your sleep pattern can become regular again.
Amazing. Nice set of songs. Well done.
Absolutely amazeballs!
Way cool! Saw a short clip of the first performance on someone’s Instagram page with other random clips and had to search it out😎
Dude you are freaking talented and creative. UA-cam five!
